Car damage

After paying 17 E a day for parking I returned and found damage from the car next to me !!

A 5 star is a category hotels must earn with great facilities and remarkably excellent customer service and attention to every detail. Unfortunately, Barcelo Oviedo Cervantes lacks what it takes to deserve a 5 star. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show at the bar (the only one at the hotel) to take our order. The food came back to us cold. The alarm started to sound one night at around midnight; it woke up everybody, and the loud sound did not stop for about 20 minutes. No explanation given. Nothing of that sort. At reception, the courtesy water station with cold water infused with mint lacked glasses. Not once, but twice. The breakfast was good, but not good enough for a 5 star hotel. Our superior room was good. What we most regret is the lack of friendliness and courtesy of a staff virtually uninterested in making a good impression. On the contrary. The reality is that something is off with Barcelo Oviedo Cervantes. The amazing kindness of the people of Oviedo we that we encountered and enjoyed every day was completely absent from the staff of this hotel. It is unfortunate. Our experience at other Barcelo hotels (in Istanbul, for instance) was remarkably superior. As said, Barcelo Oviedo Cervantes is more like a well appointed 3 star hotel with a staff that does not live the meaning of hospitality. We will not come back to this hotel. To Oviedo? Of course!

Excellent property, located in a quiet neighborhood wherebyou can find delicious restaurants/bars, stores, anything you may need. Rooms very good and beds are very comfortable

Oviedo

Large room with Juliet balcony on front side facing busy street in nice neighborhood, old town 15 minute walk thru pretty park. Neighborhood lively with plenty of restaurants and coffee places. Desk staff efficient, pretty decor, beds comfortable, amenities in room adequate. Parking available for reasonable rate but garage is tight getting in and out of by American standards. Very pleasant place to stay with reasonable rates

The property is very well located, just over 1 km from the historic center of Oviedo, making it a very pleasant walk.

Good location and facilities. We parked downstairs during the stay. Easy to get into town walking. Accommodating staff. Rooms were a good size and clean.

Great stay great staff facilities and service. Beds were very comfortable. We slept like babies. Very well kept and maintained property. I will stay here again.

Our stay was amazing, staf was very helpful and friendly. Room very spacious and clean. Alain was excellent and went above and beyond to help us. We really recommend this hotel

A relaxing break

We used this hotel at the end of a 10-day hiking trip & felt very comfortable during our two-night stay. All contact with staff was excellent.

Es un lugar muy acogedor y me gusto su decoracion asi como las habitaciones. y tiene muchos huespedes y vida! La fachada es muy bonita y la atencion del personal es excelente. Delicioso desayuno..Ubicacion excelente , muchos restaurants y tiendas cerca.

Hotel in beautiful building, although the rooms don’t have the same ‘grandeur’. The rooms are large though and everything you want is in walking distance. I wasn’t impressed with breakfast. Even if you’re not a late sleeper some dishes are empty and aren’t refilled. Warm dishes aren’t really kept warm. For the price there are probably better options outside.

Questo hotel lo ho scelto a seguito di aver provato la Barceló compagnia a Madrid. Davvero impeccabile. Gentilezza alla reception, stanze spaziose con tutto a disposizione e colazione super con tante opzioni senza glutine e senza lattosio. Magari sarebbe meglio dare un cestino con tutto quando si chiede piuttosto che scegliere dal cassetto. Grazie mille! Ritornerò sicuramente per le mie trasferte!
