The activities are great and so is antonia, and all the staff are so friendly and professional, great music aswell
Such a relaxing hotel, everyone was polite and professional, an easy walk out to find all the bars and restaurants on your doorstep!
Enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo, area is nice, hotel, pool and amenities lovely. Also enjoyed breakfast/dinner would stay again.
The staff were friendly, the hotel was in a good location and the rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed using the spa and the hotel restaurant and sports bar served good food.
Adult only hotel in the heart of Costa Teguise
Nice adult only hotel right in the heart of Costa Teguise with easy access to the shops, bars, beach and walkway along the front. Well appointed, comfortable room. Good choice of food at breakfast and dinner.
Nice rooms, great location next to beach, friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, good facilities. A relaxing place to stay.
Fantastic
Amazing first stay at barcelo teguise beach! The infinity pool is amazing and the food was delicious with a good variety! We received a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite with a hot tub on the balcony and sea view which was fantastic for us the balcony was of a large size and the sunset views on a night were stunning! Would 100% recommend and we will be returning!
Perfect
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish
Great staff and great location
Staff were very good, especially Stefanie on reception. Hotel is in a great location. There was nothing wrong with the hotel but it just wasn't my vibe. Felt more like a city break hotel. Rooms felt quite clinical. I can see why others lie it but just wasn't for me.
Nice hotel, but won’t be returning. On check in I arranged a late check out, which I was told would cost EUR45. I agreed and was told to come to reception on last morning to have key card updated. I dutifully did this a receptionist updated my key card so i could access my room unless 1500. At 1230 receptionist called my room and told me i had to check out at 1200. I explained i had arranged late checkout and she put me on hold for three minutes, then came back i said I hadn’t paid. I said I hadn’t been asked to pay. Assumed I would say on check out. She said there was no record of it. I folder her I had spoken to reception about it twice. As I was walking to the pool a cleaner then began harassing me to leave. I told her as best I could, (she didn’t speak english and I don’t speak spanish) i was leaving at 3pm. At 2pm she hammered on my door and said something i did not understand but she indicated i needed to leave. At check out i told the receptionist the cleaner had thrown me out of my room. They did not charge me for the late check out, not as a gesture but because they had no record of it. Horrible experience. Ruined an otherwise relaxing trip.
The hotel is very conveniently located near the beach and close to the centre of Costa Teguise so can access the amenities. The staff went over and above with the service. It was especially lovely to be welcomed by Montserrat at meal times, felt like home away from home
Hotel is perfect
The staff were very good and helpful the food good but the configuration of the hotel was odd, it is on the sea front and is called a beach hotel but probably less than a third of the rooms had sea views and most had bad views and very dark rooms. I was lucky that a room was found for me after a couple of days. The bars are also in the wrong place and the restaurant, all facing the road of the hotel or facing inside and nothing faces the sea that is ever used. Disappointing.
This is the 6th occasion we have stopped at the hotel. On the whole was as expected although the WIFI was not working in champs bar with which told the staff in champs bar but was never rectified. Had to speak with reception staff and it was solved the following day. Though it was not as reliable as previous years. Often dropping out. Also the hot meals choice in the buffet restaurant did not appear to have the numbers with respect to variety from previous years.
Room was very basic small bedroom bathroom very dated, room could certainly do with an upgrade, certain areas of the hotel could do with a fresh lick of paint. Food at breakfast and evening meal was very good plenty of choice really good quality.
Overall the property was excellent as was the food and service. The only downside was our neighbours who were smoking weed most nights, which stopped us from using the balcony
Best all inclusive buffet with lots of variety each evening. Staff were friendly and service was good. Area was quiet. Good place for a relaxing week by the pool.
Excellent hôtel, kind welcome, very good food and very comfortable.
Very nice and comfortable stay
Really nice place but not enough sun beds. A better idea would also to use your card when ordering drinks as anyone can sign and use room no
Amazing hotel.
