Cozy getaway with fantastic views of the lake!

Fantastic views of the lake and stellar service. Accommodations were comfortable. The mini split heating unit in the bedroom made the room warm within minutes. There are lots of amenities on the property to enjoy in Spring and Summer.

The location is on a busy road with limited access to the beach. We were wakened by scratching noises of rodents in the walls in the early morning. Also, when water was used in other parts of the building it created a gurgling drip drip drip noise in the wash basin right next to the bed. Also, the extra blanket we found (because it was cold) had unpleasant soiled spots suggesting it had not been cleaned. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great out of the way place to stay when visiting Cooperstown. Staff/owners very friendly and accommodating. Room very larger and nice in historic p;d building. Highly recommended.

The Cobblescote has a wonderful manager, Guenavive, a lovely porch and view. The only opportunity was to update the bedding and mattresses, they were hard and very old. New pillows and comforter with a simple foam mattress insert would have made the sleeping much better and complete a wonderful stay.

We liked everything! Setting is gorgeous. Very good one choice breakfast. Basic but delicious. Deck is wonderful. 180 degree view of the lake. Expect to climb stairs to most rooms. Our room had a separate area for our grandson to sleep. Perfect . Definitely recommend.

The location is beautiful. The view of the lake is spectacular. The place is well maintained and the staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming.

Our cabin at Cobblescote was beautiful and the view of the lake was amazing . The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful and her breakfast in the main house the next morning was delicious. We will definitely be back .

Breakfast was delicious.

Far too many stairs, definitely not accessible for anyone with walking issues. The room was dark, limited lighting. There was only a kitchen chair in the room, besides the bed. No place to sit comfortably in the evening when it’s raining and cool outside. The lake views were great, but the lake is not very accessible due to significant elevation and stairs.

This was such a beautiful, comfy welcoming stay! It’s not just a place to sleep it’s an experience!!!! Breakfast was great and Genavive was so welcoming and caring! We learned a lot about the history of this sweet place and appreciate hearing all about it! Highly recommend!!!!

The owner was very welcoming. The room and service was excellent. Clean and everything was easy accessible.

No toiletries, except Palmolive soap. Stock more ice in frig.

Cooperstown

Great location by the water. Weather was perfect. Easy to get into town to do all the activates in Cooperstown. Nice weekend get away to a quaint town.

Excellent service and friendliness. 2 negatives steep hill pulling in and had to park a ways away . And no elevator had to lug our suitcase up a flight of stairs.

Absolutely loved the staff, the breakfasts were different each day and fresh, made as we were sitting down. The room was dark which was strange for us but at night, it gets so dark and we rested really well, so I see the point. The yard is very comfy, they have paddles, lifejackets and canoes and kayak for free!!! My husband and daughters had a great time in the lake. Other boaters would slow down so they didn't create wakes. Thays how the people are in Cooperstown, very friendly, accomodating and cordial. We loved it and plan to go back. Just the view from the dining room in the morning makes it worth it.

We had a great time staying at Cobblescote. It’s a very family friendly cabin/inn. My wife, and two sons (4yrs old and 3 months old) stayed in the middle of the week at the end of September. We were the only ones on our first night and one of two groups our second night. Cheryl made our complimentary breakfast each day. She was very hospitable and great company. I could see us returning for a few days in the summer to really take advantage of the lake, activities, etc.

The staff was very friendly. The property had a beautiful view with indoor and outdoor tables.

The water view was amazing! We loved our stay at Cobblescote! Mary and Genevieve were so personable and helpful. We loved our conversations with them especially about the history of the place. We enjoyed our hot breakfast with an awesome view of Otsego lake.

The hosts are warm, attentive with great attention to detail. Everything was fantastic.

Cobblescote on the Lake is a real gem. The staff is fantastic and the property is beautiful. A quick car ride from Cooperstown and its main attractions.

It is what it it is. No amenities like a more traditional hotel (think coffee pot) and the staff was MIA when we arrived. It’s more like staying in someone’s guest bedroom than a hotel, but nice enough for an overnight stay along the way.

Very nice visit

Very clean and took all safety measures for the coronavirus virus. Lake is beautiful and our cabin had a great view. The staff was great. My only complaint would be the breakfast. There could of been more choices and the food was only ok

Quaint Bed and Breakfast nestle up on the hill.

