This place was loud. You hear every door, every cough, every dog bark, everything. Worst was the high pitched humming of the electric cooler used as a fridge. Even after hiking all day and exhausted sleep was impossible in this place.
New , clean . Good vibes
such a cute hotel!!
Pleasantly surprised!
I found this place randomly and chose it because of it's proximity to Arches, it was pet friendly (dogs everywhere!), and very reasonably priced. The rooms were SOOO spacious and I liked the common space, fire pit, and pool areas, and appreciated the little coffee shop at reception. They also had a cool little shop there too.
Best Bang for your Buck :)
Best bang for your buck in Moab! Much cleaner than a few of the big name hotels in the area. The room was in great condition and newly renovated. I really appreciated how clean it was. The cute, modern feel will result in us returning. The only downside to this hotel is that the outside and the hallways could use a bit of TLC.
Fun, Dog Friendly, Great Theme!
We stayed here as my fiancé and I are getting married in the Moab area in October. A friend recommended this hotel and it was great! The theming was so fun, and the staff super friendly. Also a very walkable area. We thought the beds were a little firm for our taste, but if that’s your thing then you’ll love them! We will definitely be back to Field Station.
Family review
We had a short trip, so we didn’t have much time to explore, but unfortunately, the hotel didn’t feel comfortable for a family with two young children. The hotel looked unique and modern so we wanted to check it out but it lacked the cozy, inviting atmosphere we enjoy on vacation. It’s probably a better fit for couples or individuals or maybe even families with older children. Rooms were a little noisy since it is close to a road but tolerable. The gear store and coffee area were great, but we had to wait quite a while for staff in the morning. Not the most ideal experience for a family stay.
Wonderful
It was a lovely hotel, I wish we had more time to use the community spaces but we only were there one night.
Awesome property for Arches!
Amazing property for a stay in Moab. Gives the feel of being there to explore the outdoors. Very close to Arches National Park and a short drive into downtown Moab.
We loved our stay at field station. It was off season so there were few guests. Staff were super helpful and the rooms were so well designed. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the linens superb. I can’t wait to come back!
The room has the following issues: - bathroom door: If you have the bathroom door open you cannot leave the room because the bathroom door open block the main door of the room - the shower was really bad, the water from the shower has a weird flux that doesn’t allow a relaxing shower - The WiFi didn’t work well. I stayed in Moab several days and I can confirm that there are other cheaper hotel that are better
Great stay - highly recommended when visiting Moab.
Very good
This is the perfect hotel for bumpkins like me that like things simple and fun.
From Cheap to Chic
Really cool property with an edgy vibe. Used to be an old Best Western but got remodeled by new owners, renamed and redone. Great space
Staff is always welcoming. Rooms are big and have lots of cool amenities.
Decent place
This place is ok - the halls kinda noisy at night. Kind of different decor in the rooms Perfect if you are biking or hiking around town. Biggest problem - the outlet in the bathroom is far away from the mirror so kinda hard for the wife to do her hair . Hot tub & pool looks nice .
The property itself is fine, the hotel is clean and modern, and it's just a few minutes outside of the main business area in Moab. However, I recommend steering clear of this place purely based on the staff who were consistently unhelpful here, particularly as someone who booked through Expedia. Specifically, when I needed to check out early to avoid a large snow storm the staff told me to contact Expedia. I contacted Expedia, who said they needed to call the front desk (literally the people I just talked to) only to have them tell me they couldn't alter the reservation. It felt a little bit money-grabby from the hotel but whatever. So, once I decided to just eat the cost and leave early the staff told me they couldn't check me out because it was an Expedia reservation and to call the front desk later... I called the front desk later and they said they'd already checked me out and to check my email; sure enough there was no email and I had to call again. :sigh: That they didn't want to tell me to my face that they couldn't give me a refund tells me they're embarrassed about being stingy (as they should be) but the ineptitude around managing reservations will make it so I never return and recommend others stay away, particularly if you're using expedia.