Beautiful hotel, room was clean, shower, hot tub were amazing. The food was delicious with plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Location was perfect. Although central we didn’t have any disturbances from outside. Well worth the money .. will most definitely return. 5 stars from me! 🌟
We struggled overall staying here and expected more of a 4 star hotel. Poor communication with issues not being resolved or passed on, meant that we were not able to use the hot tub on the balcony. It also took 3 days to sort out a faulty coffee machine in the room. We weren’t keen on the open plan bathroom either as you end up sleeping next to the shower, and wouldn’t choose that again. We paid for an upgrade and felt it really wasn’t worth even the original cost.
A lovely clean hotel with great facilities, helpful staff, lovely food and a huge choice of branded drinks, well worth ticking the boxes for all inclusive and a jacuzzi on your balcony.
Very friendly staff excellent food choice
Staff are absolutely brilliant. right from reception, servers, cleaners and maintenance. Very friendly, empathetic, helpful overall give staff 20/10 rating. They really go out of their way to ensure you have a good time. Food was also outstanding. Unfortunately not many Spanish dishes, which takes away from the experience. Area is lovely but be aware parking is in very short supply. Next time we will take the bus and not hire a car.
Lovely hotel for a restful holiday. The food is the highlight: delicious and excellent quality. Refreshing breeze keeps the pool area cool, plenty shade and comfy sunbeds. All the staff are very friendly.
Great hotel and a prime location for a quieter stay. Pool bar can get a little busy in the day, they could do with a second bar.
Great stay, really helpful staff and lovely service and location.
Strongly recomanded
More than ourstanding...strongly recomanded :-)! Thank you to all of them who surounded me and help for one wonderfull holiday :-)!
Great hotel for adults. The pool is excellent and lots of sun-beds. Food options and drinks are excellent with lots of options. Entertainment was okay, for us we just wanted a bit more, as it can get a little too quiet both during the day and evening
Sample excellent Staff excellent Room excellent
Fantastic hotel, amazing buffet, friendly staff/fabulous service, very clean, luxury rooms, all round great vibe with live poolside music/competitions, great location!
Really nice relaxing stay in a great location with excellent facilities. Greater attention to detail is required, for example hinges of doors were dusty as were numerous other things. I would also say the pool water quality isn't good very cloudy and the posted chemical reading are rather worrying.
Lovely atmosphere
We were greeted with a glass of Cava (soft drinks were also available). There was a bit of a hard sell to try to get us to upgrade to all inclusive. We refused this, even though the price was reduced twice. It ended up at €80/day, which is less than booking it up front. Disappointed that they also wanted to charge 3€ /day to use the room safe. We refused this also and then the receptionist gave us the key anyway. Our room 1018 (ground floor sea view) required some updating - the wallpaper is a little scruffy and the aircon didn't work (a major issue for me as i get v hot at night time). We were supplied with a fan and told there woukd be a swap available the next day. We had to keep the verandah window open, but slept ok and told recetion we'd stay put. The receptionust suggested we speak to the customer services manager about some form of recompense and she offered us All inclusive for the remaining 5 nights of our stay (we had booked half board) I have to say AI represents good value in this hotel - the drinks are all quality brands and you csn eat lunch in Champs bar or Breeze restaurant. There is also nice ice cream available too. Dinner is always in the buffet restsurant and has a variety of dishes and good deserts. Breakfast has a brilliant choice, including gluten free options. The staff are brilliant, they work very hard and are cheerful, especially Javier and Michel, who seem to work in all three dining areas and bars! Entertainment was good in the evenings
Fantastic hotel. So close to shops, restaurants and bars. Beautiful views of the sea. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were wonderful, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We opted for half board with breakfast and dinner included and the food was fantastic. Plenty of variety and dinner buffet changed every night. I’m vegetarian and never ate the same thing twice as so many options. We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend.
Great room with a nice balcony. Great location, hotel had its own exit to beach walkway. We had halfboard and it was well worth it. Food surprised us positively.
