Great location and close to town. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Property is run down and is in urgent need of refurbishing. Otherwise, would highly recommend it.
Beautiful!
Nice location weak service
House keeping service was not good. Not enough staff.
Gorgeous and clean , walking distance to fun town
Beautiful resort in such a fun town! Clear water beaches. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view. Very kind, attentive staff.
It was amazing location sea pool foods top notch Service could be little bit quicker tho
This property is well maintained and we had a room with wonderful sea view over the Pythagoreio Beach. Good selection at the buffet breakfast and the rooms were very clean!
Amazing
Our AC didn’t work in our original room, and there was a band playing music right below our window until 11pm. After one night of not being able to sleep, they moved us to a new room in the villas. The AC didn’t work there either but at least it was quiet. Working with management staff was difficult though we got the job done in the end. Overall, would not characterize it as a pleasant stay.
Very comfortable nice hotel, the food was okay but in general it was nice.
The hotel has good curb appeal, but most guests are put in their main building which is this huge, outdated maze of a building. Our room had no temperature control. The hotel’s pool and beach are overcrowded. No open beach- just chairs to the water. No one manages it, so people set up camp on beach chairs and keep them all day. There are cigarettes all in the sand. I would not recommend.
Excellent location in between airport and ferry. Walking distance to shops and restaurants on the water.
Excellent option for a weeks holiday in Samos
Stayed here for 4 days in the end of the season. The hotel village is very well maintained and appears authentic. The staff are all great and welcoming. The buffet was above standard and reasonably priced. I can highly recommend
We chose this hotel because it had the best cancellation options in the area (we’d already had three flights cancelled due to Covid). It’s pretty expensive compared to other hotels but the price includes access to a big pool and free sun loungers on the hotel’s beach - plus a very good breakfast buffet (though sadly with very watery-tasting coffee from a machine). We had a standard hotel room in the main block; it was fine, maybe rather small. Whoever designs showers in modern hotel bathrooms must think it’s funny to exclude shower doors or suitable screens, ensuring water goes everywhere. It just makes more work for the housekeeping staff. On which note, the standard of cleaning was really excellent. In fact all the staff are very helpful and pleasant. If you just want a beach/pool holiday then you don’t need a car. The transfer from the airport is very quick. You can walk to the port of Pythagorio in a few minutes and the hotel loans bikes for free if you want to go further afield.
Large nice hotel
Hotel is large but very well appointed and in excellent position on Pythagro beach. Rooms were a bit small but well maintained. The little village in the complex adds character. Would recommend staying here.
Fantastic hotel in a great location.
Local Greek village converted into hotel accomodation. Rooms were tastefully decorated inside while the exterior was not compromised retaining the local Greek village charm. We are planning our next visit to Samos and will be definitely staying at the Doryssa. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
Doryssa
Nice hotel, family orientated next to beach, close to town just 10min walk
Nice resort next to the beach
Very nice experience . Short though. The facilities were very nice and the staff very friendly. The room was very ‘warm’ and clean . Very nice located ... close to Pythagorio , to the port and airport.
Very nice place good for families with kids excellent beach
Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach
We stayed at the Doryssa in a sea view standard room. Overall we loved our stay. The bed was comfortable and the view was amazing. Rooms are lacking some basic things you would find in other hotels like shampoo, conditioner, an iron and a kettle so be prepared for that. (We were also unable to get an iron from housekeeping due to “safety concerns” but you can send you clothes out to be pressed if you’re desperate) The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into Pythagorio town via the path or along the beautiful beach. Totally recommend the hotel.
Unreal
Beautiful in every way! Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Food was amazing!
Family-friendly hotel on the beach
Check in was easy. The room was small, but met our needs. The beach access was great and the padded loungers were super comfortable, however there was an additional charge for using them. The food was okay, but expensive. They issue beach towels every two days, so this meant everyone hung their towels over the balconies to dry. This obviously detracted from the appearance of the lodging facilities. The dining area for guests, not on the all-inclusive plan, was lovely and the breakfast buffet was good. I have been told it is the nicest lodging on the island.