We had just completed a 9 hour drive and we were tired. My husband went in to check in while I took our dog to relieve herself. He was rudely told he was not able to check in because I was the one to make the reservation. No "welcome in!" No "how are you?" No, "I'm sorry!" He was tired and frustrated and there was absolutely no empathy from the staff. Then, after I checked in and we were moving our stuff in, the same rude staff member shoved a form in his face about having a dog with us. No courtesy, kindness or manners at all. That was after we walked through a bunch of dirt and dust being blown around us at the front entrance. They were working on the roof or something so we endured the dust at check in, then listened to the leaf blower for the next hour or so. The room is like a barracks. I saw pictures but didn't realize it was so minimalist. Obviously not our cup of tea-we made do. If you're a young adventurer maybe it's just right for you. If you don't mind rude staff, go for it. I'm stoked for you.
This was a great place for us and our doggie. Super welcoming and the shares spaces were a really nice touch
Nice remodel of an old hotel. Rooms were comfortable and so were common areas. Only con was the noise from hallways.
Such a cool place to stay! Room was simple and had lots of storage. We were able to check in early and slept very well.
Great. Unique experience
Great staff, great facilities and very clean. This was a great place to stay and offered fun common areas. Great cafe, and sport accessory shop. Very nice staff and very clean rooms, pool and common areas. This was our 3rd stay and we'll be back. Great job Field Station! Thank you!!
Loved the concept...green, simple, great towels and sheets
Overall, acceptable, but strong chemically smell in the room.
Perfect
Clean and comfortable, beautiful patio
Clean property and friendly staff
Hip hotel. Well designed for outdoor people. Lots of storage place for gear. Very clean.
Staff and the room were incredible. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
Love my two nights here!
Excellent spot to recoup from hiking. Staff is very friendly and provide great recommendations.
Wonderful stay. Eco friendly. Staff excellent
Nice place in Moab
Nice place in Moab. Very simple/austere interior decorations, but costs are also commensurately low. Comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff, great food available from their kitchen. Nice fire pit, pool, and game room facilities. Convenient for access to downtown -- a short drive away. Also good place for visiting Canyonlands and Arches National Parks.
This is a really hip place with good food and coffee. It’s also extremely clean. Beds are super comfortable.
loved it!! what a beautiful hotel with such a friendly and helpful staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)
Just wish it was a bit quieter but the property is awesome
Everything was great
If REI had hotels it would look like this. The room was a bit small but well organized and clean. Beds were comfortable too. No complaints.
This was an awesome hotel that was pet friendly and really close to pretty much everything. The amenities themselves are great and the staff was always helpful.
Service was a little gruff. But the property was fine and the location good for arches.
best pillows, blanket and mattress ever. super clean room and bathroom. nothing to complain about
Excellent
Very nice stay for our visit to Moab. Room was clean and spacious for our family of 4. Whole place has a great vibe! Outside sitting area near the pool always had the fire going and was very inviting. All the employees we encountered were great as well. Would definitely stay at Field Station Moab again for a future visit!
Awesome place, plenty of amenities and excellent design. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Moab!
Great attention to detail and hospitality
This is by far the cleanest hotel I have stayed in down in Moab. The room was spotless and not even a single water spot in the shower nor the sink area. I loved the bike rack in the room as well. The parking lot was huge and I was able to find spots near my room each day. I liked that the hallways were locked by keycard. This made me feel safe knowing only guests could roam the hotel. Staff was kind and friendly in all of my interactions. I would definitely stay here again. The only complaint I had was the breakfast. There are limited options, it’s not free, and wasn’t worth the price for the food I purchased. It was implied upon checkin that it was free, so I was bummed that I waited for opening to find out it wasn’t. Other than that, fantastic place to stay and I’ll stay here again.
Great place clean and great outdoor space
Great for outdoor enthusiasts but very few in room amenities. Concrete floors, below average bed, super loud AC.
Very unique hotel. Newer property. The staff was very polite and responsive.
Pool, hot tub, contemporary design, laundry, quite a d very friendly
:) finger boards in the room? How cool could it be!!!
Great place to stay
This is a great place to stay for active people, young or old. The room was nice, well maintained and stocked. The washer/dryer cycles were complimentary and the staff very friendly. The pool & fire ring were nice too. I’m looking forward to staying in a new hotel they’re opening in Joshua Tree.
very convenient to site,
Very convenient and comfortable stay. The only thing odd was that there was no coffee in the room. But they had free coffee in the front desk area.