Amazing hotel full of friendly, down to earth staff. Perfect location in Costa Teguise with access to both the beachfront and restaurant areas. All inclusive would be the dream for most with a stunning pool area.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the room was clean, but the food really stood out, we opted for half board, lots of breakfast options available, a large selection of smoothies and juices, the food in the evening was always warm, with lots of good choice available, the cocktails were very well made in the lounge area. We ate in the restaurant for lunch too, and it was really enjoyable, quick service, with or without booking, even though this wasn’t included in our package, it was well worth paying for. There was always loungers available, and a nice quiet environment to relax
We had a fantastic stay with this hotel deserving of their 4 star rating. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink which was a lovely touch and then guided to our room. The room was spotless, with an enormous and comfy bed! Good sized pool, plenty of sun loungers but a small comment would be helpful to have a few more parasols. Food choice was excellent and fresh, with the kitchen staff really knowledgeable around allergies - and lots of gluten free options available which was great. Area around the hotel is calm and quiet with very accessible flat walking paths. Would definitely recommend a stay!
A great place to stay, if you want to chill out by the pool, and have a wide variety of high quality all-inclusive food and drink. The staff are very kind and friendly, and despite being quite busy try to be very attentive. The gym is very small though, which put me off using it.
Amazing hotel! The breakfast wasn’t overly great but that’s all the negatives! Staff were amazing and friendly and I had all my requests met! Amazing food in the champs and breeze bar! Shame the buffet wasn’t as good!
The rooms were amazing, lovely and quite I would definitely recommend.
Fantastic!
Beautiful island stay, lovely quiet and calm hotel. Area around the hotel is very touristy, almost like a strip. But there are a few nice restaurants, however recommend venturing to nearby villages. Hotel staff are very attentive and the breakfasts are brilliant.
Definitely come back!
Very lovely stay, comfy beds. Hot tub on the balcony was good. Good variety of AL, cocktails very nice. Quiet by the pool which was relaxing. Read some bad reviews before hand however definitely don’t agree with any of them. Staff were friendly, drinks served quickly. We both said we would definitely come back!.
Cant fault the hotel but it is rather a long way to bars & restaurants & shops. But they have a very good bus service. Would we stay there again YES
We had a great trip to Lanzarote. The weather was not always great but that did not stop us from making the most of it. The weekend days by the pool with the DJ and the drinks were really fun. All the staff made us feel super welcome. Tomas in particular made sure our glasses were always topped up.
Great stay
Really nice place! Absolutely worth a visit! The Air Con system in the rooms isn’t great.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room and facilities were cleaned and well kept. A good choice of various food in the restaurant. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and shops. The bus stops are nearby.
Fantastic short break without the kids
My Partner and I booked a 3 night stay at this hotel, what an amazing place! We had a room with a jacuzzi and sea view which we used every night, definitely had the wow factor, all nice and clean and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. The hotel grounds were well laid out with 2 pools that weren’t too busy and a nice temperature. We opted for all inclusive and we both were very impressed with the food. Breakfast was fantastic with a great range of food including a cook station where you can get omelettes and fired eggs. There were 3 restaurants where 2 off them you had access throughout the daytime where you just order food from a menu so it didn’t feel like the traditional buffet style which was nice. The “Breeze” restaurant was extremely high quality food although it wasn’t your typical food you would expect. The burgers here were a bit to posh which ruined them with a big block of goats cheese and the meat wasn’t what you expect from a burger, but with all inclusive it was great trying food that you wouldn’t normally try, the carbonara was delicious. The other restaurant “Sports Bar” was more bar style food such as ribs, chicken wings and skin on fries which also was delicious. The evening buffet restaurant was great with plenty of good food. If I was to have one criticism the staff were not that consistent, some were amazing with great service and others seemed not as happy to be at work. But this was ok and we will definitely be coming back 10/10
The property is well looked after. Two pools with sunbeds and parasols. Buffet breakfast was plentiful. Buffet dinner extremely varied. Meat, fish, salads. A great paella every night. Good selection (not for me) for vegans and gluten free so everyone catered for. Great staff. Friendly and welcoming.
Didn't live up to the description
Our room didn't live up to what was described. Maybe it was due for a refurb? Although it was clean the furnishings were stained, wallpaper peeling and towels not great quality.
