The resort was spectacular!! The ocean view room was amazing, waking up to the sunrise everyday. The spa area is great and the pool and infinity view are amazing. The staff was stupendous, they helped with anything that was needed. Rooms were very clean. The buffet breakfast was great. Overall experience was one of the best I have had in my travels!!

The hotel where the sunrise was great.

It was located about 30 minutes away from the center of the city, so I was able to relax quietly and comfortably. Breakfast is very delicious and sunrise is also cool. Check the departure time and admire the wonderful appearance. I want to visit again.

Only stayed for a night in a suite with sea view and private hot tub but it was amazing and the staff were so lovely during our stay :)

Lovely hotel in a beautiful spot on the water. Nice pool area with plenty of sun beds. Quiet area. Good selection for breakfast. Lunch wasn’t as good (avoid the Caesar salad - is fried chicken and soggy iceberg). A few good restaurants within walking distance. Only 20 mins from airport and Palma Old town.

Really enjoyed my stay. The staff were all so sweet and helpful, always smiling. Loved my room, so clean, fresh, comfortable. Had the half board which was pretty good with lots of options.. Breakfast has lots of options. No chance to go hungry.

Illetas Albatros - Adult Only

We stayed at the Hotel for one week. Our room was very clean and supplied with mini-bar, safe, and additional toiletries etc to make are stay more comfortable. The only criticism was that we did not have enough space for some of our clothes so had to keep them inside the suitcase.

1/2 the staff was nice the other not so nice. Do not got to the buffet at night awfull. They actually told they don’t work for tips. So if you ask for something and of course want to tip them afterwards you won’t get it. Very rude !!!

Excellent stay

Great stay; super relaxed hotel and high quality. Convenient for Palma, and in a nice neighbourhood with some good places to eat nearby (walkable).

Room was great, good size for a 3 night stay. Hotel dining options were really good, food was lovely. Buffet breakfast also great. Loved our stay - will likely come back again next year!

Relaxing and comfortable break.

Fantastic 2 night stay. Hotel 8s clean and well organised, pretty empty in this low season. Only issue was a noisy couple next door, the hotel manager sent up a bottle of Cava as an apology. It wasnt his fault! So greatly appreciated. Thanks, we'll be back.

The area is amazing, short walks to beautiful public beaches, restaurants etc.The rooms with the hot tub’s overlooking the ocean are worth every penny!

Everything was very pleasant

For four stars it was extremely lound in the hotel room. Very annoying, the hole morning you can hear every single room door smashing like it was in your room and even bags etc and walking people in flip flops. Also transport is not as good as somewhere else. So I used mainly taxi which is rather expensive. Staff on the other hand was competent and friendly, also the location itself is nice.

Lovely pool, but otherwise an ok property.

Friendly and helpful check in staff. Lovely pool area with beautiful direct sea view. Good breakfast selection, although little to no interaction from restaurant staff. Rooms modern but not to my taste. Air conditioning poor - had to request a fan. Overall not bad, but wouldn’t necessarily return.

WELL NEEDED WEEK

Definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for adult only accommodation. Lovely setting, pool area great plenty of sunbeds and staff super friendly. Rooms are not the biggest but bed size amazing and everything you would need in the room is there.

What a nice surprise!

It was brilliant, a nice surprise. I know the resort very well but had never stayed at h to us hotel in 45 years and actually thought I’d booked a different hotel!! Very Comfy big beds, super clean room, powerful hairdryer in airy well appointed bedroom. Great breakfast, very fresh. Overall atmosphere was very laid back. Loved it and would definitely return

Shame missed opportunity

Service at the pool bar, not particularly great, but what let his place down was the food. Appalling. I lost count of the people returning food to the waiter. Had lunch with my son there, would not eat there again. Breakfast was also adequate. Shame really, good spot and nice facilities and clean too. Just eat somewhere else.

The staff and view were great

Our air conditioning did not work. The meals are all buffet style, food was average. View was beautiful. They have a nice swimming area if you wish to go into the sea.

Great service and nice hotel

We loved our stay, 5 nights and we thought the service was excellent. My only negative (this is purely preference) was that the pool is salt water.

The view of the sea was amazing. We liked having private access to the sea. The back side of the hotel is secluded. But the front is on a street with a lot of walkable options. So the best of both worlds. Room was a little on the small side, but from a US point of view, everything in Europe is small. LOL. The food was good. Plenty of options. My only nitpick is that we had half board. For breakfast, we didn’t have to pay for drinks. But for dinner, we did. Even water! I don’t understand that. Overall, I’d stay here again.

