Decent without any extras

I use this hotel multiple times a year for business trips. It is affordable and pretty clean. The rooms are silent, but bed comfort below average. After 20+ visits I have experienced only minor issues, and I have been quite satisfied how they was handled. Can recommend if searching for affordable prices.

What’s unique about this property is the operation is ran. Most hotels I’ve been to has staff on duty 24 hours a day but with this hotel, you have the ability to access what you need for yourself. To me this is honestly a great thing especially, for the people who like to do things on their own.

Will stay there again

There was supposed to be a receptionist there when we arrived. She was not. I called the number on the door, and they couldn’t find her either. We had an issue with our room, and just had to unpack since we couldn’t find her. However, the next day she came to our room and fixed the problem. Most rooms are smaller than the Hotels.com pictures. There are two laundries and two kitchens on each floor, as well as a small refrigerator and microwave in each room. The room was very comfortable. The second room we were in was perfect for our needs. Although there is a receptionist there only 3 hours a day, there are security cameras. When they saw someone trying to break into cars they called the police and the police were there within minutes. Very impressed with that.

Good value for money. I had to use only for sleepover for 1 night. For Breakfast we had to walk approx 400 m to a separate place - that should be close to Hotel. As such breakfast was good.

Overall nice experience. Friendly staff. Best value for $$. Rooms are small, but have everything you may need. I'd stay there again.

Pretty good experience on the whole. Walking distance (12 minutes) of Leppävaara station which can easily be reached from Helsinki Vantaa airport. Tipp: get your room access code sent as a text message to your phone and as an e-mail, as either may be delayed, especially the text messages abroad. Room was clean and well furnished, if a little small. The reception was never staffed during my stay, but that was no problem as everything worked. One day the WIFI was unstable (could not connect my notebook) but the WIFI worked with the mobile OK. Several restaurants nearby (500 meters) recommend the Kathmandu Palace.

Practical and clean.

Clean and tidy. Once you got use to the access system everything was in order. Good bed and in room facilities. Close to Ring 1, buses and trains. Local shopping mall was convenient.

Basic but excellent facilities for self-catering. Keypad access may be unusual for some but it's easy and convenient. Although situated outside Helsinki proper, it's well located near a train station with fast and frequent access downtown. There also a mall and numerous restaurants and supermarkets thereabouts.

All you need & no frills

A pleasant stopover after a long journey. Not great for those on foot but reasonably close to a large shopping centre and a train station. Breakfast in the old house was out of this world. A fabulous start to the day and the best part of this stopover. Afternoon tea wasn't bad either!

Forenom"inal"

Exactly what you need and want at a very fair price. No frills, no extras, just nice, clean facilities with comfortable beds with enough room components (coffee pots and microwave and plates, etc) and some hall shared components (full kitchen, washer/dryer) for a pleasant longer stay.

COMFORTABLE BUT INCONVENIENT

There is no staff at this apartment after 5 pm so you are on your own when you arrive. No directions or information for airport, train, taxi, or bus. No directions for places to eat, etc. Once you figure out how to call a taxi, It is a 45 Euro taxi ride to the Helsinki airport. This would be good for a longer stay where you can figure out where things are located, but it is very difficult for a one or two night stay. My room was clean, comfortable, quiet and half the size of a normal hotel room. It is a good value but you have to get past the inconvenience of no help from staff.

Leisure

Located walking distance from the city center. The property is very clean with everything you can expect from a modern appartment. Easy Check in/Check out iprocess. Grocery stores, restaurants, shopping mall and the railway/ bus station is only 1 1/2 Km away. I used a day pass from HSL for my commuting and was all over Helsinki and suburbs. Did not make any difference wether stayed in Helsinki or not.

Very Good

The stay was good. Only draw back not having reception open during week ends. Everything you have to depend on 24 hour telephone. One could face difficulties in an emergency particularly those who are not familiar with the system. For me I had Finnish friend who took care of this.

