The interior of the cabin was clean, however, the exterior screened-in porch was visibly damaged. From the photos online, we thought the location was more secluded but it was located near an industrial park and backed up to the main road/property entrance. There was some visible water damage inside the accommodation and the lock on the door seemed precarious since the door frame was thin and cracked. The HVAC was also really loud and the hot water only lasted about 15 min. Check in was easy because the clerk obviously wanted to leave early (we arrived just after 3pm). No checkout instructions were provided.
The cabin was pretty good. Some of the carpets looked quite old though
Black Canyon
This is a super cute cabin near Black Canyon . Staff is wonderful and made sure we were happy
Tiny House was perfect for my stay!
Perfect little spot! Couldn’t have been happier!
Cute 1 night stay
The location was nice and next to eiver which was lovely. Rhere is a community bathroom which was tougher to get into at high usuage times because it also has a shower. It was a very clean unit, but I drove for several hours and the upper bunk was a little stiff for my lower back. But overall it was nice. The unit has a fridge, freezer, heater and microwave.
We stayed in the tiny home called WheelHaus next to the creek. It was an amazing place. It was super clean and comfortable. The hot water and water pressure in the shower was great. The bed was comfortable and they had extra sheets and blankets in the closets. No complaints at all. Even my dog enjoyed this place. If we're ever back in Montrose, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Nice place to stay around the Waco area
First Tiny House experience
I booked and paid for a reservation for a two night stay approximately two months prior to our arrival for Tiny House #1 by the creek. This was to be our last stay on a nine day vacation. I received a text the day we arrived letting me know the code to the tiny house #4 (not on the creek and much smaller). We did go in to see what it looked like. Night and Day from what I reserved. After texting, a few phone calls, and then having one of their employees contact the manager, he called me and apologized. He said another employee moved us without checking with him first. They did offer a free stay and had us look at another tiny house, but they didn't compare to the one we originally reserved so we declined and found other lodging nearby. They refunded our money. Just be aware that it could happen to you.
Cabin was right next to rushing creek, peaceful and great access to Black Canyon National Park
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was amazing.
This was a cozy, clean, and comfy stay with easy access to Telluride. Thank you!
Place is cute, but needs some love. Blinds are all broken, linens were soiled and had hair, neighbors were smoking pot and it filled our cabin as well. Not great, but not too bad if you just need a bed.
Setting is rather unique with a combination of various type of accommodations next to a running river. WiFi is very weak.
Loved my stay in the tiny homes
Perfect little tiny home, exactly what I was looking for
It was a lovely experience. Our little cottage was next to a river. We had a picnic outside and it was adorable. We weren’t big fans of shared bathrooms and showers though.
The cabin was clean and comfortable and we loved the sound of the river nearby!
Yuck.
Attempted to stay here with my 3 small children. Check in was fine. We unloaded the car and left for dinner. Upon returning I noticed the main bed had dog hair all over the comforter. Like ALL over. So I pulled the sheets back and found more dog hair, human hair, long and short and curly, and then for the finale I saw a big pee stain. We left immediately and booked at another hotel. The room smelled to begin with but I was willing to let that go for one night. My husband called and spoke to someone and he told my husband this actually happens often. What?! Disgusting. He offered a refund, we haven’t seen it come through yet.
The Yurt was lovely. If you are not into listening to flowing water all night find a place waway from the water.
Perfect!
Most of the outlets did not work in the tiny house but it was adorable. Good for a stay before a flight out
Nice area
Fun stay and walkable to steakhouse near by. Grounds were nice. Porch on place needed a little TLC but all in all it was a good stay.
Nick was awesome, helpful, and very friendly. Laundry facilities were very clean. Loved sitting in the little park while waiting for clothes to wash and dry. The tiny house we stayed in was very cute and clean. It had everything we would need being away from home.
Wonderful!
My Mistake
The property is misleading. The rustic cabin by the creek is one small room with a loft. The ladder to reach the loft is dead center in the room dividing what little stand space there is. The fridge, microwave and coffee maker no running water. The list of NO'S is - no dresser, no shelf, no closet no where to put belongings except for a dining table with 2 chairs The creek is more run off than stream with 5-6 tires and a view of the spare parts for the property. This is a long term rental property to include tents. Tent site 1 is in the front yard of the cabin where 3 people were long term camping. The bunk restrooms are set aside for the yurts and cabins. The door was rarely secure allow any one to access them. The wifi is spotty at best, rarely lasting more than 20 mins without interruption.
Great stay in a nice yurt.
Everything very clean and staff very friendly!!
