Great place, very friendly staff, convenient location, and a great view of the city.

Wonderful property. The room was everything we could wish for. It is also centrally located, near the train station, about 25 minutes to the airport and easy walking to the Duomo and Baptistry. The only suggestion I would have is to upgrade the internet. It sometimes was slow and we experienced some drops. We can easily recommend our room #5

Great spot near train station

We needed a place to stay near the tram station for our last night before flying home. The location was perfect (not far from the train from Rome, and close to the tram to the airport the next day). The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the communication about how to get in/submit our passports was clear and efficient. The only downside was the steep, narrow final flight of stairs to the apartment.

This property is nisleading from the outside. Once you are in the building from the street it is charming. The lift was very handy. Once inside the actual Apollo Hoyse area it updated and modern. Beds are comfortable area is clean. Coffee service in the room a bonus and the staff friendly and helpful. I recommend this place uf you are visiting Florence

There was no hot water so we could not use the shower or tub.

Checking was easy, we felt very safe and this is a great location. The room was perfectly appointed, but we had a sewer smell both nights. Sunday night into Monday trash truck comes and is very loud, but they provide earplugs for you! Elisa was WONDERFUL, great restaurant recommendations, we were able to leave luggage in secure area by room on check out day for several hours.

A decent size room close to the station and in a very convenient area for restaurants. Getting checked in is a bit of a pain - quite a few messages between the accomodation and me to sort out passport details (required by law), payment of local room tax and finally codes for getting in as their is no reception. So just be aware and don't leave things to the last minute. Florence is expensive so this wasn't bad value compared to other options in the center.

This hotel is really well placed if you’re travelling by train, literally round the corner from the main station in Florence. The rooms are on the 3rd floor but there is a lift if you’re travelling with luggage. The rooms were very spacious and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and toiletries. There were even a few different bottles of wine in the room with wine glasses priced between €10-€15 which we thought was a really nice touch. Our room had a small balcony too which was lovely to sit on with a drink. The area around the building is pretty busy due to its location to the train station, so you could hear some noise from outside, but it didn’t really affect us. If you’re sensitive to it though I’d recommend bringing earplugs. We’d definitely stay here again.

Perfect last minute stay!

We booked a last minute stay and Elisa made the check in process really easy. Easy check in process, great air conditioning, clean room and nice bathroom products. Vending machine & wine for sale was a great touch. Thanks again!

Great location super close to train station and only a 10 minute walk too the duomo and Michelangelo's David in academia. Very clean, cold AC. Really liked that they have three option to buy wine right in your room. B we d was comfortable. Bathroom clean and toiletries available.

Excellent stay at Apollo Guest House! While the stairwell looks plain, the suites are wide spacious clean and modern. The 24hr concierge made sure we had everything we needed on our stay!

The only negative was the outside surrounding noise. Early morning trash pick up every other day, cars, etc…

Check in was funky but okay, the issue was a warm, humid night and the AC unit was broken. This made for an uncomfortable sleeping situation as opening the balcony doors let in mosquitoes and too much noise to sleep. Had the mini split AC unit worked, this would have been an excellent stay.

This guest house was amazing. Upgraded amenities. Very nicely decorated! Rooms were very clean. Wish we were able to stay longer. Shower was spacious. Room was spacious. Easy check-in process. Right next to train station and tram to the airport. I highly recommend the Apollo Guest House!

Excellent location and friendly staff. Clean and pleasant room. However, You have to climb a very narrow and steep stairs to reach a room that fits 4/5 people. It is impossible task for older person or for someone not strong. It should be written in description.

NOISE!!! This was the noisiest place I have ever stayed at. Do not stay here if you are a lighter sleeper. You hear everything, everybody, and anything that drives by the building. Late night trash pickup, 2am street sweepers- so loud, 5am trash pickup again?? You get woken up every 2 hours. Warning Do not stay on this street! You will regret and remember this review at 2am

The staff was very good to us, and check-in was very neatly organized. The rooms were very comfortable, and the hotel was located close to the train station and the very beautiful Florentine streets! They let us keep our luggage before check in and after checkout and have been very accommodating. The price was perfect, and the room was fairly spacious. This was a very good guest house.

