Amazing experience. Wonderful staff.
Excellent property for a family outing, best part is the free access to village with tons of activities to do for kid. Highly recommend for any tourist
The property is vast and mostly well maintained. It gives a nice different vibe. However, once that gets set on you, there isn't much to do. Kids play area is poorly maintained. It smelled of seepage. Swimming pool is not very well maintained, specially the changing room and the shower area. It's just enough for some water splash time with family. Couldn't find any games facilities. Then you come to village area which has free entry. However, if you want to have dinner in the village area then that costs you Rs. 900 per adult and Rs. 400 something for kids above 5. This amount is same what you would anyhow pay if you are not staying at the resort. So no benefit here. Village area is nice. So many activities to engage into that you'll feel scarcity of time. One negative point however is - everywhere you go, people would expect tip from you. At one point it becomes very overwhelming. It would be like anyone you meet your eyes is asking for tip.
Overall, I had a great experience at the property. However, I must mention that I was slightly disappointed with the staff and service during dinner time. Despite our reservation, we were asked to wait until 11 pm for dinner, which was inconvenient. I believe that guests staying at the resort should be given priority for dinner at Chokhi Dhani, as it's one of the benefits of staying on-site. Nonetheless, after some discussion, they accommodated our request. Despite this issue, I still enjoyed my stay and appreciated the overall experience.
Amazing property ever I lived in. It’s a beautiful safe to stay property. The decora of the property premises in just amazing. The service is amazing very fast service. Foods are little expensive for sure. But other than very warm welcoming. Amazingly polite . Fantastic staffs. Yes little far from pink city but I don’t mind because anyways I rented a car for 8 hrs to do my sight seeing. All I can say I enjoyed my stay so much with lovely memories .
Good safe and Quiet.
The service at the restaurant wasn't upto the mark, they had a menu for hi-tea but when we reached the restaurant there was no preparation there. We waited almost 45 minutes after the order for a cup of tea.
Very friendly and helpful staff, but it rather noisy at night.
Great property
Loved the view, staff was very supportive, wifi is not working (can be avoided), the aroma, village access, the food quality - all is just perfect.
Beautiful place to stay, loved it
I would definitely recommend this property. Such a great ambience, great hospitality, food, cleanliness, layout everything is perfect. I would come back to this resort again for my next stay in Jaipur.
A village resort
We got upgraded to a suite, the rooms were very comfortable and beautiful, the only improvement should be more lights - I guess it goes with the village theme. The food was good and we loved the experience of rajasthan village. A must stay!
Amazing place. We enjoyed our stay!
This place is like a village. It has so much greenery there. Its like a full Rajasthani experience. Honestly however they r taking care of the big property & hospitality as the same time is amazing. Definitely recommend. Love to go there again
Very authentic and cultural exhibition throughout the property.
Toilet was very condition stinky and smelly they changed our room after two days than without letting us know they charge double the price because room was smelly and toilet was in poor condition which they agreed., now they said we upgrade the room unbelievable
An excellent option for those with limited time and a curiosity for culture. This property provides visitors with the ability to observe dancing, arts, cultural practice, delicious food and excellent no pressure shopping in the Village. The resort rooms are comfortable and reflect a traditional Rajasthani village and the food is delicious. The property is frequented by larger groups and families, so can get a be noisy at times. Request a room far from the Village if you prefer a quieter experience.
Poor experience
It’s wasn’t great starting from check in to checkout. Rude front office manager, no hot water, mosquitoes, overcharging for food that we didn’t ask and refused several times and the checkout says if you took even one single bite, you will be charged. Will not recommend
Staff not professional
Check out is not smooth.. Called me 3 times from parking to tell 1 or 2 biscuit packets need to charge.. They should have check properly once and tell on first time itself.
It is very family and child family property. Evening festival is great and food is awesome.
a charming ethnic resort. Traditional meal is very tasty and presented well Cottages well appointed and maintained Staff super friendly Only complaint is it was hard to talk to Someone live to reconfirm short-fuse reservation
Like no where else I've been. It has a traditional Rajasthani carnival attached next door so would be great if you had kids along. The staff were so lovely and accomodating.
Wonderful
Was wonderful stay
Beautiful authentic India experience
Beautiful place. Very authentic and wonderful setup! Will come again.
We had pre-paid booking with extended checkout (2pm). at hotel on the day of checkout; we were told that it is not respected and have to checkout at noon. for our group with 3 children, 2 senior citizen this was a huge inconvenience.
Greedy, obnoxious, unreasonable management!
It's a beautiful property with a great ethnic village feel. Although, the management is the worst I've seen. We'd booked the property with just 2 adults because 2 adults + 2 children was showing no availability, but I knew from previous stay that they offer the king room to 2 adults + 2 children without issue. Anyway, they wanted to charge us for Rs 2000 + taxes extra for each child per night even though there was no charge for 1 additional child online. We tried to reason with management about being ok with paying for 1 additional child but that it wasn't right to make us pay for the 2 children because on hotels.com, there was no difference in price between 2 adults vs 2 adults + 1 child. Punit Sachala was absolutely obnoxious to talk to, he straight up just told that we booked through hotels.com and they don't work with them. Absolutely horrible experience! Will not be returning to this property because of the greedy management. Also, why show no availability for 2 adults + 2 children when obviously they have availability, what a scam!
