Excellent unit for family vacation
This was a perfect location for our family trip to Banff. The kitchen (and close proximity to Safeway!) allowed us to cook our meals and play board games in the evening, with just a short trip into the park to visit each day. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the unit was well stocked with amenities. The bed was comfortable. My only nitpick is that it would have been nice to have a small table or drawers to better arrange clothes in the rooms.
All was great 👍
Condo was well equipped and comfortable. We had to ask for additional cleaning which was done quickly. Placemats were too dirty to use. Uncomfortable with virtual check in.
Hotel was dirty parking was unclear fire alarm was going off all night Train sounds like its coming through the room Staff was rude
Simply, yet tight place. Traffic noise was drowned out with ear plugs provided.
Great accommodations for families or groups.
The room (micro suite) was clean, parking was convenient, the kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfortable. The noise however was awful. The train is one thing (we were expecting that) but the noice from people walking outside and up and down the stairs was loud and whoever decided to shovel so early maybe could have done so without hitting every metal staircase. On a positive note they do provide ear plugs. We’ve stayed at other Basecamp resorts and have really enjoyed them. We wouldn’t choose this location again.
Lovely location, nice room, full kitchen was fantastic.
Nice ski base
Nice, spacious two bedroom condo. Great base for a ski vacation in the Rockies. Only downside was the train track, but with the window closed, not a big deal.
Good experience
The hotel is nice a comfortable the only issue is the noise from other rooms upstairs and the train.
Overall it is nice place to stay.
Great value and clean. but the parking was tight would have been nice if there was an extra blanket.
ground level units are noisy. Kitchens are pretty good.
Very clean
Clean, location was good. Large for several people to share. Enjoyed the hot tub. Only negative is tight parking for large vehicles.
Loved so much absolutely amazing
Girls weekend!
Amazing weekend getaway with my bestie! Condo layout was a little surprising; bathtooms all being on top floor but the bed was very comfy and pillows were soft and fluffy. And we absolutely loved that there was a french press for our coffee in the morning. Very nice touch 👌 Only complaint would be the lack of a smart TV... but we survived on the basic cable.
We were very pleased with our stay at Basecamps! The in-suite kitchen and outdoor BBQ were a huge bonus, we loved being able to cook our own food the whole trip! And the rooftop hot tub was amazing!! We will absolutely be back!
Great place for a family stay, lots of room
It is a great location and super conveniently located. It was easy to check in and check out. They were also very communicative. My only constructive feedback would be to give guests the option of saying whether or not they are planning to use the hot tub. We weren’t planning on using it so didn’t need the many updated and reminders about the protocols of the hot tub. Otherwise great stay!
The studio rooms either the one bed have everything you need especially in the kitchen. It’s definitely good for just 2 people! The only thing is that you can hear the people above you really well, you can hear them walking around and moving chairs. We did have one night where the boys above us didn’t respect the quiet time after 10pm and were having a party, they were stomping around and dancing and we could hear their conversations, I don’t like to be this person but I called the front desk because it was almost 2am and the guy went over right away! Overall, I’ve stayed in the units upstairs before and I’d definitely do that again but I don’t think I’ll be staying if it’s the lower units because of the nonexistent sound proofing
It was a wonderful getaway. We stayed with family and friends for 2 nights and loved everything about it—the room, the location, it’s a quiet place nestled in the mountains with a beautiful view. And most importantly, there are all the necessary shops and cafes with delicious coffee nearby. Highly recommend it!
We stayed here for 1 night for a girls get-a-way and it was perfect for what we needed it for. Beds were clean and comfortable, there was plenty of space. We did notice a few area's of improvement - the one shower did not get hot water and was out of the conditioner. The towels were really ratty and only a few were left for us. The bathroom doors once locked were tricky to unlock. A bit bare bones, but if you just need a home base and are not looking for luxury this place was perfect. You can hear the train at night, but ear plus are provided. Also, don't plan on using the hot tub on Sunday morning, as it will be closed for maintenance.
The house was very comfortable, clean. The check in and check out was smooth. The hot tub was very nice. The costumer service Julie was great. 5 stars
Cool places 😊
Great suite, perfect for our large family. Just disappointed that they only let one vehicle stay on the property.
all good
They constantly ran out of hot water, so we couldn’t take a shower. I sent an email to Kris but haven’t received a response.
The basecamp suites are always a great value. They are very clean and the check-in checkout process is super simple. The unit that we stayed in in was feeling pretty run down, not an issue for us as everything was clean.