Good place to stay
Super neat outdoors-themed hotel
The window ac was extremely noisy and bathroom was cramped. Ping pong paddles were torn. Expected it to be better when the cost is more than 200 plus a night.
What a cool place! I love their attention to detail including a bike stand in the room!
Very upscale. Nice firepit area. Staff friendly. Pool area nice. Clean rooms
Property was clean and well maintained.
This is a unique hotel geared toward outdoor adventurers and has interesting decor that reflects that orientation. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable, bathroom updated, and besides a pool and hottub, there is a firepit with surrounding chairs. There was an international clientel that made the stay even more fun!
We hate to write a poor review, but we wish we would have read about these details prior to booking. Before we get to that, here are our positives: on site coffeehouse, store, games, laundry & pool. Our initial impression was unwelcoming upon checking in. The individual at the front desk made an unprofessional / smart remark as we were checking in. Additionally, they acted as if they couldn’t care less that we were staying there. We understand the minimalistic design, geared towards adventure and catering to that aspect. However, aesthetic over function is not a great feature for a “hotel.” Pro tip: do not just “plop” down on the bed — hard as a rock!! We woke up very sore after an unrestful night of sleep. What also played into the poor sleep was how THIN the ceiling & walls are. We could hardly sleep due to walking around upstairs, bikes coming down the hall, people talking, etc. Don’t plan on watching any tv while staying — it’s there but doesn’t work. Maybe the worse part… there was a wooden dowel rod in our window sill that was acting as the lock for our window. The actual lock was a cheap plastic that obviously the owner knows will not hold if tested. We stayed at the back of the property (that doesn’t appear the most safe) & this was a very unsettling feature. Lastly, we are very annoyed at the price that we paid for such a terrible experience. This is what seems to be a renovated Motel 8 & despite the aesthetic upgrades, the bones still scream motel 8.
Only a couple of things to note: the AC was very loud! Also we stayed four nights and while a couple of nights without maid service is fine, we would have appreciated some fresh towels & someone to mop up all the red sand we tracked in.
Great facility close to Arches NP. Pet friendly, sports centered. Rooms are large with lots of outlets, beds are comfy and clean. Staff is great!
Over priced Basic. No frills. However clean for the amount of people there;
Very clean and convenient room..
Great starting point for our Moab adventure. Loved the fire pit, morning coffee and breakfast options.
In a week, I was there twice. The first time was excellent. The second was good but the key didn't work so I had to schlep to the front desk after unloading and loading back up my car because I couldn't leave it in front of my door. The young woman at the desk did not acknowledge the inconvenience or say I'm sorry. Was rather disappointed in that but otherwise cool idea with the minimalism and having daily hiking suggestions, gear shop. The fridges in the rooms are Dometic coolers. The keys are cardboard. They do not accept cash so please note that
Loved the decor and vibe of this hotel. Close to the arches national park. I would definitely recommend and I would stay here again.
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bed sheets were clean and no rancid smells of other people in sheets pillows and towels which is amazing. Very nice hotel, only thing is that the WiFi was quite slow and not secured.
This was one of my favorite stays! The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage and livable area. The view was amazing. Staff at the front desk and coffee shop treated us so well and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Can’t wait to come back!
Great place to stay
New facility and friendly staff
I liked the look of this room and the beds were very comfortable.Great shower area as well. There was coffee but no free breakfast which is always nice when traveling. A minus for me was the number of people with dogs (one person's dog was relieving himself right outside the entry on the trash can) and there was dog fur on the bathroom floor. There was a nice patio area outside and the whole town of Moab had lots of good restaurants to choose from.
Great staff with awesome staff!
