Basic,but clean,great parking and an easy walk to historic area

Good value for money

Reasonable size room. Bed comfortable could do with another fold up luggage stand. Reception staff were good. Continental breakfast was good. Meal at attached restaurant was good and good value. Cons. Air con was noisy. We were not advised about how to get through the boom gate before arrival, and parked outside and wife walked some distance to reception to find out how to get past boom gate and checkin.

Located right beside the Braga train station, within a 10 minute walk to the arch entering the historic centre. So many sights to see. The air conditioning wasn’t working the two nights we were there, and did report it, but luckily it was cool at night, so slept with the window open (we were on the 6th floor). Elevator was a luxury! Very basic hotel room, nothing fancy but clean enough and bed was comfortable.

Basi is a good description.Had all you need when travelling. Breakfast was more than adequate, safe parking, friendly front desk. would reccomend.

Stay in Braga

Enjoyed a one night stay at Basic Braga in a family room which was clean and comfortable enough at a very competitive price. The room was a good size and looked to have been recently decorated, although similar to other hotels in Portugal lighting is sparse.. The bathroom could do with an update and lino covered the room rather than carpet, however this turned out to be very useful after coming back soaking wet from a walk around Braga! The hotel is attached to the train station, but no issue with noise as the room was well insulated.. Overall if you are looking for hotel without frills but with the essentials, the Basic Braga is a good, value for money option.

Nice location , good price , bed sucks , pillows suck , room was tiny

I liked everything and thé Team is fantastic !!! I need to do thé photocopies of thé papiers and They did it without cost for me ... when I asked for something ... immediately ... They answered it me and with thé smile !!! Thé riooms are very confortable and thé price is no at all expensif !!! Even in the «  high saison... there is a very good small restaurant inside ... where you can eat very well and it’s not expensif too ... I appreciated a lot !!!

Better than basic

You can't ask much more for the price... Everything worked just fine, from elevators to showers or lighting. Small rooms, but quite confortable. Staff was kind and efficient. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from main streets, be it for shopping or nightlife. Ample parking with private access (5 euros a day), under the adjacent railway station.

Great value for money.

Over all very good value for money. Great location right next to Braga station. Entry from Station platform great. Room lighting is a little too dark. But on the whole a great time.

Axis Braga

Very good hotel. Clean, modern and very nice hotel. Great location and great staff.

The hotel is basic so is exactly as described. It's clean, close to the city centre and the train station and the staff are very friendly. I didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast so can't comment on that but it all looked very nice and was well used by other guests. There is no kettle, fridge or hairdryer in the room I stayed in. The bed was comfortable and I slept well here. If you want a budget base from which to explore then you can't go wrong here and you can spend the money saved on exploring!

Afordable, clean and confortable. Nothing to criticise.

Ok for the price paid but no thrills. It's a clean, safe place to sleep. Easy to drive to and within 10 mins walk of the town center.

Good value for money

No problems. Check in and check out smooth and efficient - and friendly. Didn't use dinner restaurant or hotel parking, as no problems getting free street parking nearby. Good breakfast. Good location for visiting Braga - and it's located right beside the railway station. Only hassle was shower curtain rail fell down twice and had to call reception each time.

It’s basic, as the name of the hotel suggests, but very reasonably priced. If you’re not spending too much time in your room and want a cheap hotel, it’s fine. Handy for train station. Short walk to the centre. Staff friendly, breakfast cheap.

Braga Good

Good value for your money. Excellent receptionist with great ideas on visits and places to eat.

Nice hotel in a nice location

The hotel is right next to the train station, although you can't hear it. The hostoric area is only a 15 minutes walk. The room is small but really comfortable and cheap, so it's a perfect compromise. I would go back anytime!

It's in the name

Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. There is nothing over the top about it. Its conveniently located above the train station with easy access to the city! Would go back again.