The hotel itself is good, the rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are extremely comfortable. Most of the facilities are reasonably on-point though I can't speak for the spa area as it was closed for renovations. The area around the hotel is well catered to for eating, drinking and memento shopping. There are some caveats though. The staff are very much a mixed bag, some (especially the front-desk staff) are largely excellent, some of the bar/restaurant staff though? Very much not of the same calibre. One or two are genuinely friendly, but there's a lot of sullen attitudes prevalent. Since returning I gather there are some protests imminent regarding over-crowding - and I can totally understand why - we weren't there in a particularly peak period and it still felt congested at times. The dining restaurant (Breeze) is 'fine' but nothing remarkable. The buffet (Atlantic) is repetitive and invariably most of the food is already luke-warm by the time you get to it, and once loaded onto a cold plate? Not immensely palatable. We had hugely nicer dinners at the local restaurants instead of the hotel and would strongly advise anyone else visiting to do the same. Also, be prepared to buy a LOT of bottled water, the tap water is all but undrinkable! Also, the fridges in the rooms are second-rate at best, ours barely managed to get below 12C
Nice hotel in good location. Excellent food at the buffet restaurant and the pool bar. Stylish pool. Great staff. Only spoiled by (very loud) building noise on two of the days we stayed.
Sea view room excellent
The room with sea view and hot tub in the balcony is great, even though the balcony is a bit overlooked. We had half board, breakfast and dinner were very varied everyday, worth it. The pool and everything else excellent. The one thing that bothered me is that part of the staff were very rude, at the pool bar, breakfast and twice at the sports bar. There ate plenty of restaurants and bars around the hotel.
Satisfactory stay.
Very good location. Breakfast good also. Room small, especially the shower and toilet area.
Third stay here. Excellent hotel. Staff lovely, food great.
Lovely and peaceful
Staff very attentive, lovely peaceful hotel, incredible food options every night, very accessible to the local area and beach, only 20 minutes from the airport.
Why stay anywhere else
Great team from Rec, housekeeping to restaurant. Smiles everywhere. Each are of the hotel is spotless, location is perfect with all facilities from bike renting to the beach, on your door step. I had half board and the food options were great and muy rico!
Lovely cocktail lounge, the customer experience manager was super helpful.
Could have been cleaner. Barceló seemed very short of staff. However, those staff who were there, in the B Lounge and the restaurant were excellent. Not so in the daytime bar. Tables not cleared quick enough on restaurant, so queues to eat. Plates and cutlery were dirty the food was nice and lots of choice, although it ran out quickly. Lots of different breads and breakfast options cooked while you watch. The main pool area not very clean and weirdly designed - just a rectangular pool like at your local baths - with palm trees lining it, which block out the sun for sunbathing. The other pool area is in the shade most of the time. Rooms designed strangely with the glass shower cubicle inside the bedroom, so you need to be on friendly terms with whoever you’re sharing a room with! Some rooms have a hot tub inside the bedroom. The sink is small and, again in the bedroom - and the wardrobe is tiny. Location is good - lots of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Badged as a four star but more like a three and not worth the extra cost IMO.
Really nice hotel with fantastic staff great food,we opted for an all inclusive package this is our first time ever doing this after 40 odd years of travelling all over the world we thought let’s give it a try and for the six days we were there we found the food really good lots of choices and it made a pleasant change from having to find somewhere to eat each night ,could we do it for longer than six days probably not .our room was a delux room with hot tub it was a nice room but strange layout having the bathroom sink in the room was very strange but the beds were fantastic only negative thing I could think of was charging 3 euros a night to use the safe is not what we would expect a four star hotel to do .
The hotel was clean, friendly, food and drinks were amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the pool was refreshing and clean.Would definitely come back.
Overall the property is good. Some of the exterior can do with a touch up. Our shower cubicle leaked as the door didn’t meet. It wasn’t a huge problem but the shower doors should be checked regularly. The chef was brilliant. He made dairy and nut free dishes specifically for me, which was really appreciated. Overall service from staff was great.
Lovely chilled stay.
