We’ve moved to the hotel. Everything is incorrect on the description. The sound on the tv doesn’t work. It’s not 2 bedroom bed, but 1.5 bedroom bed. The reception is not 24/7 and the representative are never there. The a/c doesn’t work inside the capsules. The capsules are not soundproof and we cannot sleep here because of the people walking around and people are talking. Everything is very much hearable. We cannot lock our doors and there is not place for our baggage to leave. Representatives walking around knocking and opening doors for some reason. Everyday in the shower area overflowing in the main corridor and it smells like pee and poop. So if you want to use the restroom you have to walk through someone’s pee. People who live there coughing around like they are going to die from tuberculosis. I moved out on the 3rd day out of 9 days they promised to give me the refund if someone moves in to my capsule. Someone did move in but there was no refund following.

Ok but could be a lot better.

This hostel is ok but good be a lot better. The location is good for the transport system and visiting the old town. Nice alley way /court yard. The capsule's give you a bit of privacy and have aircon with built in lights and USB charging. Pellows are very soft. Not the cleanest of bedding.The lighting in the dorm where the capsule are is very dim Very annoying to try and sort your stuf out. The kitchen is not a kitchen, you won't be able to cook. A kettle, fridge and microwave with a sink. The showers are very hot with good pressure. Its ok to stay here for a night or 2 but wouldn't recommend a long stay.

I Like this place!

It is not a property that seals the outdoors out. I got bitten by several mosquitos and the wifi was on and off the whole tome I was there. The capsules are a cool concept, but here they are poor executed. It gets super hot and is just a bad experience all around. The staff are lovely, but I would advise against staying here

Lots to improve

Bed is very uncomfortable, basically a very thin fouton on a hard surface.. and there is virtually no space in the room not even to keep a toiletries' bag No noise insulation whatsoever you could hear everything and everyone. Only one small lockers given per capsule (not enough lockers for all either) so most of our items had to be left outside in the hallway resulting in that area being filled with people's suitcases and belonging. Messy and unsafe. Also the hallway is kept dark for sleeping throughout the day so you can't ever see what you are doing and have to carry your phone's flashlight to even grab your toothbrush. Reception not manned - the guys are helpful but barely there, we had to wait over an hour when checking in to ask questions and get a locker key, we gave a deposit for the key but nobody was there at check out time to give that money back to us. Toilets and showers nice and cleaned.

The place was clean and super cool in the middle of the city center

Though the property is very near to the old city it is not comfortable to stay on a vacation because the place is very untidy and the capsule is not suitable for resting since you can still here the noise of the other guest also.

I would not recommend staying here. This place does not seem safe. The gate is broken, you do not have to walk by a front desk to get to the rooms or bathrooms which are unlocked, and even if you did the front desk worker was asleep. If you are on a budget I’d suggest spending a little more and going somewhere at least on safer side

Don't do it girl; it's not worth it

As an experienced female, solo traveller, I usually have no problems staying in big mixed dorms. However, I really did not enjoy my stay for various reasons. Lets begin with the positives: + beds were clean and comfy + There was cutting in front of each bed for privacy + each bed had a spacious locker with key + the location was ideal + The receptionist was friendly and helpful However: - on my first night, a clearly deranged man came back around 4 am. He was creepy; he for instance laughed for 5 minutes straight in the middle of the night. We tried to wake him without success. I ended up leaving around 6 am as I felt uncomfortable. We notified staff, who dealt with him. However, he was still there when I returned at 5 pm. I asked if we was going to stay another night, but apparently they kicked him out but let him stay all day?? - the hostel was very worn down. There was no door between the reception and the dorm, meaning a fair bit of noise. Furthermore, the door to the reception was broken, meaning there was no door between the outside and the dorm. Therefore, it was very cold at night. - the place is next to a nightclub playing loud bass music til 5 am. Even noise-cancelling headphones did not help - there were only two shower+two bathrooms for all guests to share. Especially the showers had some fungus growing. Overall, I do not recommend going to this hostel. And I am by no means picky!

