We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was really good. The rooms were really nice but there was a foul smell if you didn’t keep the window open. The boutique shop was very expensive.

This property is perfect for a relaxing stay away. The staff are all very friendly and during our stay (mid-Sep) there were plenty of sunloungers at the beach and the pool. There is a lovely spa availaible on site. The buffet was fine but i would not say it was 5 star quality. The other restaurant was also closed so there were no other options except to drive or take a taxi into Ermioni (about 10mins away). The all inclusive only had the buffet as an option which was slightly disappointing. The only evening bar, that wasnt the restaurant, was not included in the all inclusive deal, which meangt nobody went there and resulted in there not being a great atmosphere in the evenings. We ended up driving elsewhere, which is not always what you anticipate when go all inclusive. A very relaxing hotel but ensure you have a car to explore the nearby towns of ermioni, galatas, potos and hydra. All worth visiting.

Room was good, facilities great. Food excellent. Location on beach great. Front of desk staff could be improved. They were not particularly helpful or friendly.

Could be better

This does not feel like a 5* hotel, with very basic rooms and some frustratingly easy things to just get right being ignored. I was with my husband and 3 teenage girls. The evening entertainment was ok but the girls were quite bored. Rooms are perfectly functional and big, but lack any character- bare walls and characterless furniture. There is nothing in the minbar (even though we were all inclusive) and the girls were constantly running out of shampoo and conditioner which was not being topped up. Paying for drinks in the only bar open with any entertainment was unexpected- nothing available as part of all inclusive. Pool is salt water which is a shame, but not the end of the world. Lots of smaller children so pool noisy. Food was unimaginative and same-y and not all coffee machines working in the morning. Juice from machines tastes like squash. On the plus side the staff were generally good and the gardens etc very pretty. Like I said, most of these things are so easy to put right, and have been repeatedly raised as issues on various platforms! Put these right and it will be a good value venue.

They charge extra for iced coffee, even if you paid for the all inclusive. They wouldn’t let us stay for lunch after checkout, even though we hadn’t eaten lunch upon arrival We were waiting for over 30 mins for the car to help with the luggage, but it never came :(

Barcelo is a beautiful waterside resort that has its own private beaches and wonderful views. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are best in class. A truly wonderful resort. Special shout-out to Sylvia and Sofia for their wonderful work

This is a very nice resort and my two boys, our nanny and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Its worth the money

The Barcelo is a renovated older hotel with a nice beach, The rooms do not have screens so you can not use the balcony properly without risk of letting in bugs into the room. the rooms are medium sized but well kept. I would give the Barcelo a 4 star rating but good enough for the price. The food is good with many options including 3 wine options. The staff is international and very professional and hard working.

Great location and clean well maintained hotel. However the food was not 5 stars level - not worth going full board, much better to eat in the nearby tavernas accessible by car.

Great vacation place!

This is a great vacation place! The check in was rough as they could not find our reservation in the computer, but it got finally resolved. We were also surprised that “all inclusive” did not cover “premier selections” at all locations, or at the beach bar and Byblos restaurant. Having said that, the selection of food at the regular buffet was amazing, and we did not really miss having other options. The staff was generally very, very nice and helpful (with only some very isolated exceptions). The animation team was impressive, a crew of young, energetic and passionate people that managed the activities at the pool or sports during the day, and also produced a very good show every night. We really enjoyed our vacation at the Barcelo Beach Resort In Ermioni, Greece.

Excellent location and very helpful and pleasant staff in all areas. The food was of a high standard and quality, although the variety could be more varied. The rooms were clean and well serviced. A coffee/tea making facility in the room would be appreciated. The Spa retreat let us down.

vey nice grounds,very nice and helfull staff. but you have to speak ITALIAN. Activities are only written in Italian, entertainment is only in Italian.not even greek.The place has a problem with the plumbing and the water in the bathroom is dark yellow even when you shower. also at night there is a sewage smell.

The Buffet Restaurant was very good. Big variety, and good quality. In breakfast there was even fresh juice I would like to see a bigger selection for coffees in All In in Bars still in total good value for money, and especially for families with children

Very good for our family vacation

The hotel and the surroundings are amazing. We loved the bungalow style and the well kept green areas. However, there are a few things that can be improved. First, the quality of the food can be improved, espcially the meat, fish and cooked options. Secondly, although the hotel is clean, more attention to detail. For example, we had lots of ants in the room and one day the sea was full with plastic and rubbish that could have been removed. Thirdly, the information provided on trips and activities was only in French.