Didn’t feel genuinely welcome. My little one got sick and I asked for a late check out. I spoke to Heather at front desk whose first words to me were “ we have a high turnover and we don’t do late checkout.but I can give you till 10:30 am” my check out date was Tuesday after Labor Day! I’ve been to many, many hotels/resorts and I’ve never been told such a thing. Not all the rooms get cleaned daily and housekeeping wasn’t even near my room doing housekeeping on any of the rooms adjacent to mine. Additionally, upon check out she asked if everyone was out of the room?!? …I was present when other people checked out on prior days and no one that was Caucasian was asked that ridiculous question. I’m traveling with my children, so I would not leave them in the room (#408) and walk all the way to the front desk to complete checkout. Lastly, pizza for $15 needs to have a better presentation and be well cooked otherwise it is a $5-$7 pizza served in an oversized recyclable paper plate. It is my first time at Field Station and Moab. I didn’t know better…Glad to find out there are so many options that might be seem less rigid and preoccupied with covering high turnover. I didn’t even get the code to get inside the pool area.
Cool space!
Upon arrival, Joseph greeted us with a smile. He let us know we could check in a couple of hours early and offered us use of the pool and facilities while we waited. Joseph was friendly and welcoming in every encounter during our stay - he is awesome! The other front desk employees were just ok. They did their job and were friendly enough. The employees we saw in the halls, cleaning rooms, were all very nice & friendly, too. The hotel is just like the pictures. Clean, minimalistic, unique. The amenities are fantastic - great pool, game room, free laundry, good coffee & snacks. And bike racks in the room. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is great - far enough from the main drag to be quiet, but close enough to get to the center of town in a couple of minutes. Lots of easy, free parking. A great facility for families and adventurers, alike! We will definitely be back with our mountain bikes!
We loved this minimalistic hotel. We will definitely be back
We really enjoyed our stay here and can’t wait to visit the one in Joshua Tree. Highly recommend staying here!
Very good renovated place
Great beds. Room decor was different in a good way. Refrigerator froze everything but was ok. Had water fill station in lobby. Weren’t able to use. Pool, but looked nice.
Unique hotel. Great access to Arches.
Loved it all!
This is a fun hotel for the hiker, biker, and general outdoorsy person. Floors are concrete so bringing your dirt bike into your room isn't a problem. They even have a bike stand for a bike. Having said that, the corridor floors are a bit sandy. Our room was clean and spacious for lots of gear. The interior design was fun and fitting to the outdoorsy theme. My only gripe was the placement of the outlet was a stretch to be able to see yourself while blow-drying your hair. Also, make sure you read the goings on pamphlet. We missed some events on their patio that would have been fun.
Outfitter shop and excursion planning in the lobby. Complimentary laundry facility on site. Outstanding new restaurant next door Birdy's.
This property caters to the biking crowd. Not the Harley kind, the spandex kind. Very friendly. Rooms are very efficient and very modern. Families appear to be very welcome, as are pets. Minor maintenance was well handled and not a problem. Would stay there again.
Loved how it was decorated
Loved how it was decorated. Very clean. They were resurfacing the parking lot and there was not many places to park. The hall smelt like a cat lady’s house.
Awesome place great value clean upgraded just plain great
Great stuff, nice place.
What an amazing place!!! Everything was geared toward outdoors and the outfitter gear in the lobby was perfect for picking up items we needed for our hikes! The game room was bustling with games and ping pong! Exceptional hospitality from the staff. One request…..get decaf coffee.
Cool place to stay for Moab!
Very cool hotel, loved the queen sized bunk beds! Great location for Arches and downtown Moab. Of note-no elevator so if you don’t do stairs, be sure to request first floor. The rooms have plug-in coolers and there are microwaves in a common area. We would stay here again for sure.
This was an interesting stay. It is very minimalistic. No bucket for ice, no glasses, no phone in rooms. The floors were cement, not carpet. It felt very stale to us. Staff was very friendly though and it was clean.
A wonderful new generation place to stay aimed at hikers and outdoor types. Innovative design of rooms and common spaces. Modest offerings for breakfast and lunch. Even a 82 year old visitor can appreciate.
Amazing place to stay! Loved the decor & staff!
Awesome!
We loved it here for the Arches portion of our summer trip. The room was super roomy and comfortable for our family of five and our boys loved the pool. We had everything we needed and more!
Moab must stay
Friendly, creative, eco cool hotel.
Great value and convenient. Sets up well for bikers.
Great place to stay

Absolutely loved our time in Moab. Hotel had great accommodations and was in a perfect location. Highly recommend for the comfort and price