This place was beyond my expectations. The sounds of the creek next to the house, made falling asleep so peaceful. I wish i had stayed longer.
The tiny home was so cute. Loved the retro looking fridge. The workers were very helpful. We would stay here again. We even saw a deer behind the property one morning.
The Tiny House we stayed was nice change from staying in Hotels
RV park with trees as opposed to many motels with no trees. Tiny House was very functional. New TV did not work for standard channels. But if you are visiting Colorado, why would you watch TV? However, Olympics were on at the time.
It was great. Easy check in for our late arrival and we slept great. Bathroom is a short walk but it was no problem and clean facility. Yurt is unique and peaceful. It was nice being next to the river. Wish we could have stayed longer.
This place was perfect for our family of 6. The shaded porch area was amazing for drinking coffee and eating breakfast in the mornings and the playground was right across the way where we could keep our eyes on it at all times. It came with a grill outside and plenty of dishes for all of us to use. It is a little dated, and the bed in the bedroom downstairs is squeaky, but it was a great place to stay. Kids loved it.
Well kept rv park. The bathhouses were impeccable. We stayed in cedar creek cabin. Running creek right next to the cabin with a porch off to the side overlooking it. Beds were comfortable, very clean, everything you need to stay overnight. Friendly staff. Very close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison national Park. Would stay here again without hesitation.
Nice campsite but some rough campers
This was a nice little campground. I gave only 4 stars due to some debri around the site and lack of cabin landscaping. A few flowers would have really made a difference but thats a small detail. Cabin and bathrooms were clean. Neighbors to the site were a bit sketchy and tenters were allowed to camp that also looked a bit rough.
Black canyon cabin was cute and overall fit the bill for our national Park trip. Location to national Park was perfect -20 min drive to visitor center. Loft AC unit needed help getting working. One set of sheets was stained with blood, so we just took it off and slept with just comforter. It is in RV park and right at the entry so it is a little busy being near the office and entrance. Tiny house is cute and functional, minutes the details above.
Overall was a nice experience
We really enjoyed staying in Tiny cabin 6! While we had a few issues upon checking in, the host helped us to resolve them immediately! It’s quiet, small, but tidy!!!
Comfortable bed. Lots of bugs inside the tiny house. Dishes were not clean in cabinets. Also really close to everyone else, and we were expecting more privacy.
Couldn’t sleep!
We stayed as the tiny house and it was terrible. Ton of bugs inside! super loud AC right next to your head and you can’t even turn it off because ppl above you would suffocate because of lack of air on the loft. We had to book another hotel after the first night in the house! If AC would be moved to the upper level it would be an amazing place to stay though.
The tiny home was so cute!!! We LOVED it! They had a nice little kitchen where I was able to easily prepare our meals. The decor was lovely, the beds were comfortable and it was overall a wonderful experience. I would definitely do it again. My daughter and I were just passing through the area and only staying for one night. We were going to Black Canyon at the Gunnison national Park and it was close to this location. The price was very affordable considering we had a nice little tiny home to stay in versus a hotel. For the money, the quality was much nicer than a hotel. It was a great value through Expedia.
Inside our cabin was delightful! Staff was helpful. However there were loads of flying bugs and earwigs that came inside every time we opened the door. The outdoor furniture was dirty/worn, bathrooms smelled bad and the property was surrounded by streets and buildings.
Cabin was very dirty. Hair in the beds. The owner did refund us for our stay
Great location, decent unit, DIRTY
The unit itself was pretty nice - not as fancy as what you see on Tiny House Nation, etc., but it checked all the tiny house boxes - full fridge, hot plate, full-sized couch (long enough for our daughter to sleep on), bed, decent shower, and a table you could pull out from the wall. It's also in a great location if you are visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison. But, there were two major strikes against our stay. First, check-in was a nightmare. The envelope provided for late check-in didn't contain the door code! So we called the office number, only to get voicemail. We did get a call back after 10-15 minutes, but it was nerve-wracking in the interim! Second, either housekeeping hadn't been there at all, or housekeeping just didn't do a good job. There was a huge clump of black hair on the shower wall (kind of hard to miss...), plus hairs on the bathroom floor and in our sheets. There were also quite a few dead bugs in the bathroom. If management could fix the check-in process and ensure proper housekeeping, I'd give this a 4 out of 5. But until then, I'd steer clear.
We stayed in one of the tiny homes. The property layout is a bit confusing at night, but the tiny home itself was clean, comfortable, and had great amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
Quiet, close to main streets

Gem in Montrose
Nicely surprised by this stay! The tiny house was clean, comfortable, well appointed, quite and quaint.