It was all inclusive, but many of the items on the drink menus were only included during certain times of the day. The pool "snack" bar, if you even want to call it that, was very disappointing, as it included only various types of bread and ice cream. The buffet food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was not good and gave me stomachaches each time I ate it. The only things that were edible were the salad bar and the desserts. The hours for the pool were not early or late enough. We went to the indoor pool hoping to enjoy a relaxing time by the hot tub, but it was warm at best, only 84 degrees F, when hot tubs really should be around 100 or 102 degrees F. When we stepped into the regular pool indoors, the attendant told us that this was a relaxing area and we aren't to dive into it. We had literally stepped into it on the opposite side of the stairs, didn't dive or even jump. I didn't find the area to be relaxing anyway, as there were small children running and screeching. There were a couple of helpful ladies at the reception desk that were able to print up some options for transportation from the hotel on our way back to Athens, but we were very surprised to see that there weren't informational brochures about local transportation anywhere. Given that this was our honeymoon, and we did mention that, I was very underwhelmed with the whole experience. Also, the water activities were way overpriced and also had certain times in which guests could enjoy them.

Great resort right on the beach!

We had such a great stay, we decided to book another night. The locattion was fantastic - right on the beach, with several beaches that were part of the hotel. We took advantage of the on-site water sports rental, and went tubing on one of the "water couches." I wish I had remembered they have stand-up paddle boards...sigh. The main pool was AMAZING! There are free drinks at the poolside bar, and every afternoon they have group activities - water aerobics, salsa lessons, dart competitions, yoga, etc. The staff was fantastic! There is a second pool in the spa that was also lovely - we didn't go as we had kids with us, and it was clearly an adult-only pool. There is a "mini-club" that we were hoping to take advantage of while there, but since we went in September, when all the kids are back to school except ours, so there were no other kids to hang with. The food was fantastic, and there was such a variety. I loved them wine and beer on tap! It's true the food is not heavenly spiced, but that is to be expected when you are catering to folks from around the world. We were impressed with the use of local Greek products, and the presentation was great as well. Also, we played soccer one day, and there are great tennis courts and a volleyball quart - super fun time!

We were thrilled to have our Daughters wedding reception here ... staff were so accommodating Resort was beautiful and our guests enjoyed their stay. We were recommend anyone planning a wedding to consider Barcelo Hydra

Lovely location and hotel

Beautiful beach, very relaxing and lots of choice in authentic Greek (and other) food. Spa added that little extra, and infinity pool was great. Although 'activities' may be for some, my boyfriend and I went purely to relax and so could have done without frequent invitations to join classes/games. Loud music/entertainment for children could also have been done without but I suppose I should be less of a spoil sport. Overall very nice and would recommend.

Perfect holiday resort with great beach and perfect rooms.Very nice staff but it seemed a bit limited in numbers for such a big complex.Everything perfect except the food.The buffet is big but the taste is not five star ratted.In my opinion head for the beach bistrot : the pizza is impecable!Overall we had a great time and i recommend it for relaxation and leisure.

THE DICLINE OF A LANDMARK HOTEL

IT WAS NICE, ESPECIALLY THE POOL. THE CHILDREN WHERE AMUSED BY THE SIZE. THE FOOD WAS AVERAGE AND FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FAR FOR A 5 STAR HOTEL. I THINK THAT IT NEEDED MORE STAFF TO RUN EFFICIENTLY. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO FIND IT DUE TO LACK OF STREET SIGNS. ONE THING THAT I DISLIKED WAS THAT WE HAD TO PAY FOR OUR BREAKFAST COFFEE, IF WE CHOOSED TO HAVE SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM THE FILTERED THEY SERVED. FINALLY, I AM ALMOST CERTAIN THAT I BOOKED A PACKAGE ALL INCLUSIVE, BUT WHEN WE ARRIVED THEY INFORMED AS THAT THE BOOKING WAS HALF BOARD.

Sejour très agréable. Très bel établissement avec de jolies plages privées. Personnel bienveillant. Un regret, les repas qui ne sont pas à la hauteur d un 5 étoiles !

Schöne Anlage die etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Garten und Pool sind TOP. Die Zimmer sind OK. Frühstück ist gerade ausreichend die sonstigen Mahlzeiten sind echt schlecht.

Super hôtel avec 1 cadre magnifique, trajet long(2h30-3h en voiture) depuis l'aéroport d'Athènes mais ça vaut le coup. Super cadre avec 1 super piscine à l'eau de mer avec beaucoup de transats disponibles avec serviette fournie sans caution, superbe plage privée, restauration correcte, et super chambre bungalow en pleine nature. Seul point négatif une grosse taxe de séjour, 10 euros par jour pour 2 personnes.

Un séjour très agréable, je remercie NiKOS de m'avoir permis de bénéficier des golf cars du fait de mon entorse de genou faite é jours avant mon arrivée, sans cela vu l'étendu de votre Résort je n'aura rien pu faire même pas me rendre au restaurant. très beau buffet, félicitation au chef pour ces sauces. merci a tous le personnel qui nous a rendu un séjour très agréable.