Definately not worth the price

Und Hotel which is renovated to a superficial 4 Star Standard. service is only superseded in its terribleness by the quality of food. room service is slow. spa was dirty and especially the steam room smelled awful. As for the room, we had booked the private Jacuzzi room which In all fairness was ok except that the cleaning staff where pretty rude and the Jacuzzi was not cleaned properly every day. If u can go to this hotel cheap, it's worth it. Otherwise don't overpay like I did.

Hotel in great location in Illetes!

Friendly helpful staff. Room was comfortable with a sea view but no balcony. Great views from the terrace and comfortable lounge area. Hotel arranged chauffeured car to and from airport which was great and hassle free.

Serene and Well Maintained

We had a great stay at the Barcelo Albatross! Very nice and peaceful hotel about 15 minutes outside of Palma, and close to other beaches and free parking. Rooms were nice, but beds were a bit firm for our liking.

Lovely place and great vibe

Overall very nice hotel with a great couple feel about it. Very chilled. Only problems really stem from likely being understaffed. Check-in was long, and getting different pillows took a day and half to achieve. Maid service not great either ... Shampoo's not replaced, chips not washed etc

Had a lovely stay. Breakfast really good, sky bar lovely. The only issue was that at 6.30pm the only place to get a drink was at the pool bar- not ideal if you’re showered and dressed for the evening, so ended up having to go over the road for drinks whilst we waited for the rest of our large group- hotels loss!!

Beautiful hotel and facilities

I and my husband came here on honeymoon, we had a great time, food and staff were amazing. It was unfortunate that the outdoor pool was closed but the indoor pool and jacuzzi were lovely, could have been warmer but still lovely. I think they had new staff at reception during our stay as the lady who dealt with us often needed help but they still offered impeccable service.

Off season rejuvenation getaway

Reception staff was always welcoming and professional. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, seaview was gorgeous! Breakfast and dinner buffet was plentiful, delicious and with a lot of selection. Enjoyed a masasage with a seaview...Only downsides is the water temperature in the spa could be a lot warmer, the private beach is small and rocky and the outdoor pool or at least the outdoor jacuzzi could be opened during the off season. We will definitely stay again! Thanks!

February weekend getaway

Weekend break. Really friendly and helpful staff throughout. Easy bus or taxi link to Palma centre. Lovely views out over the bay and quiet local area. Room had everything you needed and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast great. Bar was quiet as out of main season but musical entertainment still provided . Would happily recommend and return

Lovely hotel

The most warm welcome ever on arrival included a glass of champagne too. The hotel boast cleanliness. Nothing looked worn or dates. The room was perfectly clean. Could choose type of pillows and room fresheners for your comfort. Amazing! Food was superb.staff friendly and attentive and professional. Would love to stay again Close to Palma. We used the bus service which was so easy

Over priced for what it is

The standard room view is the windows of the adjacent building. Zero privacy if you leave the windows open no matter what floor you are on. Food is not worth it. If you are hungry, it will do but I recon for the same amount of money you can have much better quality food outside .

Great place for a short stay.

Reception was faultless; beautiful sea view from our room. Tasteful decor. Did bed and breakfast but lunch snacks great in hotel.. Good tapas restaurant just across the street otherwise fantastic Italian restaurants a short taxi drive away (just ask the driver where). Maintenance to be praised. Bed so big I couldn't find my wife!

Stylish hotel with very helpful staff.

Smart hotel. Bedrooms cool and comfortable, balcony on superior room had limited sea view but not really an issue. Restaurants all had sea views. Staff very helpful, particularly as my daughter is gluten intolerant, they provided bread and pastries. Pool is fab, spotlessly clean, only drawback the loungers are uncomfortable. Breakfasts excellent, wide choice, half board evening meal ok. Black restaurant fantastic food, only ate there last night but a reduction for hug board guests. Bus into Palma just outside hotel €1.50.

Very modern design and layout, excellent service.

Wanted a resort-style place allowing relaxation in-room as well as in-house; but also with access to the city (Palma). Delighted on all counts. Particularly liked coming back from tapas bar in the city (on local bus) after midnight then getting a cocktail in the roof-top bar with great views on a very warm evening.

