A very beautiful lobby and rooms. Very polite and kind staff, very professional Delicious food at o’shin ..we ended up not to eat at bacco, because we thought the menu flat prices was a bit odd concept, which is a shame..

Lovely hotel with a nice setting However let down by no air con in the room in the winter made the room too warm. Reception advised this was hotel policy. Made sleeping at night hard. Restaurants do not show menu prices outside each venue Breakfast buffet large, but cooked hot food was only like warm. Only the omelette was hot. Their own app did not work, you could not select the hotel. Was reported but nothing happened

Overall very comfortable and upscale. Eating options were good nearby which made up for very expensive on site options tho again the quality was good An excellent hotel if one is looking for a good chill out venue

We enjoyed a wonderful stay. Excellent reputation and reviews are well deserved. Breakfast was outstanding, staff were first rate. The pool area is lovely. On the other hand the small beach is not a major asset and needs work; there is quite a bit of recent and ongoing waterfront landscaping in the area around the hotel. Our room did have "partial sea view" but also faced the property's noisy air conditioning unit..

Having stayed at many luxury hotels before, the Elysium stands out as being one of the best. The management and staff just get everything right! The room, the food, the location, even the smell in the hotel is super! We will be back!

The Elysium is a very nice hotel to stay at with a variety of accommodation. I particularly research this place to find a Duplex that really suited my needs. Being so near the coast there was a lovely breeze that helped with the high temperatures we experienced (34). The staff all seemed very good at whatever job they were hired for. We particularly enjoyed our garden area which backed out onto a very quiet area and didn't see much of the sun, which was great for a NON-sun worshipper. Although we weren't in the "Adult-only area" it was amazingly quiet, which our initial booking had been for. We were not able to investigate all the amenities available, which there seemed to be a variety of. It was all round a fabulous find in Paphos and we were very happy with our choice.

Beautifully clean, amazing staff, lovely cocktails and lovely pool. The kids club is well run too. This property fell down for inedible evening buffets, and pools that were limited to only certain rooms even though I paid for a ‘royal’ room. The restaurants in walking distance were also not great. Overall not great value.

Just perfect

We got married here 10 years ago we have been back a few times and it never disappoints. It’s a beautiful hotel, excellent food, facilities and lovely staff.

It is a lovely hotel. The breakfast is wonderful, the wifi is very good. The swimming pools are too warm to be refreshing in the heat, so it was too bad that the first days of my stay the waves were too rough for swimming in the sea.

We liked how it was in keeping with the Italian style. The staff were so friendly and nothing seemed to be any trouble.

Another fantastic stay at the excellent Elysium. We do consider other hotels in Paphos but we are constantly drawn back to The Elysium!

The hotel and staff were fantastic, by far the best experience we have had in Cyprus to date.

One of the best hotel stays I have ever had. Exceptional room, clean quiet and comfortable . The staff were amazing and willing to help with any problem—there was a pillow concierge! Even with a higher occupancy the resort didn’t feel crowded. Buffet breakfast was great as were the themed evening meals. Ate at the Italian restaraunt on site—what a great room! Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend to anyone. The only problem is we have to stay somewhere else for the rest of our holiday! A tough act to follow

The architecture of the hotel is beautiful and along with the location, that is the biggest plus for this hotel. The hotel is very clean and kudos to the entire staff. Every afternoon they bring small cookies to the room complimentary. Breakfast is excellent, varied. Excellent internet throughout the resort! These are the things that the hotel justifies 5*. As for the bad experience, there are also a lot of things I have to mention. Dinner in terms of quality and quantity does not deserve a hotel like this. Very simple. Almost every day everything is the same except for three or four main dishes that change. I have been in many 5* hotels and the dinner here is at a very low level. We booked the Royal Villa with a private pool because we wanted our own pool and privacy. It's a waste of money. The villa has no privacy, the pool is not heated, it is very cold (like all other outdoor pools) and we could not swim. We stayed end of april, beginning of May.You have no privacy, because all the rooms around you, as well as other guests and staff who pass by the villa, look directly at you. The air conditioning in the villa was noisy , some noise was there non-stop, even the air condition is off, there was still the annoying noise, and I couldn't sleep.We were guests of this hotel for seven nights. I informed the staff about it four times, after the fourth time they took action, but in the end of the day they couldn't do enything.

