Parking should be closer to rooms.
The airstream is great, which I had wanted to try once. But air conditioning was a little loud at night since it was in winter to warm the rooms.
Really fun staying in an Airstream. The hotel is an architectural delight, and the Airstreams are very nicely kitted out. Contrary to some comments, we found the shower had copious hot water and was fine. About 10 mins from Joshua Tree entrance, so location is great. Main criticism: a $35/day amenity fee for nothing. Hotels really must stop doing this, or it should be made illegal. It's just a way of charging more than the advertised price. A few things could be improved: coffee is not very good, and hot water tasted of coffee. Would be nice if they served tea and coffee all day (especially given the amenity fee :-). Breakfast is literally just some not very good granola and milk. Trailers are not cleaned, but you can request fresh towels (essential in the winter since they don't dry).
Amazing location - such a cool idea. Having an open fire and looking at the stars in the middle of Joshua Tree is incredible - highly recommend! The airstream is simple but very functional, and clean. We only stayed here for one night but would definitely go again.
Close to Park enterance
Quiet property very close to Joshua Tree national park and in close proximity to restaurants in the area. Really nice Airsteam and good service at the main lobby area.
Great weekend get away. Close to the national park.
t
Great experience .Staff were a bit clueless about anything going on in Joshua tree. Didn’t feel welcomed at all - lack of training I guess. But it’s an amazing place and the air streams are incredible!!!
Goofy
I have never spent so much money to stay in a trailer in my life. It is not the desert experience it is touted to be as the noise of the highway and lights from the dollar general put us basically right in town. We got the premium airstream and asked what the difference was compared to the regular airstream experience and were told, “Ammenities!’ They could not explain what these ammenities were, however. It became our word of the day. A cash grab resort fee of 35 bucks a day for such special inclusions like TV, wifi, pool, and bikes. Things that are pretty standard everywhere else. Breakfast was granola and milk and super weak coffee. They couldn’t even throw in some yoghurt or fruit. It was nickel and dime time on the edge of town. The wind whipped up the dust and our dollars into the ether. Never again.
When we arrived the WiFi was done and because of that they messed all our payments.
But wait, there’s more
Such a cool concept and property ! But wait, there’s more. Service was friendly, prompt, professional and super helpful about area attractions. Highly recommend this for Joshua Tree. Stay MORE than one noght
This was the coolest property we've ever stayed at. The check-in experience was pleasant and staff were so friendly and helpful. The Airstream was the perfect size for myself and our small dog. We truly loved it and can't wait to stay at other properties.
AutoCamp was very clean, pool was great, staff was very helpful, friendly and professional.
Happy camping experience
Beautiful place.
Location was perfect for our stay. Short drive to Joshua Tree National Park and close to the highway. Facilities were clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful, and we had all the amenities needed to make our stay comfortable.
Trailer was great as always, location of the camp was weird, not what you would expect compared to their other locations
I recently stayed at an auto camp and wanted to share my experience! The facilities were top-notch, and the unique accommodations added a charming touch to our stay. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend it for a unique outdoor experience!
Good price. Clean. Just what we needed
First time staying in an airstream so didn’t really know what to expect. It was very small but had what we needed for our short stay. A small fridge. Comfy bed. Nice shower. Only warning is the last night it was very windy so it was a little rocky trying to sleep. For someone that gets motion sick very easily it wasn’t the best setting. but I was still able to fall asleep eventually
Too expensive for what it is - no working TV - very limited store options. Not even a good experience. Very disappointing!
Our stay at AutoCamp Joshua Tree was nothing short of fantastic. The proximity to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park made it incredibly convenient for our adventures. The unique trailer-like rooms added an element of charm and novelty to our experience, while still providing all the necessary comforts. We particularly enjoyed the BBQ grilling spot right outside our room, allowing us to enjoy delicious meals under the desert sky. The family-friendly atmosphere was evident throughout our stay, making it a perfect choice for families looking to explore the wonders of Joshua Tree together. Needless to say, our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this exceptional hotel.
Such a fun time away! Thank you. Looking forward to staying at an East coast property next.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Airstream was clean and well maintained. So many places to hang out and relax. The store and food offerings was appreciated since we were too tired to go out so we grabbed food and local beer and played games in our airstream, it was perfect.
What a cool spot! The Airstream was perfect! My own fire pit made watching the stars perfect. It is also only one stoplight from the Western entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Loved my stay and enjoyed my happy hour bartender Terin who makes a mean jalapeño margarita!