Nice Hotel Ideal for a short break

Good value for money hotel. Buffett of an evening if great value for 19Euros and gave a glass of Bubbles nice touch. Staff vary in ability greatly to very attentive, listen get things right, to incompetent forget orders or request. Cabanas at the pool 60 Euros with drink, fruit very nice but we booked them for a few days and one we had had rubbish between the cushions and underneath from the day before. Steps into the sea from their outside area need cleaning very slippy and one missing one man hurt his foot, my partner hurt his toe slipping of it as very rocky below. The small beach is cute but could do with the sand being raked over and more adding to it.

Great views, but average experience

The best thing was a 180 degree sea view we had from our balcony, apart from that the experience was average: the room wasnt ready when we arrived, although it was past check-in time, so we had to wait and no compensation was offered, however at the check-out we were asked to leave at 12 promptly. The room was lacking some furniture - no desk or bedside tables. Breakfast was very poor even in comparison to 3 star hotel we stayed the night before, long queues for omlet, no table service. Spa fasilities were a bit of a disappointment - didnt look pretty, not comfortable, so we only used it once. Annoying to have to exchange vouchers for the pool towels and back. Had to pay extra for parking. Good things- free wifi, frendly staff, glass of Cava on arrival, nice neighbourhood.

First class boutique hotel

Had a great room on 6th floor over looking the sea. Very friendly staff and beautiful clean hotel. Nice area but on the Palma bus route that costs 1.50 euros every 10 mins. 15 min walk to sandy beach with great beach club.

Great adults only hotel.

Great break in a lovely sea view room. Giant comfortable bed and sumptuous bedding. Hotel was half an hour bus ride from central Palma, further than the ten minutes expected but it is in a beautiful location. Only major difficulty was the bathroom didn't have its own door so no privacy, just not our thing. Staff were all excellent, helpful, warm and professional. Breakfast lovely.

Hotel great, restaurant poor

The location, although VERY quiet out of season was great for us and our room 404 on the front of the hotel had a great view - although you have to pay extra for it. The room itself was modern, clean and fairly spacious although there was nowhere to put anything other than in the wardrobe. There was no shelving, no dressing table or even a shelf to put your 'bits and pieces' on which was a problem. We liked the open plan bathroom and the shower was great, but no where to put your toiletries, the sink unit was small, there wasn't even a hook to hang your wash bags. Now to the restaurant - in a nutshell awful! We had booked half board but after a few nights of food that at best was served 'Luke warm' we cancelled our dinner bookings and chose to eat out instead. The duty manager did ask to speak to us, but would not accept that there was a problem and indeed made us feel very bad for even suggesting it. Breakfast was ok, but again the hot food was not hot and the 'egg chef' had an extremely bad attitude. We were also very disappointed to have to pay extra for car parking - 15 euros per day although we managed to get this down a little. The cost for the duration of our stay was more than the cost of our car hire! To sum up, the hotel itself is lovely, great location, the welcome on check in was great, the room very nice, the bar totally lacked in atmosphere & entertainment poor, restaurant awful.

Fantastic hot bath tub

Although I stayed for just a night with my fianc, the hotel prepared CAVA sparkling wine and chocolate cake for celebrating our honeymoon. I would like to say that I really appreciate it. The hot bath tub(Jacuzzi) which I can see the beautiful view of sea was really nice. Besides, it is in private place and cozy & warm especially like in this cold winter season. If you want to go to Mallorca in winter, I would recommend you this hotel.

Could do better as a 4 star hotel

Nice hotel generally, however the staff albeit they were very nice could of been better organised in the restaurant particularly at breakfast - every day was an ordeal to find enough T pots, T bags and cutlery and in the evening the nicer deserts ran out early - we mentioned this to the reception and the manager did make an appearance the following day On our checkout day, following on from the evening buffet the night before I had terrible diahoreah and had to face the flight home (frightening predicament), I was so dehydrated that I passed out the airport after checking in my luggage, the emergency doctors were called (superb response) and I was taken to the medical centre where they had to inject medicine and fluids into me - fortunately we had 2 hours until our flight and the doctor felt there was enough time to treat me and put me in the plane without having to off load luggage - it was the worst flight I have ever been on as I was feeling so poorly - the only saving grace was the airport staff and Doctors in Palma

Quiet location, excellent staff, stunning views.