A traditional design property, but clean and very spacious. Excellent staff, so friendly and efficient. Good food with a wide variety. We only ate at the buffet restaurant as we found that the themes changed daily so didn't feel the need to try the additional restaurant options. Staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us.

Beautiful hotel

I cannot fault this Hotel in any way. It was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The hotel overall was immaculate, and the rooms kept spotlessly clean. The meals where plentiful and of a very high standard and catered well for gluten-free. The hotel is ideally located close to the old town and harbour. A free shuttle bus does take you in but not on a return. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Paphos or even Cyprus.

Undeveloped area surrounding the hotel and very dated accommodation. Poor value for money and definitely not 5 star!

anniversary trip

went for 59th wedding anniversary meal at Bacco this hotel excels in all ways

We absolutely loved our stay with our two young daughters. The staff were wonderful, food was great and the pools and outdoor space was amazing. Sunset dips in the sea and cocktails on the terrace made for wonderful memories. Thanks so much Elysium - you are fantastic and we cannot recommend you more highly.

Fantastic property to relax with the family. Plenty of places to walk nearby as well as shopping and restaurants. I am coming back soon and won’t stay anywhere else whilst visiting Cyprus

It was a very peaceful stay

Absolutely fabulous. Exceeded all our expectations, especially the staff who were professional and attentive, but friendly and unobtrusive. Also, the food was exceptional and great value. The location was amazing also; incredible pool area which is kept spotless and yet you are right in the seafront with boardwalk stretching in both directions. Couldn’t fault it; a truly memorable stay.

Nicely maintained hotel in the quieter area of Paphos and great promenade leading to the harbour and further down to the other resorts, probably more than 10km of nice coastal walk.

Such a gorgeous hotel. Lovely place and wonderful staff. Disappointed by the spa this is basically an indoor pool and jacuzzi with steam and saunda chambers. Pool and jacuzzi are available to kids most of the day so not a relaxing retreat at all. But the treatment area was nice. Evening music is nice but gets a bit boring. Pool table is availible but not great. Fortunately, there is a strip of bars and restaurants 5 minute walk away for a more lively evening outside of the hotel if you desire. Food and drinks are expensive, but the food is probably worth it- fantastic! Cleanliness, staff service and other amenities all excellent. Overall we really like the hotel and had a wonderful stay.

This property is truly excellent. The pools and location by the sea with garden area are beautiful. Food options and quality are great with the breakfast buffet, pool bar and then quality buffet, Italian, Mediterranean and Asian restaurants in the evening. Amazing sunsets to watch in the gorgeous terrace bar (seaview room definitely worth the extra). However it is the staff that really makes it special. They are so friendly and helpful, remember your room number, preferences and couldn’t do more to help you with a smile and it is everyone from the reception, concierge, pool staff, waiters and waitresses, cleaners etc. They were amazing with my disabled mum (had a mobility room) and 6 month old baby (quality infant items in the room and help creating purée food as she was starting to wean). Will definitely be going back.

Welcoming helpful staff with excellent service all over highly recommend

Great hotel! Nice rooms, fantastic pool for the kids with toys provided and nice evening entertainment. Though it has a bit of a way to go to modernise the service. For example, to order room service, there’s no menus in the room and I couldn’t find it on the TV. I had to WhatsApp a number to find out where the QR code was on the TV, then when I found it & it finally worked on my phone, it was just a PDF menu & I had to call the room service. It’s a similar story with the QR codes next to the sun loungers, but these can’t be used to order drinks, instead it just brings up a menu and you need to either go to the bar or find a staff member. And we found it a bit odd that there were so many different people that came in to service the room throughout the day, instead of just one. May sound trite & millennial to comment on, though for the price we’d expect this customer journey to be more smooth.

Bed very comfy, pillows are a bit fat. Bath has a very high side which is difficult to get in and there are only 4 rooms available with walk in shower. Didn’t get our free wine for being a loyal customer. Very clean and lots of sunbeds. Sometimes difficult to get a seat outside in the evening for a drink .

