This property is absolutely gorgeous. It will take your breath away. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I would give this property 10 Stars. Extraordinary!
Loved the rooms and the property overall. Very tranquil.
Beautiful
Children at pool area loud and unruly… running and diving. Would be nice to have a Adult quite pool
Horrible check in experience a very rude front desk staff member - once that was completed stay was very good
Fabulous resort experience
My recent resort experience was truly exceptional. Everything, from the ambiance to the room, restaurant, and service, was perfect. We certainly plan to return.
So relaxing
Seriously the most relaxing resort I have ever stayed in. Loved everything about it. The room, the wooden paths through the rainforest to the beach, the pool where you can sit and stare at the view. I will be back. Only stayed overnight this time. Next time it will be longer.
We had a lovely stay enjoyed the pool
The check-in was 'painfully slow' and the instruction as to where we could park our car and indeed how to find our accomodation was unclear, it taking 15+ minutes to find our way. It was only when a staff member came down the board walk in a buggy delivering another guest to an adjacent room were we able to find where to park our car and walk from there to our room.. The polished stainless steel floor in the shower recess is extremely dangerous, with one of us almost having a fall on the soapy slippery floor. Otherwise the facility was very pleasant and well maintained. The architural features were very interesting but at times impractical. An interesting experience but would not stay here again - prefer a more traditional holiday resort.
One of the best resorts
Beautiful surroundings and whisper quiet
Nice place
Crystalbrook is a delight. I wanted three nights in a place where I could be comfortable doing nothing. Nothing meaning I could leave my wife shopping in Bryon and I could sauna, swim, dine, relax, write, draw… all in the tranquil facilities of this hotel. I chose Crystalbrook two months before our stay that if it was fine weather then great, but if raining (and it poured the whole time we were here) I would still feel like I’ve had the best time. I said to the staff on my way out, this was the fulfilment of a holiday about nothing. If I wanted something I could have found it but I chose nothing and it found me.
Awesome place
Great property overall!
Love it - such a beautiful relaxing property
We loved our stay at Crystalbrook Byron. Always such a lovely getaway. Lovely vibe, great amenities and friendly staff. We look forward to staying again
Calm, clean and a stylish stay in a rainforest
We really like to stay it’s beautiful rainforest quiet relaxing place highly recommended
Perfect rooms and relaxing environment
Attractive property, good onsite facilities
We recently stayed here for two nights for our wedding anniversary. The resort grounds were absolutely beautiful, a large foyer at the entrance and board walk tracks through the rainforest. Our room was very spacious and included a bath tub, veranda, kitchenette, dining table and lounge room. A short drive from the Byron town centre, we had a car with us which was definitely needed. We have previously stayed at other Crystalbrook hotels and weren’t quite as impressed with the condition and cleanliness of Crystalbrook Byron. The couches were very stained and rooms felt a bit older than we expected from the photos. Pool was large and not too crowded, however very deep so only really suitable for laps rather than relaxing. Poolside bar was closed our entire stay so we ordered drinks at the indoor bar instead. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and hope to come back one day.
Good but not for everyone
Nice hotel. Staff were maybe slightly unfriendly. Big resort spread out so room is a good 5-7 minute walk from pool / restaurant / reception. Not for everyone. Also about a 10 minute walk to beach. Lovely restaurant. Pool average.
A wonderful resort in a great location. Excellent location facilities and surrounded by a beautiful forest. Service is good but could be improved a little. Nothing major though. Highly recommend.
A beautiful haven. Will definitely be back. My only concern was that the room smelt musty and the air conditioner blew out musty air, and as someone with black mould in my lungs this was of significant concern, but it thankfully didn't seem to affect me negatively.
Mixed feelings
Very impressed with the room and facilities. Although I was very disappointed that at the front desk they state that late checkout is available for extra $, but when I requested this, they said I cannot have late checkout as ‘they are fully booked’; I found that hard to believe, as I had a Sunday checkout (very rare for people to check in on a Sunday, and upon checking availability of the room on their website for that day, they were not fully booked out at all? Food variety is extremely limited & expensive, even less variety for their room service menu; literally only burgers, chips and calamari that costs $30?!
Great place.