This hotel is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away. The staff were excellent and always polite. The food was lovely with a good choice at the buffet for breakfast and dinner. Views from our room (101) were amazing. We had a hot tub on the balcony which was more of a jacuzzi bath but great. The spa is quite small and bd and quite crowded quickly but was ok. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Hotel

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is a lovely hotel with a restaurant near the pool and the restaurant where you have breakfast and evening meal overlooks the ocean with seating outside. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Illetas is a lovely quiet resort. The only thing I would mention is that there are no drawers in the rooms and it would be handy if there was a place to store your "smalls". Also if the music was better on the rooftop terrace I think it would encourage people to go up there and enjoy it. Otherwise I just can't fault the hotel.

Excellent can be pricy

Great hotel helpful staff quiet location easy to get to fom the airport via bus or taxi there is a nice small beach less than a mile away only a short bus ride on the no3 bus to Porto pic shopping Center. I opted for half board great buffet but not alway food I liked but was good value lot of seafood on the menu

Celebration

We stayed here for our 55th wedding anniversary. The hotel was very kind and gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate. The hotel staff were very helpful especially the reception staff who always had a friendly nature.

staff and accommodation excellent. only comment from my wife is for lack of storage space in the room. Otherwise excellent. Being an adult hotel we found that meant mostly young couples rather than pensioners.

Staff at the hotel were very helpful and arranged any excursions we wanted to go on. Room was quite small but comfortable and clean. More suited for a relaxing holiday however bars/clubs are about a 10 minute taxi drive away. There is a beach about a 25 minute walk from the hotel and Palma beach is about a 15 minute drive. Great holiday

Nice hotel in good location.

Has a great stay however for the beach lovers you may have to consider local beaches as the hotel beach only accommodates 8 beds. Cooked breakfast was always cold but otherwise good choice.

Lovely hotel, great holiday

This is a really nice hotel in a quiet location but only 20mins from Palma. Pros - pool, proximity to sea, refurbished rooms (although need drawer space), a few good restaurants within walking distance & helpful staff. Cons - our room wasn't ready & we were offered an alternative but both were old style and small. Thanks to the helpful receptionist we ended up in one of the refurbished & more spacious rooms. The Spa was a disappointment as it is underground making the pool area dark and unwelcoming. We also booked treatments; however these were cancelled on the day due to staff issues & we were unable to reschedule - we did receive a fruit bowl & chilled bottle of Cava as an apology.....a nice touch which was appreciated.

We had a lovely holiday at the Albatros . The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was several areas to sunbathe and we loved the beach although it was very stoney getting into the water. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A very enjoyable experience.

We just came back from our holiday where we stayed 10 days at this hotel.First of all the room is not like in the picture,we had booked a superior double room where we thought we are going to have a balcony and a nice bathroom and a nice room but the bathroom is very old and smells,it didn't look like a four star hotel at all,the towels weren't so clean or soft they were a greyish colour,we didn't have a balcony,the fridge didn't work properly.On our stay the sheets were changed only once in ten day days,they didn't refill the sugar,shampoo or shower gel every day.If you want to use the beds in the pool area you have to rent them for at least 50 euros which should be free for the guests.they have parking spaces available but you have to pay 15 euros a day if you want to use it and we had to go and park somewhere else. They didn't make us feel like we stayed at a four star hotel they charge you for everything,even to weigh your luggage you have to pay one euro.Please be aware that the good reviews are only for their very expensive rooms.we would not go back ever again to that hotel

Prepare to pay for everything

We stayed in a junior suite (room 305) and it was fantastic. Lovely sea view, super kingsize bed, two sofas, wraparound balcony with a table and two chairs and a separate bath and shower. The pool area had plenty of sunbeds and the a la carte restaurant and rooftop bar were good. Breakfast was the usual buffet fare and perfectly good. However, there was no kettle in the room, only a Nespresso machine, which cost 4 Euros per capsule. You could get hot water from it if you had your own teabags, but the milk was given only sparingly. Equally, we received two very welcome bottles of water when we arrived, but from then on all water had to be paid for; and polite notes were placed on the loungers, reminding guests not to consume their own drinks round the pool. Parking was 15 Euros per night. So, a great hotel in a good location (10 mins by taxi, 25 by bus from Palma) - and we'd definitely recommend a junior suite - but we felt a little peeved at having to pay for things we'd normally expect to get free.