We went a couple and a 6mo. Staff were mostly very friendly and kind. Babysitting service was unavailable apart from the creche session. Pool areas were exquisite. The bar is very professional and nice though a bit expensive. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner (as a part of the half-board) was hideous. If you plan on going - we recommend eating lunch\dinner outside. The room was not properly cleaned every day and we had bed bugs in our bed and got bitten to our bones.

Wonderful stay

The hotel is very clean, the service is great, there is 4 restaurants with variaty of food. The hotel gives water twice a day to the room, the have baby sets for every meal. You don't need to leave the hotel at all, there is everything.

A proper 5 star hotel.

We have stayed at the Elysium three times rolling back to 2007. The hotel is very well maintained and is immaculate throughout. It looks and feels brand new. The staff are hugely attentive, with the exception perhaps of the somewhat militant spa staff guarding the indoor pool. On arrival the porters couldn’t move fast enough to help with luggage. Reception has more staff than clients. It’s efficiency at it’s highest order. Around the pool your are looked after. Staff sort your sunbeds out for you (no messing around with bagging them with towels). Sunshades are delivered, as are drinks and cool towels. All the staff are superbly drilled and polite. Breakfast is a similar delight. So well run and organised. We didn’t eat in the restaurants in the evening but have before and there were a similar experience. If I was looking for a downside - the location. Whilst the hotel is off the main road the beach walk has been closed for refurbishment so you are forced to the main road to walk into town. It’s basically a drag strip. The driving is horrendous, and that’s coming from someone who likes cars and a bit of speed. Genuinely awful.

Villa was of a good standard

The property itself is excellent, top notch staff, food, facilities and service. The area around the property looks like a deserted lot on the north side with unkept sidewalk. The beach is small and not well maintained. These create some imbalance compared to property itself.

Room was top notch. Food was varied and good. I would have loved to have a deeper pool (more than 1.20m) outside but that is not a deal-breaker when the service and facilities are this good and well kept. It was my first time at any pool where an employee regularly tested the water a few times a day.

Front desk manager was unpolite, rude. Have stay more than 3.000 nights at hotels and this one is the most overprice! Will never be back and will never recommend!

One of the best hotels in Paphos

Top quality and service,a real 5* hotel.. We went for our Anniversary and they provided us with champagne, chocolates and a romatic atmosphere in our room which was a really nice gesture..

This is a truly exceptional hotel and we would definitely visit again. The service was excellent. Every member of staff made us feel very welcome, and was the perfect balance between professional and friendly. They were very considerate and paid attention to detail. The hotel is stunning both inside and out, and very well maintained. There is plenty of space for parking both above and underground. The beach and the high street are both a five minute walk. The food is wonderful with a great selection. For lunch we ate out as we did excursions most days. There are numerous restaurants in the area around the hotel, and large shopping mall just 5 mins drive.

Our first trio to Cyprus.. Amazing stay and if you eat in the fine dine restaurants or the Buffets you will not be disappointed. Staff so helpful and we will be be going back again. totally happy ...

Wedding Anniversary at the Elysium

The Staff were excellent. We were upgraded on arrival The room was superb overlooking the swimming pool and with a sea view. The hotel was immaculate in every respect.

Excellent service, clean, large and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is perfect.

Hotel crew are just awesome

The hotel is amazing, designed as an Italian fortress with plenty of amenities for both adults and kids. 15 min of walking distance to the Kings Avenue Mall. Food was so delicious, and above all is the hotel staff who were super warm, welcoming and helpful. Will return back for sure!

A restful trip. A very sumptuous stay. Very amiable staff. Hightly recommended

The only massive downside with this property is lack of Air conditioning in January. We had a very warm week and although enjoyable when you are out, not so pleasing at night without AC. Most of the nights we could not sleep till early hours of the morning. Opening the balcony wasn’t an option due to noise outside in front of the hotel. The hotel otherwise is full of very good amenities. We enjoyed sauna, jacuzzi etc very much. The spa is fabulous. We had taken half board option. Breakfast was full of huge variations so was dinner buffet. The dinner buffet menu got repeated during the week we were we went out for dinner that night. We last two days of the stay we had elysium signature menu and that was excellent. This was three course menu with soup and salads. Anyone not staying at elysium should definitely consider this dinner option, on the whole a very pleasant week but affected by poor sleep due to lack of air conditioning. I just feel when hotel says air conditioning in rooms, we need to check whether it’s on before booking.