This was a first time visit and though I usually camp in the Joshua Tree Park, I thought we'd do something different due to weather. It was a very good choice. Very comfortable, loved the amenities. Property was a good location to the various park entrances for hiking.
I love the uniqueness of staying at an airstream. The message from autocamp said we need to clean the unit or we'll be charged $150.00 for cleaning. As I was sweeping the floor before we checked out, I noticed thick layers of dust and remnants of dried noodles and a tag of an 85 degree cake on the floor, which made me think that nobody cleaned the floors.
Facility is near Joshua Tree national park.
We loved our stay here. Family of 4 and no issues. The staff were amazing. You can buy everything on site for a BBQ inclusive of s’mores kit and logs and meat but you will pay for this. There is a Walmart driveable. The only downside I would say is that if you are only there for one night you cant check in until 4pm and then a queue has built up through the day rather than checking people in on the system when they arrive. You then have to be out by 10am which means youve hardly used any of the facilities. When we stay again we will book 2 nights to avoid this issue
We did a group trip here after having gone to and enjoyed the Auto Camp in Yosemite. Great option to get the camping vibes and outside/fire time with all the packing setup and cleaning camping can require. Enjoyed our time here and would recommend.
Fun
Cute Trailer Glamping with amazing grounds
I love Airstream so when I saw this place, we had to go. The interiors are so cute and well done. The lobby area is great, very nice to hang out with a coffee by the fire in the morning. All that said, if you are a strict hotel person and haven't ever stayed in a trailer, a few things to remember. The water pressure isn't great, shower, sink, etc. The in trailer full speakers is a great idea, took a few tries to get connected, not very intuitive. The casting setup for our TV didn't work which was a little frustrating. I'm not by any means afraid of tech, the pairing site just was down. All in all, totally worth it. The fire pits next to the trailers are great. The whole setup is cute. Staff is very friendly. Just a few things they need to work on. I would go again.
Nice nice nice will go back ~~
SO cute would stay here again!
Very nice experience
Trailer was great, they’ve thought of everything. Pool was nice & clean. Seem to be struggling with staffing.
Wonderful idea; service to be improved
3 night stay
Great location to explore Joshua Tree park with the convenience of the town nearby
Awesome property, will be back at Autocamp again.
Super cool place. Super helpful and nice front dest staff. Good location to Joshua Tree NP West & North entry. Adorable, comfortable, ample amenities airstream. I definitely stay again and again.
My first time in an airstream and it was more than I could have hoped for; adorable, comfortable, ample amenities; water pressure in the shower was great and water was hot! Easy access to West entrance of the park and near several attractions. Staff was extremely helpful and so nice. Would definitely stay again.
From top to bottom - things were great! No complaints other than wish we could have stayed longer!
It was very helpful to allow me to check in early.
Super cute place! Staff was super helpful and friendly. Check in was easy. Very clean. It is loud from the airstream when sleeping but similar if you like white noise
Excellent!
Great place
Would gladly stay again!
Loved our stay! So clean and a unique experience. Enough space between the campers. Great amenities on site. Highly recommend!
Such a fun experience, loved the property decor and airstream!!! Modern and clean!
A lot of stores in the area to get charcoal and simple groceries. Wish they had little stoves inside for cooking but using the grill isn’t that bad
No value, sure cool and hip. $8 for a can of beer and $20 for a small bundle of wood seems like a rip off. Best to do as a couples trip, and only bring a small bag since not much storage.
Property was great. Excellent for relaxing and unwinding.
Cute “campground” close to Joshua Tree National Park! Easy to get to it, and felt very safe.
Highly recommend AutoCamp Joshua Tree
I loved this place. Just 10 minute drive from the northern entrance to Joshua Tree, and they did a great job making the little airstream village super cosy. The airstream is equipped with all the modern amenities, and it even has a built-in Bluetooth speaker and a tv in the bedroom that you can connect your phone to and stream music and videos. The pool area is also super nice and has both lounge and regular chairs. The staff is amazing and super helpful and will take you and your luggage to your airstream if you don’t want to walk from the parking lot. They also have little carts that you can pull your luggage in as it is a dirt road from the parking lot to the airstreams. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Joshua Tree.
Loved it !!!
One of a kind experience
The front desk people has welcoming attitude, while the curly lady during breakfast doesn't even acknowledge anyone's presence, grumpy and looks like doesn't want to be there to work. More to improve: Child friendly as I noticed that it was spring break and there's no activities for children. The fire pit was never clean everyday, as we were there for 4 days and it was just almost full of ashes. Yes, only Granola for the last 4 days of breakfast.