Stay away ! Bad service ! Train parking €5 a day

Cancelled reservation due to charge of 5€ a day for parking, False advertisement and nasty staff!

I booked there for 3 nights to attend in a conference in Braga. It is budget hotel but it was really basic!

surprisingly good no-frills

Super-convenient right next the the train station. Not a happening or pretty location of course but a quick 5-10 minute walk to the town centre. Room was very basic but clean and comfortable, great value for the price. Breakfast could use some improvement though, basically bread and cereal.

Great Location

I had booked the room by mistake and it was too late to make changes so we made the best of the situation. I had intended to stay somewhere close to Porto and fortunately, the hotel was right by the station that takes you directly to Porto. The location by the station made the hotel an ideal place to stay, but otherwise the town of Braga doesn't really have much.

Great location for exploring Braga

We took the train from Porto to Braga and decided to stay at the Basic Braga Hotel because of its location next to the train station which would be convenient for the follow on train trip to Lisbon. The hotel is actually located behind the station and is accessible from inside the station. Did not notice this entrance until we left for the trip to Lisbon. This entrance actually leads into the hotel restaurant and from there to the lobby. If you walk around from the outside after exiting the train station, then turn left behind the taxi stand. The hotel is not marked very well. The entrance sits off in a corner and is marked by a large white Letter H. The hotel was clean with comfortable beds and reasonably priced and the location to town was perfect. It really is only a short walk to town. I was traveling with my daughter and we never felt unsafe, even when we returned in the dark. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was ok, but we preferred the small Cafe across the street. Internet avcess was good and there was a $2 charge per day for internet access.

It was clean, conveniently located and cheap

we knew what to expect and it was as predicted, so that is good. The girl on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were small, clean and compact. No complaints.

Best Low Cost Hotel

We were there for the UEFA Cup Game Braga-Besiktas. Very nice and simple designed rooms, kindly and helpfull staff. They never say no.. They're just offering similar if they can not do. This is an important thing which makes a hotel stayable. Thank you so much for Front Office staff especially to Nadia, say hi to Braga Fan Barman :) and thank you again for all time.. You just had good friends from Istanbul.I hope you can come to Istanbul and if you can, don't forget to visit The Marmara Sisli :)

Basic Braga by Axis - ideal to walk into the town

next to the station with plenty of trains to other parts of Portugal but it is not noisy as trains stop at night and all rooms have excellent double double glazing so do not let the station put you off. In 5 minutes you are in the centre of the town with really good shops and superb restaurants close by at reasonable prices. The christmas decorations in town were magnificent and were switched on at the start of December. Staff were excellent and for value it is excellent, as well as having very secure underground paking if you have a car. We had a great stay. In and around the city there are lots of interesting baroque style building and you can use public transport for ones just outside the town

Basic Braga by Axis great price,staff and so clean

The location next to the station and only 10 minutes walk to the city centre make it so convenient. It is quiet though and the secure underground parking great if you have a car(no real need as good buses to places of interest). The place is really clean and staff so helpful. Christmas lights in town were fantastic(check as they may not be there next year). If in Porto it is well worth a few days in Braga and this is a great place to choose.

Basic Braga by Axis

The hotel was located literally right next to the central train station - there's a door leading straight to the hotel from Platform 1, although I didn't realise this initially! The hotel was surprisingly good for a budget hotel - the room and public areas were clean and the room was a reasonable size, and the receptionist was polite and very helpful. My only problem was with the air conditioning system - I had to leave the fan on all night to prevent the room from getting too hot, and even at the lowest setting, the fan was blowing quite hard. I'm not even sure if I was using the system correctly, as changing the thermostat setting seemed to have no effect. Perhaps the system needs fixing, or some instructions need to be included for guests.