Clean and tidy. Single bed was the narrowest bed I have ever slept in and mattress was very old and uncomfortable. 10 minute walk to train station which is good - and to shops - though note - you need to go underground at the train station to come out at the correct side to walk to hotel - this wasn't included in the directions - and I wasted an hour trying to find hotel on first day. Room was small. Shower was good. Would have been nice if some soap had been supplied (other than the foam stuff in the shower). Expected more from price I paid. Location wise is good - only 3 train stops to Helsinki - about 15 minutes. Also area is quiet, so no noise at night etc.

Room is bit smelly, otherwise it is very good.

Unusual in the sense their was very little staff.The experience was unusual in the sense you needed to remember the code to your room.

Nice and clean

Happy se chose Forenom. The hotel/apartment ess clean and tidy. We got free parking and 2 separate rooms for ourselves and our teenagers at a really affordable price. We walked to the train station and stayed in Helsinki until evening. The trains are super-convenient the walk was a bit tricky the first time because of construction in the area. (It would be great if you could find a map in the common areas). We will stay again when visiting family in Helsinki area and I would gladly recommend ! An extra bonus for us was the laundry room where we could wash some clothes!

Nice place. Don't try calling customer service though; even though it says "24/7", I was always on hold every time. You're better off emailing. Other than that, I would recommend.

Staff was very helpful. Needed SIM tool to use local SIM, front desk had safety pin for this purpose. Forgot EU -> US outlet adapter, front desk provided free of charge. Breakfast is a bit down the road, but a good spread. Rooms are tiny, with tiny bathrooms. Beds are small even for single-bed. Linens are reasonable quality.

Pleasant hotel, clean and modern but cosy.

The hotel served me perfectly because I were out all day and did not need other services ,only a comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day. I had all I needed and I will be happy to stay at this hotel again in the future.

WELL LOCATED, QUIET, CLEAN AND WARM

STAYED FOR FIVE NIGHTS VISITING MY SON AND ROOM WAS EXCELLENT, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. KITCHEN FACILITIES COULD HAVE HAD MORE COOKING PANS AND UTENSILS;OTHERWISE EVERYTHING ELSE WAS THERE. LOVED THE THEMED FLOORS!

The hotel was good as it was at walking distance from the shopping mall and the train/bus station. I would not recommend people to take the room with breakfast as breakfast is not in the same hotel building and it is in a café giving a feel of going to a separate restaurant. I would rather go to the mall instead. Room size is very very small but it has microvare and kettle and command kitch and laundry rooms if you want to you.

Very nice residential apartment hotel

Late arrival facilitated by key-code (no keys at all!) communicated via SMS and e-mail on day of arrival. Hotel has parking, though not used on this trip. Location is residential in a suburb area of Helsinki about 20-25 min from downtown by walking+public transport, shopping centre (Sello) is about 15 min walk away. Very quiet environment. Individual apartments are small, but well equipped and efficient, and there are open working / eating places in the centre lobby area of each floor with vending machines. The hotel has no restaurant - and breakfast is available at a nearby café in the morning - about 4-5 min walk from the hotel. Restaurants nearby are really only found in the shopping centre.

The rooms are clean and exactly as they appear in the pictures. Front desk was very helpful. It's a 10min walk to the train station and a large shopping centre. It's noteworthy that since the place is outside Helsinki, it costs 5,50 one-way to the city and back. You can find anything you need in Leppävaara until 9pm, but after that the city is dead and you need to take a train elsewhere.

Aluksi en oikein tajunnut, miten taloon pääsee sisälle. Onneksi toinen asiakas päästi. Hissi mielestäni ei toiminut toivotulla tavalla joka kerta. Odotellessani kirjautumiskoodia soitin annettuun numeroon, josta vastasi nauhoite englanniksi. Kaikki oli automatisoitua ilman henkilökohtaisia kontakteja isäntäväkeen. Monet kirjautumiskoodit ovat muistamisriski.