Likes: Stayed in hotel Nov15-17, 2018 from USA. It is nicely and beautifully presented with Rajasthan Culture. Resort was very lively. Good shopping. Dislikes: Hotel accommodation not comfortable. Windows have holes that lead Mosquitoes. TV’s don’t work, showers don’t work. My room was upgraded to worst rooms. Dusty outside. Food is so hot that one can not eat. Management does not care about customers. All they said was write to our office and they can not do anything after 30 min arguments and requests. No way to go back.
Great Place to stay
It was overall a great experience however there are 2 things I would like to add. 1) If they can, they should set the check-In time to 1:00-2:00 pm Instead of 3:00 pm since it gets really difficult to explore both the resort and the village in the time provided. 2) There should be a curtain provided to separate the area between the bedroom and the small area right outside the washroom as otherwise there is no other place to change clothes with multiple people in the room. Rest everything was really amazing to be very honest.
Fun ethnic theme park
Nice ethnic theme. Accommodations were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the entertainment in the village was fun in the evening. Location is outside of town and the local area has nothing to offer besides the attractions of the resort itself.
Excellent Traditional Experience
Great way to ease into the traditions of India. The village is like a carnival, where once you enter there are all kinds of vendors, carnival games, elephant rides, camel rides, etc, but most seemed to cost extra. For food, if you like Indian Food you are set, if not at least you will have a very good omelette for breakfast.
Nice hotel with a traditional touch.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Live music, village fair and beautiful traditional settings makes you feel out of the world.
Nice property, poor reception desk
Property must be a hard work of many many years of founders but sometimes when same passion is not shared by team it becomes a disaster I had a bad experience with reception staff 1) they don't have any cancellation policy at all and they don't know how to say this politely over phone 2) even if you don't order extra bedding for your 6-7 year old child they will charge you 2000 plus taxes extra per night , whereas while booking on Expedia I clearly mention we are along with our child anyways I didn't argued and paid 3) it was told to me at reception during entry about 15% discount on spa but they charge full amount after realising they made the bill of full amount and I had paid they change thier statement that you need to show Expedia spa vouchers , I know they were covering up so I just left with full payment done 4) my friend ordered a cake for us from delhi and she told how terrible reception was to understand and cooperate when she was ready to pay Anyways hats off to the founders It's a beautiful property with inside staff with lot of etiquette Buffet was mind blowing Village is also too big with loads of activities Thumbs up to the directors and thumbs down to the reception desk including lady and gents
It was great experiencing village life. It was fun putting a big lock on the door.
Rajasthani village luxury
Choki Dhani was very comfortable. The whole resort is decorated as a rajasthani village - both inside the villa and the entire hotel campus. Service was great and so was the food. Adjoining the hotel is a lovely mock village complete with shows, activities and handicrafts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nice hotel to stay in non peak months . The disappointing thing about the hotel was mandatory new year dinner which was not organised well and the fights amongstthe guests spoiled the evening more
The Real India
If u want to understand the culture of Rajasthan all u need to do is book a stay at the resort and go for a once in a life journey which u will never forget .
Clean and unique hotel
Check in process took a bit long, but other than that it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and polite. The restaurant staff were were very friendly and always made sure we enough to eat. The hotel is a unique concept with traditional exterior and modern interiors. The interconnected path to the village was great and a fun experience.
Good conference venue
48 degree C heat in early June, but accommodation very comfortable in village-style huts in village layout. Rooms dark, but necessary to avoid heat.
So so
Disappointed with the food outside of the Rajasthani village. The five star restaurants at bindola and aaragosa were okay, nothing great. The hotel asks you not to encourage tips at the market, but yet, everyone who worked their took their hand out asking for money...it ruined the experience.
Very good. I needed some medicines I bought easily
Just wonderful, unique and exquisite. Comfortable room, very good staff and very nice ambience.
A Theme Park... desi-style
You are visiting Off-season ...and want glimpse of Rajasthan ...with only handful of vacation days at hand ...while Palace-On-Wheels is WAY-TOO-COSTLY! ---what do you do??? Well... we chose Chokhi-Dhani!!! Ever heard of theme parks & resorts (Disney-land, Six-flags etc.)?. Well here's a resort completely desi-style based on Rajasthan and it's folk artistry. As expected, this was a custom built village zone where rooms stood in the form of cottages...pure traditional style :) (exterior-only). Inside of the room is your normal 3-5 star room with A/c, double-bed, closets & toilet. Not to mention, the interior (i.e. walls & ceiling) follow the same art-work & design to that of a cottage from inside, so you might as well see a window or two with a wooden-bolt to an air-tight room ;) Coming back to the resort theme, the exterior of each room including the crafting of walkways and surrounding of the residential area is mesmerizing. It gives you the feel of living in a traditional Rajasthani village as promised :) While there are affluent eating choices, you can find quite a few options at a reasonable cost within the hotel premises considering this place to be somewhat isolated from hustle-bustle of the city.
CHOKHI DANI RESORT
Hotel atypique et bien entretenu
Unprofessionelles Team
In Summe 15000 Rupien.