Great staff
The staff was wonderful. The room had a great view. Small details were is what keeps this from being 5 stars. The shower ceiling had been painted over due to unrepaired damage. The door did not open without force and needed repairs. At the buffett, the dishes were always dirty (every 3rd or 4th plate clean).
Upon arrival, the hotel looks stunning with two swimming pools and Barcelo Teguise Beach, like Barcelo Lanzarote Active, being a resort. You can choose from several restaurants and bars just within the hotel. There’s an ATM and car hire rental in the lobby too. Food and drink prices (if not included in your package) are a little on the expensive side, but the food quality is outstanding. The breakfast buffet is amazing with cava provided free of charge. They also had food from all over the world, both hot and cold. I particularly liked the pastries and fresh fruit. The rooms are stunning – you get a Lavazza machine, kettle, plenty of toiletries which is handy if you forgot to pack some, a TV with plenty of UK channels, a large comfortable bed, and some free water bottles to get you started. The Wi-Fi is a little slow but fast enough for video calling. Being adults only, all guests must be aged 18 or over. The room was a good size with a nice desk, balcony, plenty of storage space, a safe, and fridge/mini-bar – which I would avoid using as there are plenty of bars and supermarkets in the area that sell drinks at a fraction of the price! The only thing that some people might not like is there is NO separate bathroom. The sink is outside in the room. The toilet is closed off, and so is the shower, but you can see through the top and bottom parts of it. Of course, if you’re on your own, it makes no difference, but it might be uncomfortable if sharing with someone you don’t know
Lovely hotel, right in the front and bars, restaurants and shops within one minute walk. The sun beds are too closely packed in around the pools and people reserve them very early. Good food and drinks, staff really good.
Very friendly staff firstly. Room was lovely and the jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the sea was sublime. We did the All inclusive upgrade and it was very much All Inclusive! Hardly anything excluded. Even lunch wasnt the usual reduced buffet style but an a la carte menu, again nothing excluded. Will be back
Exceptional
The hotel was perfect. Perfect location, perfect environment, perfect staff, perfect choice of food, drinks and entertainment. When i arrived i received a very warm welcome from the staff at the reception. I then got shown my room by a bell boy, upon which my luggage was also taken. There was a variety of different bar and restaurants within the hotel, during the day and evening. The hotel is situated right next to the beach and other bars and restaurants as well as entertainment during the day and night. It is also close to shops of all different kinds. It is very close to places to visit such as the aquarium and a museum. It is a very central place full of different things to do as well a very peaceful and tranquil, excellent also if you are traveling solo, like i was.
The hotel was good. Some staff were absolutely fantastic. Some would
Excellent services provided from everyone, from the receptionist (particularly Stefania) to the restaurant staff, always helpful, nice and professional. Very comfortable beds, amazing views from the room balcony (I get the front ocean view). A memorable visit.
I liked everything from service to quality of food and location
It was the best stay ever, the service excellent, the food was every day fresh and different, the music very calm and relaxing, every day room services,... just amazing.
Awesome Hotel. Nicely designed, on the walking and beach trails, shopping and dining. Was on 1/2 Board - go a chance to eat at the hotel and then also explore the nearby restaurants. Very close to Major Bus pick up points, went on Get Your Guide - tours of the island and the Rancho Texas which picked up at the bus stop. Overall would go back, it was very great. Pool was very comfortable as well.
Had a very nice stay. Hotel has been well looked after and is in good condition and clean.
Beautiful Room with ocean view and varanda!!!
Property is fairly decent with friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent entertainment and activities. Nice swimming pools, really close to the beach and shops It was odd that on a half board option, dinner didn’t come with a non alcohol drink or even water at least The tableware (plates, cutlery and tumblers) were not always at cleaned to top standards (the odd food residue here and there), you had to pay attention to each item before picking it up. Overall a good accommodation to relax and unwind in
Great hotel. The staff were superb; always friendly and enthusiastic. Great child-free, peaceful, break away.