When you walk into the beautifully appointment cottage, the little extras that were provided made the stay even more pleasant. Had a meal at Leo’s, which was amazing. The decor, staff and food could not be faulted. Delicious brekkie with real coffee included in the stay. Could not fault this property, facilities or staff. Will be back one day.
Relaxing and friendly stay
Very friendly service from all staff, from reception to the restaurant and even the gardening team. The setting is wonderful and feels secluded, and still only a short drive from town. We enjoyed the walking paths that go through the wetlands on the property, and being able to access the beach with just a short walk.
Almost perfect
Beautiful tranquil setting, really well maintained, lovely relaxed vibe.
Fabulous exceeded expectations. Can’t wait to go back .
Loved the quiet peaceful rainforest environment. Staff was friendly and helpful.
This resort is incredible, and the photos don’t do it justice. Gorgeous boardwalks through rainforest to your rooms with an easy, beautiful walk to a stunning, sparsely populated beachfront. The pool and restaurant are great too.
Amazing!! Beautiful nature indulgence.
Great hotel, amazing friendly staff, lovely cuisine and wine list. Have stayed a numbers of times previously and will again.
Stunning
Love this hotel - lovely ambience and service.
Beautiful place, wonderful service and amazing food
Great resort in a magnificent rainforest setting Staff were amazing even remembered it was our anniversary and birthdays in the time we stayed Room was excellent although it should be for the price paid Only improvement could be to change the dinner menu every couple of days as it becomes quite repetitive Five stars!!
Mixed reaction to new ownership.
This property is now overpriced for what is offered. It was much better under previous ownership. Now understaffed and can you believe short sheeting at this price. Pool still beautiful and palm forest always a delight. Byron is now so busy too.
Absolutely beautiful location, grounds were magical and beautiful maintained. Reception and pool bar staff were amazing.
Tranquil Retreat
Great beautiful setting, rooms were excellent. Loved it
Lovely, relaxing resort in tranquil surroundings. Loved lounging by the pool and walking to the beach.
The hotel was fine but a couple of things were quite disturbing. On the eve of Christmas the staff member just entered the room to keep the cookies without knocking and didn’t even apologise after seeing us in the room. The second thing which was so unprofessional was they charged us $85 for a yoga mat which they “thought” was missing but it was in the cupboard, and instead of calling us to check, they just decided to charge us for it. I had to call the hotel and follow up to get my refund after a few days. I paid almost $700 per night and small things like these make a difference in the experience.
Fabulous combination of incredible service and great property and accommodations.
Living in a rainforest was amazing. The boardwalks throughout the property offer a chance to get back to nature. The rooms were luxurious and very comfortable. Food at the restaurant is great quality too. Love this resort and will be back!
Beautiful property. Amazing spacious rooms. Great service.. lovely location.. highly recommended
Loved that it was set in a rainforest. the pool area was great very comfortable accommodation a unique space
Cleaning should be improved
Second time with Crystalbrook hotels. Both trips I was angry about cleaning. No complementary waters at arriving. No hand shop but two body creams. They really need to improve with cleaning. When cleaning was done , garbage was on the floor and even on a table. Well I’m not sure whether it’s really 5 stars.
Luxury in nature
Such a pleasant experience, a really relaxing energy surrounded by nature. Great design of rooms and the grounds. Also loved the little extras like having free sunscreen at the pool, and offering little frozen mocktails while sitting by the pool and great quality soaps and body lotion. Loved our stay here really great to also be away from the business of Byron centre.
My fourth stay here was as wonderful as ever. The surroundings are beautiful, and falling asleep with rainforest sounds and a soft breeze every night is incredible. The staff are warm and professional, the spa is a relaxing haven with skilled therapists, and you’ll have a hard time dragging yourself away from the soft chairs around the bar and pool!
A relaxing resort holiday
From being greeted at the door by the friendly staff we were impressed. The entire resort has everything you would want for a relaxing holiday for families and friends - everyone is catered for! We loved the included morning yoga sessions, free shuttle bus into town and we had a brilliant meal at the restaurant on our final evening. The pool area had a relaxed social vibe with a fabulous entertainer all Sunday afternoon which added to the relaxed atmosphere. We loved our stay and had an incredibly relaxing weekend.
