My stay was pleasant. They have a curtains for each bed, that will give you some privacy The location was great. Easy access to lots of the tourist attractions. Kitchen was fully equipped

It was nice shared rooms can be loud and people come back late, book a whole room with friends for the best experience

Highly recommend for a short stay

I did the private room at this hostel and it was extremely comfortable, clean, and made for just a really pleasant experience overall. Location was pretty nice with lots of restaurants, bars, and stores right nearby and it was a pretty convenient place for going to all the major attractions

Bed bug bites or something similar in the bed

The main reason I am giving a bad review is that I had several bites over the week that I stayed there. First I thought the bite occurred in another place, but then I started noticing that the bites occured through the night. Overall the hotel is fine, but the bites are a main health issue that can ruin your stay. After 3 days out of the hotel, I am still suffering from the bites.

Worth the stay very affordable

Really nice and safe hostel as a solo female traveller. The rooms were fantastic and clean. They considered special requests made at the last moment. The staff is super friendly and available 24x7. The transport is great too. Will definitely revisit. :)

Would stay again

The place was nice, I rated my comfort level 3 stars because their rooms are on the 2 and 3rd floor and they did not have a working elevator which was annoying but everything else was A+. The team there were helpful and allowed us to store our luggage before and after our stay. They provided us with towels which I’m not sure is common for hostels but a helpful touch. The hostel is also really close to a lot of restaurants and stores. The walk to the castle district was about 30-40min.

Good hostel overall, however bathrooms probably needs renovating (they seem quite old). Beds are comfy, however airflow might need improving, as it can feel a bit musty (can open windows thankfully). There a kitchen and lounge area and a quiet study area which is quite nice. I liked the storage space above the beds and also the lockers underneath

Nice, clean stay and central location.

The six bed female dorm was clean, quiet and we'll air conditioned. My only comment was that there was a male staff member who simply walked in without knocking to clean the room. It's a female dorm, so someone might have been changing. When I pointed out that he should knock, he said "sure" as if he was going me a favor. Perhaps some extra training is needed for that particular staff member.

Good hostel

Enjoyed my stay here. Construction going on Flor one and the stairs, but not a huge deal. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. Friendly and helpful 24hr reception.

It’s okay for staying one or two nights there. The staffs looked like having a bad mood or something, didn’t have that much patient to the guests. The location is nice, very close to Kálvin tér, central market and liberty bridge.

Most of the staff were very friendly and were quick to offer touring advice and options. The rooms were nice and ventilated but the bathroom would get so hot and uncomfortable.

The pictures are completely different the bedding sheets were dirty with stains no air conditioning working just to make you aware charge of towel is overpriced of 5 euros there is no free toiletries or shower gel in bathroom it’s not private shower it’s shared they hostel have given false information about what they offer

a calm relaxing vibe

All of the reception staff I encountered were gentle, helpful people. The overall vibe was very calm and relaxed which I really appreciated. I also liked the small extras in the sleep space; a curtain, a light, a shelf, outlets and a cupboard. There is a quiet area which is a nice touch. The pillows could do with replacing. Sadly the cleaning staff did not have the same approach to the guests as the reception staff. The woman cleaning the kitchen in the morning talked on her cell phone or with another cleaner while she barely paid attention to the cleaning. She banged plates so loudly that my entire room was woken up at 8am even though our room was not close to the kitchen. Also, our private bathroom had mold on the tiles as there is not proper ventilation. It might be a good idea to cut a hole over the bathroom door to help air flow and to employ a more conscientious cleaner. Lastly, there are 61 steps leading up to the hostel. I have a bad knee and the amount of steps did not affect my knee at all as there is a railing and the steps are not steep. However, my suitcase has been badly scratched as I had to painstakingly drag it up step by step. It is not the end of the world but something to keep in mind if you have heavy and/or expensive luggage. Despite my criticisms I would stay again due to the reception staff and the overall calm atmosphere.

It was ok is very noice in the rooms you can hear everything Goung on in common area

Everything was great! Would highly recommend this hostel. The only issue was that the bathroom in my room (the 8-bed female dorm) was moldy on the edges and very stuffy due to the high temperature in it. Other than that, staff were wonderful, great events, and awesome common area/chillout spaces.

Great hostel

Nice set up in dorms with privacy curtain and plug socket and light by bed. Lots of big common areas which gives nice feel to hostel and really good kitchen. Location is great for public transport links and can walk to some central locations. Would stay here again next time in Budapest.

Nice location

Room was good but neighbours were noisy until 4am

The room was good, a slight complaint in that the pictures clearly show towels provided but you have to pay for these. The rest of the hostel is good and the staff were helpful however we didn't get any sleep. From 1am until 4am people were banging about, having loud conversations and arguing around the building.

I really liked it

First of all converting a 100 years old building to a comfortable place to stay is not easy and they did it. All pictures are recently taken and accurate. Very clean and safe place to stay, mostly Ikea stuff. Clean and renovated bathrooms in and out of rooms, very close to bazar and Aldi to buy and preaper food specially for breakfast( large kitchen with 4 stoves and free good quality tea bags). Having one safe for your backpack, one smaller safe above bed for small stuff, large free safe in front desk Easy to keep cell phones on charge with a tray close to power plug above the bed. And most importantly, very quiet place in quite building - floor 2 , no elevators. Enjoy staing there

Overall a good stay

The location is really handy for sights/bars and restaurants, though it is quite difficult to find at first. You need to go down a short alley and there's no sign on the street; it took us a while to find the hostel. The reception staff were brilliant, very welcoming and full of information! We stayed in an 8 bed female dorm which was in good condition - the rooms were a little noisy at night but that's not the hostel's fault! There was loads of room in the beds and they were very sturdy. The only real negative thing for me was the tiny bathroom - it looked like it needed a deep clean and it smelled damp. Overall a good stay.

Good location

Nice hostel, have your own bunk with power and light. Great location for exploring. Has a media room to watch movies if you like. Nice kitchen.

Flow hostel is an airy hostel located near the centre of Budapest. I had a great stay there.

A great base for travellers

The communal area (kitchen/dining room, sitting area) was great. The bedroom was a bit on the cramped side. Close to the market, where you can find all sorts of local foods. The direct airport bus departs from a nearby metro station.

Cute and Comfy

This was my first Hostel experience and I think it left my standards very high. The staff was excellent, the rooms pretty quiet, and the lounge areas were the right amount of lively. Wonderful. Would stay again if I visited Budapest again.

Good hostel, but lacking a little something

First off: there are a lot of positive things to say about this hostel. The location is ideal for exploring the city from and it's close to the metro as well. It's great that each bed has a little curtain around and that access to a light and plug sockets have been considered as well. The shower was powerful and warm, too! I didn't think the hostel was super clean and the drainage in the bathrooms seemed to be quite smelly while I was there. It's also a little lacking on the vibe front.

Clean hostel in a good location and with good transport connections. Renovation underway, which made a little noise in the morning. We stayed in a private room, which was basically clean, and everything worked. The staff was friendly. I recommend it.