Great Staff & Service. Excellent food choice
The food was the highlight of my stay. The lunches in the Breeze restaurant were the standouts while I didn’t enjoy the food in the Champs sports bar as the portions were huge and quiet stodgy. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and mine had a hot tub on the balcony. I found all the staff very friendly and helpful but in some areas they were stretched and there was a long wait for pool/dinner drinks or to be seated for lunch. I liked how easy it was to find shade from the midday sun by the pool with plenty of umbrellas, trees and shaded sun beds. There was a consistent wind across the pool which was refreshing but worth bringing pegs to keep your towel from blowing away (lost my book mark to a burst of wind). I used the spa facilities and got a facial which was excellent. Left feeling very relaxed, refreshed and recharged. Will be back in the future.
I stayed here for 9 days. It was tranquil, friendly and clean. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I would definately revisit.
Put in room overlooking trash bins then the aircon broke down put in another room where the door lock stopped working so wasnt a great start to our stay got fixed the follwing morning then things were ok after that
Was such a nice holiday, hotel staff were all friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend
Excelente
Great location and excellent facilities. Being able to visit the sports bar and order freshly cooked dishes, for example, is a nice touch. My only gripe, and this is basically all "modern" hotels, is with the bathroom arrangement in the room. It's like all of the world's bathroom designers got together and decided to make the least private, overly complicated arrangement for loo/shower facilities rather than just build a proper bathroom and put a door and lock. Nobody needs to see/hear you shower or do other things..!!
Beds are big and comfortable. Swimming pool was quite cold. Close to everything
really warm welcome from all staff and excellent facilities, food and wine
Excellent location, facilities, friendly and helpful staff. The beach, bars and shops are within easy walking distance. The evening meal had plenty of options but was a little hit and miss. The hot tub in the room was glorious. Excellent hotel with fantastic customer service.
This is a great hotel, conveniently situated for shops, restaurants and excursions. The staff were exceptional, the meals superb and the hotel campus very clean and well maintained. Major issue I have is that the staff and management should forbid lounger reserving at the pool. It should be stopped!
The hotel was amazing, there was a lot of variety of food to choose, hotel and surrounding area very clean and all staff very friendly,
A great stay at the Barcelo Teguise Beach. The staff were friendly, helpful and gave great service. Our room was good and we particularly enjoyed the sea view and the morning sunrise from our balcony as we did lying around the main pool area whether were plentiful beds. The hotel is a good location a short walk to the beach, several bars and wide range of restaurants. All in all a good place for a winter break in the sun and somewhere we will go back to.
not great if vegetarian for dinner
terrible vegetarian options at dinner - sign says speak to the chef, who shrugged his shoulders and spoke to two other sets of vegetarians who were also equally disappointed, given how extensive the buffet is. breakfast buffet is excellent, however
What can I say Barcelo Hotel in Costa Teguise. Absolutely the best, from the room, to the food, to the excellent customer service, I highly recommend this jewel of a place
Great hotel
We had a great holiday, the hotel has a great location beside all amenities, and we particularly enjoyed the beaches. The hotel itself is very well laid out, immaculately maintained, and all staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Overall the hotel was very good, the pool was freezing and not heated as suggested, but it was clean and well maintained. All staff friendly and helpful and the food was always fresh and well prepared as well as varied. We had a problem with the air conditioning unit leaking in the room, maintenance tried to fix but ceiling still stopped shower door opening. Just one of those things. Hotel experience lady arranged a new room straight away, very helpful and professional.
A lovely Christmas Holiday!
Overall we had a lovely stay. The location is very central and plenty to do outside of the hotel. The hotel is lovely, staff outstanding, and overall the food was very good in all areas with Breezes and Champs standing out. Dinner in the buffet restaurant could have been organised better. There should dedicated areas for people who have allergies and intolerances. I.e. gluten free, vegetarian, vegan etc. The dishes were not marked clearly therefore any nut allergies / intolerances were unknown. A few servers / cooks were cross contaminating the food with their hands and spatulas. Whilst their was an area for breakfast for gluten free and vegetarian, there was not for dinner.

Very clean and tidy, perfect way to relax