Read Before Booking

The location is perfect and the communication was good and employees are nice. Unfortunately, the pros stop there. The capsules are made out of cheap plastic you could cut with a box cutter. They're flimsy and thin. And they don't lock. There are key cards but all you need to do is push in lightly on the door and slide it open. We always inspect the mattress when we stay at a hotel/hostel/B&B and when we looked under this mattress it was very dirty. We made up an excuse to leave and booked a different hotel. The other poor reviews on Google aren't lying.

No early morning help.

No warning that there would be no one to check us in early in the morning. The entire facilty was unlocked. Our key was on the front desk with no instructions about anything. Otherwise, it was as advertised.

The place is nice and clean, you have what you need for a trip, best location, between old city n new. 5 minutes from jaffa gate, and 2 minutes from city hall rail station. The host was polite. Definitely a good place to stay.

El concepto es excelente, las camas impecables de limpias. El personal muy atentos a nuestras necesidades, el servicio de regaderas y baños miy bueno. Solo yo le pondria mas atención a la limpieza de la puerta de entrada, al techo de la recepcion, hay muchos cables visibles que no le dan buen aspecto. En ceneral lo recomiendo.

Awful stay

Very bad experience. The facility is very dirty and old, no one in the reception ever, no locker for backpacks, the matress was maybe 3cm tall (we slept 3hours during the all night) and, in the room of the capsule there was a very big rat. Really awful experience, the worst of my life, during our trip! We had a 3 days stay but we left after one. Still waiting for the refund of the last night.

hello travelers. Do not stay in this place, it is dirty, very dirty, the staff is indifferent, they do not care about the guests, there was a sick guy coughing all night, they did not care and they preferred to take the risk of infecting others. Dirty bathrooms, garbage in the middle of the capsules, the power went out 3 times, places like these should not be allowed by the government, for your sake add a couple of dollars and find another place. Big mistake

First of all the address at hotel.com is WRONG and the owner knew that!!! IT IS NOT NEAR to Jafa gate! Actually the only reason I have visit this hostel was the spot near to Jafa gate, which wasn't real. I slept one night in double capsule, the idea of capsule was ok but my capsule was in BAD condition with some broken plastic parts, no lock, no wi-fi connection and television with no signal. The Hostel facilities was dirty.

It’s was a good and friendly place. Amazing location also.

The location of this place is perfect, in the middle of old town and interesting part of the northern part of the city. Some minor damages that are not dramatically but e.g. the hooks in the bathrooms should be properly fixed. The service for check in and out was quick and easy. The capsules are made out of plastic and you hear noises from the others. its way better than staying in a usual hostel. You have your privacy within the capsule.

A localização perfeita próximo a cidade velha e à parada de VLT, o que facilita a locomoção. Dentro da cápsula é bem legal, porém o colchonete era muito fino e senti minhas costas no estrado da cama todos os dias. O travesseiro também não era bom. Há apenas 2 banheiros para várias pessoas, porém sempre limpos. A cápsula é bem espaçosa. A TV funcionava apenas o YouTube, mas foi bom pra passar o tempo! Na pequena cozinha não há utensílios o que torna um pouco inutilizável, mas da pra esquentar algo no microondas ou usar o frigobar. Me senti bem a vontade e consegui o suporte que precisei por WhatsApp com o responsável. Achei que o rapaz que fica lá precisa ter um pouco mais de educação e ser mais solicito com os clientes. Algumas vezes agiu com grosseria e ironia com as pessoas, o que foi desagradável. Algumas manhãs fui acordada pelo funcionário que fazia a limpeza batendo na cápsula. Poderia ser um pouco mais silencioso, mas no geral a experiência foi muito boa!

This is a great place to stay. The location is fantastic, as it is directly opposite the New Gate entrance to the Old City, right on Jaffa Street, a quick walk to the literail. Toni is a very friendly and conscientious host who is quick to respond to every inquiry, whether by text, phone or in person. He is eager to help make one's stay the best it can possibly be and is open to hearing suggestions on what can make the hotel even better. The 'capsules' are amazing. They are spacious and very comfortable. I loved the bed; It was firm but not hard, and I had a terrific sleep. They are well lit, have a television in them and lots of room to arrange my belongings. The price was right! Well below a standard hotel and competitive with hostels. I prefer the 'capsules' because I have my own place, Then, there is a small sitting area and bar area where one can meet others if one so chooses. Thighly recommend Toni Ran's place and invite you to consider it when. in Jerusalem.