Siisti pikku asunto sopi hyvin parin päivän työreissun majapaikaksi. Jouduin liikkumaan työni vuoksi autolla, ja kaikki katujen ja ulkoparkkipaikkojen autopaikat olivat täpötäynnä kun saavuin keskellä yötä. Soitin Forenomin puhelinpalveluun, josta ystävällinen naisihminen auttoi varaamaan kohtuuhintaisen paikan talon alla sijaitsevasta parkkihallista, joka olikin miltei tyhjillään. Hyvä ja nopeasti saavutettava 24/7 palvelu pelasti reissun, kiitos siitä!

Natural beauty and quiet

I love the location and the quiet. Even though I (without a car) need to walk uphill for 15 minutes from the train station to the hotel, I do it happily to be near Helsinki's lovely rocky outcroppings (kalliot). I've been here three times and each time, it's the best view outside my window that I can get in Hki, in my opinion. There's a large shopping center at the train station and so, everything one would need. If you come here, don't miss a chance to walk on top of Vallikallio, WWI fortifications trenches built into the rock. They are just behind the hotel. Gives a sense of history.

ei erityisen viihtyisä, mutta ok -siisti ja melko rauhallisella alueella. huono äänieristys: naapurihuoneen telkkariohjelma kuuluu kuin katsoisi itse.

TV ei toiminut koska kaukosäätimestä paristot loppu ? Siivoojan pitäisi kokeilla toimiiko TV ,testillä auki-kiinni. Varrellinen kenkälusikka puuttuu.

Suihkun viemäriä ei ole tyhjennetty joten kaikki vesi laineili ympäri kylpyhuonetta, melkein oli ehtinyt yleistiloihin ennen kun huomasin ettei viemäri vedä. Huoneessa oli myös hieman huono ilma.

Huone 616. Ison ikkunan tuplat eivät ole kiinni vaan hakaset auki! Kahvinkeittimessä homeinen suodatinpussi. Toisen lukulampun valokytkin rikki.

Monet kerrat yöpyneenä on harmillista todeta, että paikan taso on laskenut dramaattisesti. Huoneet eivät ole olleet kunnossa, ei tule lämmintä vettä tai pyyhkeet puuttuvat. Hotellista oli ilmanvaihto pois päältä ja huoneissa +30’C lämmintä. Asiakaspalvelua ei tunnu kiinnostavan. Kiitos ja kuitti.

Siistiä oli. Kuitenkin, lämpötila huoneessa ja yleisissä tiloissa oli sietämätön, toivottavasti lyhytaikainen ongelma.

Majoittuminen kävi helposti. Huone oli siisti ja kaikki toimi. Ilmainen parkkipaikka oli plussaa.

Jeg er veldig fornøyd med oppholdet, det er veldig sentralt stille og rolig her, jeg har brukt hotellet flere ganger og kommer til å bruke det igjen. Sengetøyet / hodeputene er elendig og trenger virkelig en oppgradering.

Astiat tiskattu vähän huonosti ja pölyt pyyhkimättä mm. lamppujen päältä, mutta muuten puhdas ja kotoisa huone. Tiskausvälineet ja talouspaperi ja pieni astiasto löytyi kaapista valmiina. Tyynyt oli aika pienet. Rauhallinen käytävä ja ulkoakaan ei melua juuri kuulunut, vaikka olikin viikonloppu.

Sijainti erinomainen. Erittäin hyvät sängyt. Hiljainen ympäristo, vaikka nukuimme ikkuna raollaan ei mikään meteli häirinnyt.Huone oli pieni kahden hengen huone keittonurkkauksella. Siellä oli kuitenkin kaikki tarvittava. Hinta-laatusuhde erinomainen.