Property is beautiful and a short uber ride into the main part of town - just 7 minutes.
Amazing rainforest setting. Lovely onsite restaurant. Relaxing pool area.
Architect designed apartment with close attention to detail. Really lovely spaces in the apartment and public buildings.
Fantastic peaceful location and the staff were brilliant. Highly recommend
Excellent service, great location and the perfect setting for a couples romantic getaway
Amazing rainforest setting. Very relaxing and fantastic day spa.
How quiet and tranquil it was. Loved walking the boardwalks around the resort and through the rainforest.
Nestled in a light filled rainforest close to the beach and in luxurious style units this is a relaxing place with excellent spa and restaurants
Well appointed, close to beach, quiet and staff great
Really friendly staff. Even though we were there for one night it was really queit and relaxing. We ate at the restaurant and it was great food. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.
Set in a unique spot close to Tallows beach and it also has a heated pool
Wonderful!
Loved this hotel! We had a wonderful family holiday here (3 generations). Stunning location, outstanding service - perfect in every respect!
Just superb
From the moment you arrive at this magnificent resort, you feel relaxed. The setting is divine in a rainforest with private access to Tallow Beach. The staff is so lovely and professional, the breakfast delicious and healthy too, the rooms spacious and quiet...I could go on. Leaving this place was very difficult.
We celebrated a wedding anniversary here and two nights was not long enough! Room setting was tranquil, beach was outside the back gate and the restaurant menu tempted us back again on our second night.
Very quiet and peaceful. Was able to relax and feel like we were alone
Rainforest happiness at The Byron.
Great spot for a quiet birthday getaway. literally nestled amongst the everglades and nature, with a quiet beach a good 15 min walk through the rainforest. bird and frog watchers are in their element. Nice beach walk to Broken Head about 2 hours return. Comparatively spacious rooms. Friendly helpful reception and housekeeping staff. morning yoga was well appreciated. All we needed was a few more days.
Wonderful Relaxing Resort
The room was very nice, and the proximity to the beach and rain forest was perfect. The food was excellent with several gluten free options. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool and spa looked very nice, although we did not use them. The shuttle into town is a nice touch. Overall, an excellent experience
Loved The Byron at Bryron. It was a great base to explore the area.
It was a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I loved the morning yoga especially the instructor Stephanie. There are beautiful walks and the beach was amazing watching the sunrise. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Only problem we had was the key card wouldn’t work for the front door kept having to get it replaced. But seems like out of our group of 3 couples we were the only ones with that problem.. We would definitely go back!
Amazing.
Everything from check-in, to the pool, to the dinner and cocktails and the recommendations from all the staff were spot on. The massage in the rainforest was also one of the best experiences I have had.
Staff are exceptional and we have loved staying here. Food is amazing. Will definitely stay here again.
Outstanding stay!!
Fantastic stay! Hated to leave. Big resort build in the middle of the jangle, with beach access and lake on their territory. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept, nice interior and exterior design. Definitely one in my “must return” list!
Nice place for a few days on Byron.
Nice hotel with an amazing beach nearby. Nice pool area, food in the restaurant is okay but nothing special. Friendly staff and overall a nice place to stay.
Very nice property. Well set up for our family. I found it a little over priced for the level of service. Service at the pool & restaurant was good, but not excellent. Overall an excellent place to stay at Byron. We will be back.
Amazing resort, wonderful staff. A fantastic place to just relax.
Friendly staff, excellent service, great location.
I like being within walking distance to the beach.
Easy stay
I was staying to care for an injured family member. The premises were very easy to facilitate care for a person with mobility problems due to an injury and most staff very friendly and accommodating. The resort is aesthetically very pretty and lush with s feeling of being in a tropical oasis. Quiet and very relaxing feel with a good restaurant and lovely pool area. Would go again :) next time to really relax!
The bushland reserve surrounding this resort was the best part, keeping the resort peaceful and private as well as protecting the natural habitat. The bed was fabulously comfortable and the apartment well ventilated for breezes. The beach a short stroll away. Very suitable for couples with no kids. Great restaurant too.