We loved autocamp Joshua tree. Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent food available. Sunrise and sunsets. Safe private entrance.
Comfortable beds, nice and clean, friendly helpful staff. Not so good--the toilet seat was broken, the fridge/freezer wasn't working properly, and the porch light wasn't working. In fairness everything was repaired quickly after we mentioned it but things like that really shouldn't happen. Perhaps i missed it on their website but you cannot drive your car up to your trailer even to unload your stuff. There are wagons available to transport your things but if you have any walking issues this place may not be for you. We were there in March and evening temperatures were down in the thirties. There is no regular table inside the trailer, only some rather wobbly TV tables and the "sofa" is a futon like fold out bed which isn't very comfortable to sit on. We didn't sleep on it and its probably ok for kids but i doubt that it would be all that great for adults. A place this expensive really ought to provide and ice machine. It also should provide a better continential breakfast than coffee and granola.BTW if you want milk to go with that granola you have to buy that yourself. So its a mixed bag. If you want to try out camping with your family you'd be better off to rent an RV and stay at one of the camp grounds in Joshua Tree. We aren't sorry we stayed here but probably won't do so again.
Not a pleasant stay
Quite small inside the room. Complicative thermostat setting. Hotel technician came 3 times in our 4 night's stay to correct heater settings. 2 electric outlets not working. Electric overload happened 1 night when we had water boiler, heater fan, and TV on. Slow response for a few service requests. Cold and windy outdoor at night, difficult to stay outside.
The best
I highly recommend this place for a quick getaway or long stay. Beautiful airstreams with modern amenities excellent way to glamp!!
Inside clean and things place nicely. Once you open the door, WOW! Stunning
It's a gated property. Felt very exclusive. The grounds were very clean.
Stay was great but there is a $25 resort fee which includes the amenities and breakfast. It should be noted breakfast only consists of granola, milk, coffee and tea. The amenities seemed great but due to cold weather and high winds we did not use any of them. Otherwise a really cool place to stay with views of Joshua Tree NP and other regional mountains.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Awesome stay, loved the airstream.
Great time at Joshua Tree’
Just a great experience! Beautiful RV. Great set up, felt safe and great service. If you’re looking to glamp or experience an RV. This is the place for Joshua Tree!
Nice and clean property with novelty value. There were a few issues that would have elevated it to a great stay should they have been working - TV nor fan did not work and the heating seemed to turn itself off.
The staff was really fantastic. Jericho and Kelly especially
Expected to be in the middle of nature, not right next to busy street
Had a great stat at AutoCamp, look forward coming back soon.
Spectacular. My favorite place ive ever stayed.
This is my idea of camping! Warm cozy camping with a luxurious bathroom. Loved the outside patio/dining/fire pit area, too! Nice supply of everything one could need and really conveniently located to Joshua Tree National Park.
Excellent and lovely spot. Ensure stay in classic airstreams areas near perimeter. Try to avoid close to the noisy freeway….
It was a different experience staying in a luxury trailer. We chose it for the closeness to the park and the chance to stargaze. Unfortunately, the camp is bright so there is no stargazing from the camp. The staff friendliness us variable. There is no tv connection and the coffee in the room is terrible. Breakfast fare is meager, as are the other meal options. The trailer is clean, bedding comfortable.
Nice and unique
Airstream and site were beautiful. Had to buy ice, wood or charcoal for fire/cooking. Resort fee was for what amenities we are not sure. Nothing going on when we were there. Windows didn’t work in bedroom. No one around when we needed a washcloth/packet of coffee.
This was a unique experience, I always wondered what camping in an Airstream was like. I liked it and the park was very quiet. They have also landscaped with native plants that will be beautiful as they grow!
An amazing experience checking in with Amanda and checking out with Brianna. Brianna was the only person during check out and she had a line of customers. She kept calm and I did not feel rushed at all when it was my turn. She was also manning the gift shop at the same time. Even though it was a busy time of the day, she still walked all the way to the tshirt section, patiently checked the stock and helped us find the tshirt size we needed. Kudos to her for delivering excellent customer service! Also, we needed toiletries, a replacement key card when the other family accidentally left theirs inside their airstream, a lantern that ran out of battery charge. All these were promptly delivered and replaced. We did not have to wait long.
Our experience here was unique and fun. Everyone on the staff was great too. The bonus was that they had yoga, stargazing and a dj!
Saturday, we had a power outage, and the Autocamp had no power generator. So we were from 1 pm to around 6 pm without power and a weather temperature of around 110º F.