Huone oli hiljainen ja sänky hyvä. Huoneen tuoli kaipaa päivitystä

Huoneen siisteys jätti paljon toivomisen varaa. Lakanat, WC ja pöytäpinnat olivat kyllä puhtaita, mutta sängyn alta löytyi aiemman asukkaan alusvaatteita ja leikattuja kynsiä, roskiksen pohjalla löyhkäsi käytettyjä nuuskapusseja ja vessan ilmastointikanavasta puski ulos harmaata möhnää. Sijainti oli tarpeisiini hyvä ja huone ajoi asiansa. Hinta-laatusuhde olisi hyvä, kunhan huoneet siivottaisiin vähän perusteellisemmin. Likakertymät eivät olleet mitään viikossa tai parissa tulleita, vaan selkeästi pidemmältä ajalta.

Hyvä sijainti. Kauppa/ kaupat (Sello) kävelymatkan etäisyydellä. Positiivista ilmainen pysäköinti pihassa, tosin jos haluaa ehtiä saada paikan, niin ei kannata saapua kovin myöhään illalla, silloin jo kaikki paikat varattu. Hiljainen ja rauhallinen huoneistohotelli. Huoneessa aika kuuma.

Clean and comfy

I used the apartment to do some writing in solitude. The single studio apartment was perfect for my needs. It was a quiet stay, no noise from anywhere, comfy bed and an adequate working table plus a small, fully equipped kitchenette with a separate table. Everything was clean, although I felt the need to wash all kitchen utensils before using them - did not know if they were washed by a professional cleaner or the last visitor. The room is very basic, nothing extra, furniture is your basic Ikea quality.

Hyvin toimi työtilana

Todella siisti, mukava ja valoisa huone, jossa oli hyvä keskittyä työntekoon muutama päivä. Astiat, mikro ja jääkaappi myös miellyttävän puhtaassa kunnossa. Hiljaista ja rauhallista!

Avainkoodi systeemi toimi asianmukaisesti. Huone oli siisti. Voin suositella majoitusta mikäli et tarvitse oikean hotellin lisäpalveluita vaan edullinen mutta toimiva versio kuten tämä on mieleesi.

Pienehkö, mutta puhdas huone

Muuten ihan hyvä puhdas huone ja on kaikki tarvittava. Vähän harmittava oli, että huoneen pienestä koosta johtuen kahden hengen sänky sijaitsi näin että sen pääty ja sivu olivat seinän vieressä. Eli toinen henkilö voi astua sängystä lattialle normaalisti, mutta toisen piti ryömiä sängyn pitkää sivua pitkin (jos kumppani oli vielä sängyssä).

Edullinen majapaikka, omalla autolla liikkuvalle hyvä sijainti. Sänky aivan kelvollinen, mutta tyynyt olivat loppuunkuluneet reuhkat.

Ihan hyvin meni ja hintalaatu kohdillaan

Huone oli tällä kertaa pieni, pienempi kuin yleensä samassa hotellissa. Parkkipaikkaa ei löydy mistään kilometrin säteellä, jos tulet myöhempään.

Ihan siisti huoneisto. Miinuksena että pedit vähän epämukavat.

Yleisilme ja pinnat siistit, eikä pahoja kulumisen jälkiä ollut missään. Plussaa siitä, että mikron ja vedenkeittimen lisäksi huone sisälsi ruokailuvälineitä ja erilaisia lautasia. Huonekoodi tuli ajoissa ja toimi. Miinusta epäkäytännöllisesti asetetusta (kiinteästä) pöydästä, joka esti sänkyjen viennin vierekkäin (saimme varausta tehdessä sen kuvan, että huoneessa olisi parisänky).

Huone hyvä lukuun ottamatta jääkaapin karvoja jota en sitten käyttänyt. Ruuanlaittomahdollisuus hyvä. Aika eli huoneeseen pääsy ja pois liian lyhyt. En ehtinyt kunnolla levätä muuta kuin nukuin klo21-05:30. Aika vaan lyhyt pitäisi olla lähempänä 24tuntia vaikka muutaman tunnin.
