Worth the money!

Everything was great, the staff and the room. Super quiet, which I loved. The only thing I didn't like was that the bed was too soft for me but that's a personal choice.

Okay stay

It was okay - very quiet building and good beds, although being locked out of the room twice. Room was clean, bathroom okay, however elevators may need some attention. Breakfast was a bit simple, but sufficient. Parking okay, and friendly staff. No recycling bin. Would consider booking again when in the area

It's quite and we had a good rest in their hotel.

Booked this hotel for a family getaway but they didn't note on the website that their pool was vlosed for the long weekend. Also, the arcade games show as family friendly but my 16 year wasn't able to access them as they're in an 18+ only area. Had to stay the night as the manager was not availble to inform us about a refund. Moved to another hotel for the rest of our stay.

Enjoyed my stay.

It was average, nothing stood out good or bad, pool was unavailable, disappointed, breakfast was okay but could be warmer. Elevators need a little work, otherwise satisfied.

The pool had been broken for a long time and we had booked with a team for the pool. When we asked we were told we could get a discount in the morning. When we approached the front desk girl she snapped the manager is in Tuesday. My bathroom door didn’t close properly but I was scared to move rooms as other members had worse issues like used towels

Clean and tidy, the front desk clerk are approachable and it include breakfast.

Do not stay here! Our room was dirty. There was a previously used towel in our bathroom. The shower doesn’t drain so you have to stand in ankle deep water. The pool is filthy and filled with algae. The side entrance is propped open and there are homeless people coming and going from the hotel. Extremely unsafe.

I recommend Border Inn and Suites for anyone!! Quiet and Peaceful.

All amenities were up and running. Rooms/ bathroom are bright and clean. The lounge was nice and had good food. And the breakfast was very well stocked. No complaints I would recommend this Inn.

Hot room

The room was warm either no air-conditioning or wasn't turned on. Turned thermostat as low as possible and still blew warm air.

This was a pleasant surprise. I’ve never been there before but I’m certain when I’m back for work I’ll be staying here. The room was very spacious, bed was comfy and I really liked the lay out. Very comfortable stay for a very reasonable price. Thank you!

Struggled to operate TV and but overall a decent experience

1st room I was given was not cleaned by house keeping so had to get a different room. Young lady at desk was very helpful and apologetic about it

Fro t end staff was amazing DC was extremely polite and professional. Little updating and this hotel would be a 9.9 (nothings perfect). Breakfast was good. The lady managing the breakfast area makes that experience. Very polite and tentative towards the guests-give her a raise- she starts pwoles days for them and sets their mood.

The hotel is older and made with concrete, this made for very quiet rooms. It was well maintained and clean. I would stay here again.

Breakfast

Didn't even check in; wasted money with online booking. The staff were friendly enough and the hotel may have been fine, but chose not to stay after directed to "expect" my car doors would be checked at least once during the night; this was after having five characters watch me and my vehicle once parked. Found a safer alternative.

The stay was fine but a night with a dog barking all night.. asked maintenance to try adress it but not much so not a well sleep. Otherwise the stay was okay, had to ask housekeeping to help a couple times.. rather than the other way around

The room and facility are great!

The property is older and could use a few updates in the rooms, however very clean. Beds were comfortable and staff was friendly.

Price was great. Outdated. Breakfast included was a bonus.

First person we met was the booking in agent.. was interrupted twice while booking in when he stopped and assisted other staff members with questions that could have waited until we were done - rude and unprofessional. Didn’t give any information either - where to find elevator or breakfast information (where and time etc). Ended up looking ourselves. The room had been smoked in and we had to leave the fan on the whole stay .. passing staff were pleasant and place was clean. Won’t be my first choice next time we’re in Lloydminster.

Hotel looks a little older, but very clean. Quick one night stay in the one bedroom suite and it was very spacious. Comfy bed and beautiful bathroom with a jet tub.

Property is overall well maintained. However i found spider on the bed and i couldn't sleep well after. I told the concierge to look into it. Breakfast is included but its average. If they served hot omelates instead of mini egg bites, it would be at different level. The biggest con is noise around suites. Walls are very thin and you could hear people taking in other rooms and constant banging from outside whenever people leaving and entering their suites. Don't forget to bring ear plugs or you won't be able to sleep.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Hotel was quiet. Rooms were dated, but clean. Breakfast was very good.

Decent hotel

Decent hotel, but the air conditioning doesn’t work in rooms it’s so hot, we stayed here few weeks ago and had same problem thought it was just the room but guess not. Breakfast is pretty good, overall was good hotel for the price.