This is a truly great place to stay and the Airstreams are wonderful. Pool area is excellent too but a 10am checkout is very restrictive.
What a great experience
Amazing and unique. Loved it. Brand new and plenty of room.
Nice place to stay but some charges were on our bill and no explanation for that
Loved all the airstreams!!
Staff was very nice and it was very well kept and clean. Would definitely stay again
.
Staffs here are super nice and made our stay extra comfortable and great experience! There is a small pool that everyone can enjoy it and nice that they provide us free pool towels! Simple Breakfast (coffee, tea, juices, milk, granola cereals) are available to all guests (yes free!) and we appreciate that! Thank you!!
Great weekend trip in Joshua Tree
If you like glamping then Auto Camp Joshua Tree is for you. We spent a short weekend my husband and I, and loved it. The Airstream was super nice and comfortable. The location is near JT park so it was very convenient. We took a yoga class on Sunday morning and Bryan was very nice and we really enjoyed the class. The staff was very professional, and courteous, and Jericho was extremely lovely and helpful. Word of advise… don’t do like us and stay only one night, make it at least 2 nights to really enjoy!! ❤️❤️❤️
Was a great experience, we were helped by Torn during check in, it was a quick!! Got all the helpful information from him. Airstream is complete, we were provided with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Bed was so comfy. No problems at all with the AC. Bathroom is big enough to enjoy our showers. Highly recommended.
Very cool property that’s exactly very close to the entrance of the national park. Everything appeared to be very new and maintained well, which is hard in the desert. I wish there had been more of a restaurant on the property and it would have been nice to have a working TV or at least a speaker in the trailer.
The style was beautiful, but I wish trees for shades
Loved it! Bed was very comfy and had all the basic amenities. Location is great. Staff was great. Wasn't crowded (mid june) which was nice. Highly recommend.
Awesome unique place to stay at.
Airstream cabin was very good. The property is well maintained. Management needs to think of a way to help vacationers to better cope with the desert wind.
Best Weekend Getaway Ever!
We can’t wait to visit again. People at check in were so friendly and helpful. A woman in a golf cart offered to give us a ride to our airstream and took the long route so we can see the whole property. They also have wagons you can use to carry your stuff. We didn’t have to bring anything except food to cook, clothes & toothpaste because they provide all utensils and supplies needed. It’s 4 minutes away from the Joshua Tree National Park info station and all other fun sights. 20 minutes away from Pioneer town. They had yoga in the morning, and a “fire pit chat” hour where a woman comes and educates about the desert and it’s eco systems. She was the best part of the trip because my boyfriend and I got into deep convo with her, we loved her! She’s so down to earth! Sometimes they also have live music during happy hour. Auto camp also has other fun family activities such as corn hole, heated swimming pool, free bike rentals (3 sizes for the whole family) and happy hour with cheap beers ($2 off beer and mixed drinks) They even let you eat and drink by the pool! Some hotels don’t allow food or alcohol near the pool. You should note, they require that you buy the firewood that they have for sale because it’s a specific/ safer type of wood. A lighter is better than the matches they provide. It gets windy even if it’s hot outside.
Great stay!
Absolutely fantastic unique stay here. Staying in an airstream has been on my bucket list and this exceeded expectations. Great facilities, super clean and beautifully designed. My only addition would be a small hob to cook on in the van if it's too windy to barbecue on the fire pit. Other than that, perfect.
Great experience. Property, staff and amenities were really good. Airstream is very well planned. With 4 adults and a dog, did not feel crowded at all. The location is at a perfect spot for Joshua Tree visitors. Book without any hesitation !
Nice Stay but got locked out
Generally very positive. RV was very very nice and staff did their best to be welcoming and helpful. Pool was clean and nice. Unfortunately, there was no TV. Also, when we got back from a star-gazing trip to the park one night we were locked out of the AutoCamp gate due to malfunction.
From staff to stay
We were greeted by torn he was very welcoming! This is not something I like to put out in public but in order to tell you how great torn was I was not able to help my husband with our things from car to site I have cancer and just wanted to do something normal so I found AC Torn stepped up and even helped me up the steps of the deck so I could get in safely to our airstream everything you see in the photos is exactly what you’re going to experience I would definitely recommend this all day long thank you to the staff at AC especially Torn and Chris
The airstream was very comfortable. Lots of thoughtful touches. Very friendly staff. Pretty clubhouse for getting coffee, granola for breakfast. Too windy during our stay to use the pool, but the pool looked great.