On nous indiquait loisirs inclus, (canoe, paddle et autres) or tout est payant.. donc ce n'est du tout inclus. 1 seul restaurant, très décevant, beaucoup de gâchis et très "cantine"...bruyant Pas du tout eco responsable : tout en gobelet en plastique, aucune poubelle de tri ... en conclusion : décevant

Je pense que cet hôtel a eu ses étoiles dans une pochette surprise! Le parc et la plage sont certes jolis mais tout le reste est digne d’un 2 étoiles. Les chambres sont tout en plastique, vieilles sans confort. Il y a un seul restaurant buffet qui ressemble à une cantine. La plage est sale pleine de mégots. Le ménage est très mal fait chaque jour et le service quasiment inexistant. Cerise sur le gâteau: lorsque l’on paye pour une chambre deluxe vue mer il n’y a pas de vue mer à part si l’on se penche sur le balcon et le directeur vous explique que c’est normal!

If you are looking for complete relaxation this is a perfect spot. Beautiful gardens, beautiful beach and pool. Great gym, spa was great too! Staff is friendly and Kristina in the reception was so welcoming and professional. Food was nice and very wide selection, although its difficult to serve great meals everyday in a buffét. My room was a little dated but it was still a clean and nice room. Great with a little shop too where you can buy suncreen, souvenirs etc. I did not leave the premises for the whole time.

Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay at Barcelo Hydra beach. Mr. Vasilis with the golf car was always willing to help us he is amazing!! The food was incredible for an all inclusive hotel!!

Amazing vacation!!!

Everything was perfect at Barcelo Hydra beach. It was the second time that we’ve visited this hotel. The food was great and all the facilities. Mr. Vasilis the driver was one more time excellent very polite and always willing to help us.

Schöne und gepflegte Hotelanlage. Strandabschnitt ist schön und sauber. SPA bereich und Fitnessraum ist neu und lädt zum verweilen ein. Frühstücksbuffet ist OK. Das Buffet beim Abendessen lässt jedoch zu wünschen übrig. und ist nicht sonderlich appetitlich. Zum Glück hatten wir ein Auto und konnten auswerts essen gehen. Im Grossen und ganzem sicher nicht ein Fünf-Sterne Hotel.

Excellent weekend

The resort was an excellent escape for the weekend and my kids loved the place the pool and of course the spacious sea view bungalow. Totally recommend it.

Χρειάζεται βελτιώσεις

Πολύ εντυπωσιακό ξενοδοχείο, τα δωμάτια χρειάζονται ανακαίνιση (δε μοιάζουν με δωμάτια 5αστερου ξενοδοχείου, με εξαίρεση το μπάνιο που είναι εξαιρετικό). Το φαγητό στο κεντρικό εστιατόριο είχε πολλές επιλογές (δεν ήταν όμως όλα νόστιμα και ποιοτικά). Σίγουρα κάτι πρέπει να γίνει με τον καφέ που παρέχεται στις all inclusive διαμονές, καθώς οι αυτόματες μηχανές που διατίθενται έχουν πολύ κακό καφέ.

Une belle piscine qui ferme trop tôt

C'est un hôtel club (300 chambres) avec beaucoup d'enfants, la piscine est bruyante et ferme à 19h ce qui est trop tôt. La chambre est un peu " basique" mais très propre. Lorsqu'on voyage seul ( sans agence) l'accueil est fait par une personne spécialement affectée à ce type de voyageurs ( très rares dans l'hôtel ou il n'y a que des clubs de vacances en fait). Cette personne nous a donné de mauvais renseignements sur les prestations que nous pouvions avoir en tant que voyageurs sans club, le restaurant plus calme est payant et on a du négocier 1 diner gratuit sans trop savoir si on y avait droit ou pas. Le Spa est bien mais la piscine du spa n'est pas accessible après 19h et encore des enfants qui font du bruit .... Pour le prix on s'attend à un peu de calme dans certains endroits.

Εξαιρετικοί κήποι και παραλία, τα σνακ στο all inclusive πολύ φτωχά και η διακόσμηση του δωματίου υπερβολικά λιτή. Το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό. Στα αρνητικά αν και η πισίνα είναι αρκετά μεγάλη, λόγο του μεγάλου όγκου του ξενοδοχείου (χωράει 1000 άτομα) και οι ημέρες που ήμασταν εμείς είχε αρκετό κόσμο δεν έβρισκες να κάτσεις πουθενά και μέσα στην πισίνα γινότανε χαμός. Ίσως να σκεφτούν να φτιάξουν και μία ακόμα γιατί για τόσο κόσμο δεν αρκεί.

grand complexe hôtelier parfaitement intégré au site, en bord de plage. petites maisons avec terrasse disséminées dans la végétation. comprennent une chambre e une salle de bains(produits renouvelés, peignoirs, chaussons).terrasse avec table et fauteuils.Plage aménagée avec transats, parasols, serviettes.Beaucoup de verdure et de fleurs. belle piscine.pour le restaurant principal, une immense salle style cantine bruyante à éviter; par contre très belle terrasse vue sur mer , très agréable mais il faut attendre d'être placé.buffet bien fourni mais répétitif et peu typique. plusieurs bars.emplacement hôtel permet de visiter Hydra, Poros et Spetses mais il faut avoir une voiture.grand parking gratuit et gardé.