Families only recommended
Very packaged moderate level all inclusive. Female staff excellent. Men need to work on Cust service. Attempts to be luxury but not.
One of two Blue Flag beaches on Samos
Overall, it's a nice hotel with great pool and beach. Although the beach beds cost 3 Euro per person per day because the hotel rents the beach from the city. I would recommend they make this cost transparent to the customer and include it in the room rate. Food was good but they appeared understaffed in the waiter area. Bonus was they upgraded our room at no charge from a garden to sea view...thanks!
A group hotel mainly for TUI travellers ....
If you like all inclusive hotels with global travel groups and you are willing to sacrifice comfort (i.e. we will not change your towels for the beach except once or maybe twice during you stay, mediocre food, and wine by the tetra pack), then it is a good enough offering as the beach and pool are nice. However if you are paying a real price I suggest you book at 2 star hotel on the island as it will be more enjoyable.
Great beachfront, but with too many people
Hotel is a family-friendly resort type, so this meant a lot of babies and kids of all ages running around, and this was a bit much for us. We hardly stayed at the hotel beachfront for this reason, but also because Samos has superb secluded beaches nearby and other parts of the island---in fact, the beaches is what merits coming back to this island. Of course, the historical aspects of Samos are purely fantastic, that merit great attention, and unfortunately, these were not highlighted by hotel.
Too many kids
Fantastic Time! The hotel was wonderful, the grounds were beautiful and staff were friendly and helpful and they were all so good with my 11 year old son. He has allergies and they were more than accommodating. We could see the pool and the ocean directly behind it,from our room. Beautiful! He was able to see Samos the way he should without his having his Yiayia or Pappous. Thank you for making our trip awesome.
Great Family Hotel on Beach.
It's nice but crowded with lots of kids. Don't recommend if you are looking for peace & quiet.
This is the best hotel on the island!
Love this hotel!!! Best hotel for families!! Lots of activities for kids and the food and service is outstanding! I am Greek American and my dad was born on this island. I go to this hotel every year and every year it is wonderful!!!
Not a 5 star hotel !
I stayed in this hotel for 7 days. The room was in the main building, it was quite large with a seaview. Room was clean but the implements and decoration was out of fashion. There were no enough plugs and the placemet of the plugs were making them useless. Again no plug in the bathroom, could not even recharge my toothbrush. In the bathroom the soapbox was placed on such a farmost point from the basin that you have to first put soap in your hand then take two full steps to turn back washing your hands. The cleaning service is ok but I have to say I never had a really clean towel during my stay. The hotel is categorizing guests as all inclusive and bed and breakfast type. The categorization is ok but it is almost like a discrimination. You cannot have your breakfast in a common place, these groups have different places to have their breakfasts and they have rigid rules for it. For the sunbeds you have to pay extra money. They provide just one towel for the beach which is made only to fit the sunbed and it is almost a governal issue they give you a stamped card for that towel you have to carry that card with you when you want a new towel they stamp and sign it again.I had to buy myself extra towels that can ben used for drying after swimming. An addition is about the minibar there is no minibar just a little empty fridge in the room, not even a bottle of water. I was dying of thirst the day I arrived then payed 3 euros for 1 litre of water
not a five star hotel. rooms very noisy,no toiletries
Couples retreat
From the very start we received a warm welcome and friendly service. Our room was lovely , fresh and clean and the view over the sea was beautiful. I visited the Spa and can recommend this also, professional and calming and fairly priced. We will definitely be back!
Comfortable room
Got an enjoyable stay and good sleep in the hotel after a week's island hopping in Greece. Nice beach. Great breakfast buffet. The one thing to consider: Its a family hotel with a lot of kids of all ages whirling around. They don't have a shuttle to the airport nearby. You can catch a regional bus but pay attention: There is no bus service on Sundays - the hotel reception missed out to tell me this! I had to take a taxi to the airport and paid Euro 6 for a ride of just about 2-3 Km!
a good hotel for summertime
we rested for 4 days in this hotel .it was a good holiday for us.
nice resort
The whole experience was good. The hotel caters for families and wock if I had one. I paid for a room with a sea view but only had a view of a brick wall. The airconditioning doesnt work well as the wind would move the magnet off the door and it would stop it automatically. (they came to fix it but it kept on happening). Staff at the breakfast are amazing, very helpful and nice can't say the same thing about the reception staff, any request was answered with an attitude. The hotel is close to pythagorio, can easily walk it and facilities are great.