Rude Front Desk Staff

I had hoped it would make things a bit easier for me if I stayed in the same hotel as the big 2 day event I was a part of. However, this was not the case. Upon speaking to 3 different people, all of whom were pleasant & helpful in guiding me with how to have a smooth check-in, given I had special circumstances which needed extra attention. When the day finally came to check in, I followed the instructions I was given by those I spoke to, & was met with a completely different story & rudeness by the staff member working that day. I ended up having to speak to the manager to have things dealt with. After finally checking in, I proceeded to go up to the room, only to find the fridge not working, the one thing I needed the most, along with the phone. The fridge was also a cube, so tiny. The cleaning staff & maintenance personnel were kind & helpful in getting things fixed up. From here, I thought, things should be good, & for the most part, they were. Until check out. The room itself was cleaned & organized. The beds were comfortable, & my sleep was decent. No issues. It was upon check out that I was again met with the same rude & unpleasant person who reminded me just how much I wished I had stayed in a different place. Overall, the room was pleasant, a typical hotel room. The bed was surprisingly more comfortable than I thought, which was a plus. I didn't try their breakfast, as I have allergies & didn't want to take the risk. The price was also high for what you get.

Second stay while in Lloyd. Would definitely go back

Never cleaned our room after a week and woke us up on nightshift every day after repeatedly telling the desk.

We are staying here for work on night shift and we haven't had the room cleaned once had the garbage taken or been given towels after going down everyday and asking. They have also repeatedly woke us up in the middle of the day knowing we are night shift. This was a horrible experience.

The staff are always so friendly. Very clean building and affordable. it’s the only place I stay when I’m going through town.

Front desk lady was good for the first night(black hair mid 40s ish), waived the damage deposit and then next day when tried booking again for 1 more night the lady said nope you have to leave right now get your stuff and get out. Other than that hotel was clean and room was very nice but did not like the way I was treated by the other lady that was working. (Blonde hair, over weight)

It was very quiet in the evening and it was nice to have a restaurant/lounge besides the free breakfast in the morning. A little worn in some spots (paint) but it was certainly very good for the price!

Never had an issue here. Always clean and friendly. The gym is not equipped with any dumbbells and is quite small. Other than that it’s fine :)

This was a good hotel, it’s old and dated but not in a bad way. Breakfast was great and the breakfast staff were lovely. We had an issue with our lock on the room door and ended up having to move rooms, but the Maintenance worker was very helpful and his customer service was above and beyond. There was however a lady at the front desk in the morning during our checkout who in fact was quite grumpy/sarcastic and unpleasant, and when I mentioned our issue with the lock she acted very unprofessionally and made many rude comments toward the maintenance worker that helped us, and asked us strange interrogating questions about said issue which made us feel like an inconvenience. That is the only reason I gave a 3 star.

Was ok place to stay. Little out date but good for the price.

There where a lot of Families with children staying for dance competition & sports so the hotel was busy. However the hotel quieted down nicely about 11 p.m. They have a nice breakfast with hot food & wonderful servers. Like the larger suites at the back of the hotel as they provide extra space for having friends or family in for a visit or some take out food.

Was alright, did the trick but the room thermostat was non existent. Room was about 27 degrees when I arrive. All it had for AC was a fan. Low/medium/high. Had on high for 3 days I stayed there and didn’t cool down much. Breakfast was good.

Pleasant stay

I really enjoyed my stay and will be back. Just a few minor tweaks. My room was warm, not terribly uncomfortable but I like a cooler room. The hotel brought a fan to the room, that helped. I checked the window if I could open a bit of it, couldnt. Thats it. Staff was awesome! Breakfast was awesome! I will be back.

When I booked Expedia rep told me there was a hot tub. Which there wasn’t. Lady at the front desk should learn how to talk to staff respectfully. And the rooms were so hot and couldn’t turn on AC as they hadn’t turned it on yet for the year.

Not worth the stay

The room was filthy. The area had alot of men roaming around. Alot of people in the hallways that where not staying there. It's a old hotel that needs a update a good clean and friendlier staff. There are way better hotels in Lloydminster then this one. Pick a different spot

The stay is always great but the the rooms need an update as the furniture is old and falling apart and very uncomfortable to sit on.

Disappointing experience with front desk staff

My experience during checkout was disappointing. The front desk staff member was unprofessional and brought up the number of adults in the room when we were simply asking for breakfast coupons. She repeatedly insisted that my booking, made through Expedia, was only for two adults, despite my receipt from Hotels.com and the signed waiver clearly indicating three adults. She also mentioned that the room was only meant for two adults. I felt that her attitude was not only dismissive but also discriminatory, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.

Staff was great and rooms were clean. The only thing was the elevator was extremely slow. It was good excuse to use the stairs.

Friendly co-operative staff

Rooms were a bit small but very doable for 3 of us. Clean, friendly service. Breakfast was good. Very good value for your money.

Hotel room was nice and clean. Only issues we had we our alarm went off at 6 am unexpectedly so the room attendant didnt shut alarm off from previous person staying there, kind of a rude awakening on a Sunday. We went down for breakfast once we had our food at the table sitting down to eat the lady told us we had to have shoes on cant be in sock feet so wehad to go get shoes on, went back to our 3rd floor room and got our shoes by time we got back our food was cold also to note there us no signage saying you must be in shoes which would have been nice to see before we had our food.

The staff gave us a very hard time at check in because our room was booked under mine name but my s/o was gonna pay and they got mad that we didn’t use the same persons credit card and booking info