The place to stay (value for money with all essentials)

It was a nice hotel, I enjoyed my stay. Its very conveniently located (right next to the train station and 5-mins walk to city centre) and is brand new. Staff have been very helpful, their in-hotel service prices are also very competitive. Would stay again...

great location great price

if you are planning just one or 2 nights in braga this hotel is perfect. It is basic as the name suggests - there is not much room but for a short stay it is such good value. The hotel is right beside the train station and just 5mins walk to the historical centre.

O Hotel ao lado da estação de trens , com muitas facilidades . Bom quarto , com equipamentos novos , apesar de já precisar de alguns reparos . Parte da iluminação estava queimada . Chuveiro excelente , ótimas roupas de cama , toalhas .o Serviço de quarto impecável . Camareiras todos os dias arrumam os quartos como na chegada , perfeito . Gosto muito disso ! Café da manhã bom preço mas simples . Poderiam incluir ovos . Está há uns 700 MTS do centro da cidade . Tem restaurante com bom preço no próprio hotel Voltaria com certeza .

voyage d’affaires, une simple nuit pour dormir

Atendeu minhas necessidades. Fica ao lado da estação de trem, e muito perto do centro histórico é turístico. O hotel é simples mas está num local estrategico.

Passagem por Braga

Hotel fica bem ao pé da estação de comboios e próximo ao centro de Braga. Apartamento amplo. No geral, é uma opção compatível com o preço da diária. O check in foi bem rápido, feito por uma funcionária muito simpática.

Gute, zentrale Unterkunft. Sehr praktisch ist der hoteleigene Bereich im Parkhaus des Bahnhofs für 5 € die Nacht. Frühstück ist günstig (5 €) und für den Preis gut. Leider liegt das Hotel direkt an der Autobahn, sodass es sehr laut ist und man auch mit geschlossenem Fenster die Straße deutlich hört. Für 1, 2 Nächte gut, für einen längeren Aufenthalt und für Ruhe, würde ich ein anderes Hotel empfehlen.

Nous sommes très satisfaits de ce séjour d'une nuit. Centre ville accessible à pied, parking souterrain. Chambre très propre, bon couchage.

Sufocante

Fui obrigado a abrir a janela do quarto num 6 andar, junto à uma estação de comboios e um túnel rodoviário, porque o ar era irrespiravel e muito quente numa noite de chuva intensa, porque o ar condicionado não funcionava para o frio e não renovava o ar. Muito mau.

Está muy cerca del centro, pero al no estar justo en él, se puede aparcar fácilmente en los alrededores. Habitación muy sencilla, pero con todo lo necesario y cama muy cómoda. El personal del hotel es muy amable y servicial.

una estancia muy agradable, hotel limpio, moderno, desayuno acorde con el precio. Céntrico, a 15 minutos del centro histórico de Braga. El aparcamiento que el hotel tiene es cómodo, tiene muchas plazas. Una estancia muy agradable.

Hôtel agréable, bien situé dans la ville. Au-dessus de la gare, mais la chambre était bien insonorisée pour l’extérieur. En revanche, mal insonorisée entre les chambres. En fonction des résidents, un peu bruyant. Le lit de qualité moyenne : un changement de matelas serait utile. Petit déjeuner continental très moyen. Café horrible… bien meilleur chez McDo !

Es un Hotel muy céntrico, a escasos 10 minutos andando del centro..lleno de bares y restaurantes. Lasnperso as de recepción sonbmuy amables y nos indicaron muchos sitios interesante. Queriamos una mariscada para celebrar un cumpleaños y nosni dicaton una zona preciosa. La habitación pequeña pero para ducharnos y dormir estuvo bien.

1 dia em Braga

Atendimento dos funcionários muito cordial, tanto da ecepção quanto do restaurante e do espaço para café da manhã. Houve um problema no ar condicionado que não funcionou, mas como fiquei 1 dia e com a janela aberta estava ok, não desqualificou o hotel. ótima localização, perto do Centro. Restaurante com boa comida e preço justo.Uma opção para comer sem dúvida. Recomendo