Why this hotel is not a 5 star resort
We stayed in the bungalows. Architecturally very picturesque. What detracted from a 5 star hotel was the following: 1) rooms were clean; but maids would make enough noise on the floor above you to wake you up at 8:30; we had acquired excess towels from front desk/house keeping and the maids removed them; and there was broken glass on our patio when we arrived. I called the front desk. I finally got the glass removed the next day by showing it to the maids. 2) no conditioner, only shampoo. 3) The beach is full of stationary wooden umbrellas. They charge $3/day per person to sit under an umbrella. 4) Food beyond breakfast is the level of a cafeteria. 5) In my reservation I requested a ride to the airport. They told me it was a request and they would not honor it. They arranged for a cab to drive at the cost of 3 times the meter rate.
Over rated and over priced
This hotel is listed as a 5 star hotel. In our opinion it is a 2 star and way over priced. The location is excellent, right on the beach and within walking distance of a cute little town, Pythagorio. We paid for a 3rd bed in our room, and we just got a beach lounge with a sheet. The rooms were extremely small, but we did have a nice view of the Aegean. The bathroom was cramped. Breakfast was good. It was hard to ever find staff.
Minimalist in every way - unfortunately!
Well designed modern minimalist feel to the hotel. We stayed in the more upmarket village part. Rooms very simple in bungalows in an area designed to look like a village. Everything very nice but minimalist feel made it rather drab. We booked room service breakfast and they failed to turn up and take the order of the door so we had to ring for it. Service in bar slow and piano bar closed the whole time we were there despite rainy day. Bar lacked atmosphere. Reception staff were fairly indifferent. Wi Fi had to be paid for - ridiculous in such an expensive place. When it rained the outside areas flooded which meant we had to literally wade everywhere. Both restaurants a real disappointment. They were more like a canteen than a 5 star restaurant and both had the usual buffet - we went into town instead. Beach-front busy with a lot of boat traffic going into harbour so not that great for swimming. Overall a nice hotel but overpriced and I would not go back.
beautiful place
recently returned from Doryssa resort in Samos - very beautiful and peaceful. Only negative was that we had expected the bungalow to be larger than one bedroom and bathroom - our 16 year old daughter was expected to sleep on a put up bed in our double bed room, and there were no cooking facilities or tea and coffee making facilities etc. We had thought we were paying more than the basic hotel room to have the bungalow and had assumed we would have more living space than basically just a bedroom.
Luxury at a bargain price
A luxury hotel with a great beach and pools. Location is within walking distance of a charming harbor town. Contemporary, large rooms and bathrooms and furnishings. The quality of the room (sea view) and hotel exceeded my expectations.
Everything was all right
best hotel in samos
Stayed at one of the beach rooms at the village part for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! very clean and comfortable room&bed. hotel is amazing even to just walk around. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. beach is clean and water is perfect. totally recommend frozen margaritas at the beach bar, they were delicious. I’d like to stay longer next time
Great hotel, located very Close to town
Size her türlü konuda yardımcı oluyorlar. Oteli tercih için kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
Made like a small Greek village.
Her sey cok guzeldi. Sakin kaliteli bir otel. Aksamları canlı muzık oluyor. Temizlik konfor yemek kalitesi ve hizmet cok guzel. Benek hanım ilk girişte cok yardımcı oldu. Pytagrion’a yurume mesafesınde keyifli kucuk bir yerlesım yeri.. Sadece güzel ve uzun bir iskele gerekli otele. Araç kiralama konusunda sıkıntı yaşadık daha çok secenek gerekli. Tesekkurler
a nice place for the family, very child friendly

The food was very good, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. The rooms were too small, unattractive, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The tub showers were accessed by walls which were too high for safe entry.