Only complaint was that it was not quiet at all. We could hear everything in the condo above us. Not sure if they were overly loud, the walls/ceiling were poorly insulated or both
Our second time here. We stay for an appointment in Canmore, (rather than tourists), and it is a perfect base for us. Highly recommend, no matter your reason for visiting Canmore
Everything is great, they just need to improve thir cleanliness
Wonderful property for the price. Kitchen is so nice to have. Just wish it had a normal coffee pot or a Keurig!
This place is awesome. Very convenient to all necessities. Reasonable price. The suite is clean. Would love to recommend to families and friends.
Not enough parking
The sheets/pillowcases had lots of hair on them and were unclean when I arrived. I called the front desk and they were able to give me clean bedding. I specifically booked stay for the hot tub and wasn't told it was not working until the date I arrived and it wasn't fixed for the remainder of my trip (4 days/3 nights total). If I knew earlier I would have booked somewhere else. The train is right outside of the room and is VERY loud. They do provide ear plugs which is nice because they are definitely necessary if you want to sleep. I was on the bottom floor and the upstairs guests were quite loud during the evening and until around 1 am. Unlikely that I will stay here again. I have stayed at the Basecamp in Revelstoke and it was 10/10 amazing, the Canmore Basecamp was a completely different story.
The only thing is the fire detector is so close to the kitchen that it detects every smoke even from the bread toaster.
The room we stayed was great and everything was walkable with a great breakfast place around the corner. However we booked Basecamp and a room there for the hot tub.. we received a message about an hour before check-in saying it was down for maintenance. If we knew there was only one with no back up option or an alternative we would have booked a hotel or something more reliable that includes a hot
Too many stairs, not worth the price
Excellent
We enjoyed our stay at the Basecamp Resorts in Canmore. Beautiful room with lots of space. There was only one issue and that is that we could only have parking for 1 vehicles.
Great place for family vacation and very accessible. Easy check-in and check-out. Definitely recommendable! 👍
Walls and floors were very thin, made it very noisy. Could hear upstairs neighbors stomping around till late. Parking was not good, very small stalls. Toiletries were empty when we arrived. The staff on site were very prompt and attentive when we requested they be filled. Really overpriced for what we got.
Check in was super easy and the hotel has automated alerts to keep you informed. Parking spots match your room number so super easy. We were 207 which the door faces the middle of then chalets. View is great on both sides but the front is the street. Minimal noise if any with the windows closed. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need. Hot tub has a small heated change room but can get quite wet. Lots of spa towels in the bin when we went there, which is what most hotels struggle with. Easy location to get to will use this space again. Only downside if any is the front door is just frosted glass so little less privacy in the 2 bedroom suite (just the living room and kitchen anyways)
I don’t know about the hot tub because I didn’t use it and everything was very good. I liked the location of the accommodation and the neatness inside the accommodation the most. I’d like to visit again if I have a chance to come Canmore. A bit sad about that the TV at home wasn't connected to YouTube tho.
Property is noisy since there is a train track right next to the building. Stayed in a micro suite and it was loud since you can here everyone walking on the metal stairs. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and washer and dryer worked good
Really good stay. Stayed here twice now and communication is superb. Beds could do with being bigger but that’s a minor. Can’t recommend this place enough. 3 adults 2 children and plenty of space.
Everything was great; the only issue was the noise from the train tracks behind the property.
Liked everything about the property. One thing to note if you are brining dogs, I stayed on first floor and the room was a little too hot for my dog (malamute) even after turning off heating, had ac on max, and left the windows open but other wise, everything was great!
Great stay, highly recommend!!
Train is a bit loud but unavoidable. We did however get to see the holiday train from the kitchen.
Great stay
Nice view
Place was very clean, amazing mountain views and had everything we needed !!
Love that kitchen table!
Really great stay! Was easy to check in and out.
Great little condo unit with washer and dryer! Excellent for well behaved pets as you can hear a lot of people movement and talking outside of quiet hours. Train track directly behind property as most of the accommodations have as well. Great walking paths to everything.
Clean, quiet and safe.
Great place
Great studio apartment. Super clean, full kitchen, comfortable bed, washer and dryer in the suite. The studio was on the other side from the train tracks, so the train noise was not an issue.
It was a beautiful suite and an amazing stay!
Very nice
Very nice
20 feet away from the train track.
Our staff enjoyed staying here
Property is slightly outdated but the staff was very responsive and helpful
I was given an extra parking spot which was available to park my mate's car. I really appreciated the staff for this. Very friendly. Great weekend
Nice room, nice parking spot, very good stay
We loved our stay at Basecamp! Beautiful property with great accommodations and room for everyone! Large kitchen with big table perfect for playing games. Cozy rooms and very clean! Easy to walk all throughout Canmore! Would love to stay here again.