Great vibe, away from the bustle of the town. Great food, clean accommodation, wonderful walks and beach access. We found the bike hire available at the hotel (which is a separate company) very expensive!! The staff were very attentive but not intrusive, would definitely go back to The Byron :-)
Beautifully set into a private rainforest, the Byron at Byron Resort is truly stunning! The staff diid anything they could to make it a special experience for my partner and I. Highly recommend!
Beautiful surroundings and so relaxing. Thank you!! We will be back for sure.
The Byron at Byron sits like a jewel among lush tropical gardens, with staff attentive to your every need. Our suite was a notch above standard and was equipped with all the essentials however the main issue was a lack of connectivity – with no mobile phone signal to be had from our accommodation. Food however was superb, boasting a lavish choice of starters and main courses all using local produce – complimented by a thorough wine list and cocktail menu. 5 stars for the chef! (though apparently his duck was overcooked). This trip was a special celebration for my wife so I booked her in (and myself) for a relaxing massage at the hotel spa facility. Unfortunately our experiences were less than relaxing – my massage being very aggressive, and my wife's massage not relaxing enough! So just make sure who you are getting when you make the booking. In spite of the above negative observations, this was our second visit to Byron at Byron and we will go back for sure. The staff are amazing and they take pride in the service they provide. They are polite, helpful and sociable.
Luxurious stay in a tropical oasis
Loved everything about this hotel, rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Food was delicious, amenities everything you need and the grounds were just amazing. Left feeling very relaxed and can’t wait to come back.
Great hotel and rooms are lovely however if you are staying for more than a few days the laundry Facilities in the room were not quite adequate. It was difficult to get clothes dry but apart from that it was a great place to stay
A superb place to stay!!
The magic began with the welcome and carried on and on, we didn't want to leave!! The location, room, pool and above all the staff were all fantastic!! We would love to go back!
It was a great stay with good attention from the staff. Loved the room but we were cold on the first night with no knowledge of where the extra blankets were. The girls helped us the next morning by making up the beds with an extra blanket each and placement of heaters in bathroom and lounge. Thank you soo much .
Great relaxing hotel
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel, will be back again.
5 stars. Heated pool, good food. Although breakfast was pretty expensive $39 for an average buffet is too much.
Absolutely beautiful setting and very comfortable rooms, perfect for an adult getaway in the deluxe spa suites. Loved having access to the beach and just far enough away from town for a relaxing walk or to hire bikes to ride into town. Restaurant food was amazing, room service was second to none and the quiet was bliss.
Peaceful n relaxing, close to the beach, friendly staff
Great Resort
Great location and a beautiful resort, especially the pool and dining area
Luxurious Relaxing Resort
Very well designed rooms. Well insulated yet close to nature. Enjoyed the relaxing stay with plenty of facilities. Close to beach. Great service and we felt very welcome. No requests were too difficult for the crew. We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary here and it was a very romantic getaway. Congratulatory note and complimentary bottle of bubbly was very welcome. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds with a nice big bath tub and walk in wardrobe. All in all stay at this property is THE highlight of our 2 week vacation spanning 9 different properties.
Mother Daughter Spa Stay
My two daughters and I had a mini getaway at The Byron at Byron. A midwinter break from the usual routine to catch up and connect. It was even better than I expected. I was looking at a health retreat but this was better value. The Spa is excellent with amazing massages and facilities. Yoga every morning at 8 am and our own kitchen to prepare food the way we like it. We ate at the restaurant as well, very good. Large rooms, cozy in winter surrounded by nature. Very private with the sound of the surf as you drift off to sleep. Would stay longer next time to use the pool, sauna, tennis court and beach.
Paradise in Byron Bay
Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to go back!
Great location
Located out of the busy Byron Bay town, amongst rainforest with a magnificent beach at your back door. Really nice rooms and good restaurant. Pool area great.
Outstanding!!!!
Close enough to everything! Clean Outstanding service Heated pool perfect for a swim even iat 15degree Great breakfast and coffee Most important QUEIT so you can relax
Top of the line. First class all the way.
Crystalbrook Byron | Home in Suffolk Park | Travala.com
Everything was great, especially the service on the front desk. The only letdown was the restaurant, the food was average and there wasn't much to choose from on the menu.