Quaint bed and breakfast nestle in the woods on the west side of Lake Otsego. Rooms were simple and very clean which was very comforting especially during covid. Owner, Genevieve and her mom were wonderful. Breakfast in the inn under the open air patio with lovely wood motefe. Very contry-esque but everything was clean and breakfast was delicious. Our room was simple, spacious and clean. Patio was lovely to catch the morning sun rise over the beautiful Lake Otsego and sit out under the stars at night. (we stayed in the deck suite). If i have one small complaint is that the beds need new mattresses. While they were clean, they were a bit old and worn. Overall a very lovely place to stay if you want simple, peace and quiet and just enjoy the beautiful outdoors of the Surroundings woods and Beautiful Lake.

Cobblescote on the Lake was the perfect weekend getaway. The location was beautiful and the staff was friendly. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable. I highly recommend it!

This place is very peaceful with breath taking views. Very impressed with the cleaniness. My family stayed in the garden suite very spacious with a perfect view of the lake. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this place. You get a nice breakfast served to you in the morning. The only thing is you have to drive about 4 miles to restaurants to get your lunch and dinner because they are no stores around and no place will deliver anything to that location. My family bought food from a place called Mels which was really good and another night we made food in the oven and sat outside on the deck of the property and ate it both nights which was very pleasant. Oh yeah we also visited the famers museum and the baseball hall of fame. Both were great.

We had a lovely stay and highly recommend Cobblescote on the Lake. The atmosphere is relaxed, it is clean and comfortable. We spent time on the porch, riding bikes to Cooperstown and appreciated the easy access to the lake with the provided kayaks. The staff is kind and attentive.

Visiting Cooperstown

Your visit was late October, a wrap up to the season. Cobblescote ffer a quite and restful environment. Your room was comfortable , with a comfortable bed. The morning breakfasts were individually prepared and tasty. Your host and property owner Pete was pleasant and very knowledgeable of the area. If back in area, will visit again

Staff went above and beyond in taking care of an issue

Worth the stay

We went for 3 days primarily to go to the Hall of Fame (for one of us) and to tour around. Unfortunate we did not have the best weather. But we had a great time. This place is warm and welcoming, service oriented and the food was good. They went out of their way to help us and to get our bags up to our room. A quaint place, very quiet and the rooms are nice. We placed cards at night in the dining area so we would turn on lights and the heater, but always turned everything off when we left. We had a refrigerator that we all shared. The town was terrific with lots of great restaurants. We really liked the Apple Cider Mill and the Farmer’s Museum. Excellent.

Can use some sprucing up reat breakf

Huntley Cabin was a fun, rustic place to stay. Breakfast on the deck was fantastic.

The Cobblestone on the Lake is a located in the most picturesque location and so close to Cooperstown. Our deck suite was cosy and had a private deck and windows facing the lake. Because it’s it high on the hill road notices were minimal. Breakfast was simply yummy! The staff were friendly and filled us in on the history which dates back to early 1900s.

My husband and I enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Cobblescote on the Lake. The accommodations were not only lovely but immaculate and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful and the view of the lake is absolutely breathtaking! A wonderful place for rest and relaxation! We will definitely be visiting with them again.

After a somewhat shaky late check-in, I was delighted with my two night stay on HOF Induction Weekend. The proprietor is very pleasant and the Angler Cottage is charming. I highly recommend it!

Genevieve was so kind and gracious. Remembered our names and asked about our day. Had coffee ready every morning!

This is a beautiful property right across from the lake. Our cabin had been recently updated and decorated in a very country way. The owner are so friendly and helpful. The have an area across the street to dock your boat, relax under the shade of a big tree and swim in the lake

very clean room, beautiful view, friendly staff, would come back

The inn was lovely, quiet, comfortable and convenient. Breakfast was delicious. The only small suggestion I would have is to try and get rid of the sulphur smell in the water. It is quite strong.

Property was supposed to include a fire pit, but when we asked to use it were told it was not available. We were unable to sit on patio and enjoy lake view because it was so cold outside.

More like a B&B, which was to our liking. Rooms a bit small but very comfortable. Views & surrounding area were just great. We would definitely go there again.

Hall of Fame trip

Went to the Baseball HOF with my son and grandson so we needed a bit more space. It was just about perfect for our needs. Nice deck outside the room with a stunning view of the lake. Guessing we will. E back with the rest of the Fam.

We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. It is a wonderful property that has a direct view of the lake. The porch is also amazing to just hang out one with many games to play. We also really enjoyed the staff and service while we were there. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Absolutely loved this place. The owners were all so nice and friendly. The setting was beautiful, and we loved sitting on the porch eating breakfast. We used their kayaks one afternoon on the beautiful lake, which was awesome! Thank you for making our stay so nice!