Very clean, but very warm inside
Very clean, easy check in and check out. Super hot in the room in the fall/early winter without the heat turned on. Bottom floor unit too! Two fans were supplied for my room, and I saw that multiple people had windows open as well to cool their units down. The hot tub, WHAT A VIEW! clean windows and very clean water. Definitely winter stay, summer… not a chance due to the heat. Was hard to keep it under 20.5 with window and fan running to suck in cool air.
Great family deal
It was a great stay for a family of 10 as the rooms are with decent size to accommodate seniors and adult teens and 1kid. Plenty of spaces. Open kitchen concept is great plus a huge dining table (8 seaters) and there are kitchen bar chairs to use as well. Living room has a sofa bed but no extra bed covers, pillows and blanket ready for use (other hotels I stayed in has these extras so you can use for the sofa bed, so I didn’t bring extra). There is laundry in site tho but we’re all packed up for the activities and adventures. It is closed to Banff, Moraine, Lake Louise and Johnston Canyon
The people above us was just really loud on our last day. I guess they don’t care about the “quiet time” policy.and wifi is a bit slow. Overall its good. Thanks!
We always stay in Basecamp whenever we go to Canmore.
Great place to stay
Nice place to stay
Comfy and cozy.
Nono
5 trains throughout nite; place needs upgraded door handles; needs paint; new furniture. Most of all it needs a good cleaning
Great budget-friendly property, has everything you need, would stay again
Its not a resort by any stretch of imagination. You park your outside and walk up to your unit. I think that's called a Motel. Our unit was too hot the entire four days we were there, we could hear our upstair neighbours all the time, and there is a freight train that right next to the bedroom separated by two rows of parking. Did not feel rested.
We had to stay here for a night after a big snow storm, got the room for a decent price however the place was filthy. It was like it wasn't even cleaned prior to our arrival, other than replacing clean towels. Chewed gum stuck to the headboard, doors and walls covered in dirty hand prints, dirty floors and the dining table had old food all over it. We just crashed for the night and left early only to get a message of them accusing us of stealing a duvet. Not sure how that's even possible but it's absolutely ridiculous. Do not recommend
Great hotel, easy checkin and they thought of all details to make the stay comfy. I will definitely stay there again.
Everything was great except if you stay on the ground floor, it can be noisy with the people staying above you. Kept us up very late.
Just love it
Property was good. The body wash dispenser was empty in the shower and could use more blankets for the beds. Otherwise great stay
Comfortable for just one night
Location is spot on. Enjoyed the hot tub
Property is suitable for our needs!
Loved the accomodation services provided. Got an upgrade from Micro studio to one bedroom suite which was impressive!! Highly recommended :)
Nice spot !
I love this hotel and will come back 1 day. everything is clean and have a wonderful stay with my family.
Very nice place to stay
Our stay was easy, from check-in to check-out. The assigned parking was much appreciated, and the unit itself had everything one would need. Plenty of room, a nice kitchen, comfortable bed, and a tv with a multitude of channels available. We completely enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again at this property.
Good experience
This property is right infront of train tracts. Train sound is too loud at night, loud enough not to sleep well. Also, the property is generally not clean. Found hairs washroom and bedroom area. Towels and bad sheets were very clean and the staff was promptly answered for inquiries.
The hot tub was really dirty, there were old bandaids and a lot of dirt inside and it only seems to get cleaned once a week which is definitely not enough. The units themselves were very clean and nice, just not super thrilled with the state of the hot tub considering that was the reason we chose this property to begin with.
Ok
We had some minor issues like dusty tower fans one not working, deadbolt wasn’t working and was fixed on our 3rd day, extra beddings for the sofabed were not in the room I have to pick them up from the front desk, molds in the corner of walk in shower rail, some towels are worn out. Nevertheless the suites are spacious and equipped perfect for a big family like ours. Parking is easy. We had a pleasant stay.
We've had a great experience at the Basecamp(Canmore). Close to convenient store and restaraunts. Very clean and cozy space. Highly recommended.
The condos themselves were great perfect for what we needed we had a few glitches upon checkin with one that was never resolved and the other was resolved the next day. The gentleman working the front desk was great and as helpful as he could be
Basecamp resorts are located in a great area. Close to downtown. The rooms were clean, staff were available to answer questions, and the rooms had pleanty of room for our family.
Good experience ! Highly recommend this property.
I’ve already stated what was wrong. We had to keep a window open all night and even then the temperature in our room was 23 C. Temperature outside was 4 C. Even with heat turned off the unit was still blowing out hot air !!!