The Apollo Guesthouse was perfect for our family. It was close to the train, spacious, and clean. I would highly recommend it.

A wonderful unit and a wonderful location! Absolutely recommend staying here if ever in Florence. So close to the train station but also all the sites. The room was very comfortable and the AC was powerful. Loved it!

Stayed two nights. Check-in instructions were accurate. Room was not fully cleaned upon our arrival, but the staff was responsive and fixed it immediately. Neighborhood is congested and chaotic. Watch out for pickpockets. Entrance to building is on a narrow sidewalk on a busy street. Close to train station however.

Don’t let the look from the outside question your choice. This place is GREAT! The comforts you’ll enjoy are fantastic, and the location can’t be beat.

Pros- 1) Great location (kinda), close to train station and walking distance to most attractions in Florence. Lots of homeless people and questionable characters at night though. Felt unsafe a bit. 2) Contactless check in/ room entry. 3) Free tea/coffee and cold water in room. 4) A/C worked wonderfully. 5) Big comfy bed 6) Nice shower but not much hot water. Cons- 1) Room was dusty and not very clean, especially the floor. My white socks were brown after walking around for a bit. 2) Bedding was dirty and we found multiple cigarette burns, brown stains and what looked like ink stains. If you’re gonna do white bedding, it should be visibly clean at the very least. 3) Elevator is tiny and terrifying. 2 people and 2 suitcases and we were crammed in so tight the door barely shut. 4) Rooms aren't sound proofed well and all hallway noise is heard. We had noisy neighbors who were extremely loud until 1 AM. 5) Check out is at 1030 AM sharp- none exceptions. 6) Nowhere to safely store luggage after check out. You can leave luggage unattended in the empty hallway but anyone walking by can steal if they chose to. 7) Next door to hotel they were doing construction and we had to hear jack hammering from 8 AM until 6 PM. It was awful. 8) Towel drying rack in the bathroom did not work, or if it did there was no obvious method of turning it on. All in all it was decent and I’d probably book again just for AC and location.

Pleasant apartment that is in perfect location

Stayed here on a family vacation trip. Location was perfect since it is close to the train station... There were 5 of us and our room was big enough that each kids had their own space to unwind... Clean bedrooms... nice bathrooms… nice kitchen and a little breakfast table and overall a pleasant place to stay! We will definitely come back here the next time we visit Florence.

Nice guest house close to Florence train station

Nice guest house close to Florence station with an elevator. There is no 24x7 reception but provided instructions for getting keys and check-in were very clear. Only issue I noticed was with sewer smell from bathroom in one of the room. I told them about this issue and they assigned me a different room next day. I was lucky that they had free room available next day.

This place really worked great for me - very near train, clean and cute, really helpful staff. It was just a bit noisy and a rather strange building. I’d go again.

The room was very modern and updated. It was probably the nicest room of our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was awesome. The check in was very easy. We never actually met the proprietors. Everything was self service, which was clear and very easy to navigate. We really enjoyed staying close to the train station, and we were only a 10 minute walk to the Duomo.

I liked the Apollo Guest House very much- The room was excellent- large, very modern and clean.. I have stayed in several hotels in this part of Florence at similar price points and this is definitely none I would recommend and use again. Note that this is a self-check in place. Following the instructions to get into the building, up the lift and into the hotel is a bit tricky. I had to help out a family who seemed quite baffled by the process. The place suited me as I just wanted a very nice quiet room while I stayed in Florence and that is exactly what I got.

Getting in to the room was a bit of a challenge since there is no front desk. The actual room was delightful.

Very spacey clean room, close to everything, great touristy area, and liked the feeling of being in one’s own apartment instead of being in a hotel.

Loved Apollo Guest house! The room was huge! It was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was great. Very very convenient location right next to the train station. Definitely would stay here again and definitely would recommend.

Overall good experience. Sometimes bit noisy due to traffic on street in the morning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Apollo. They were our 3rd stop on our Italy trip and were dissatisfied with the other locations we had stayed where a Tuscan charm was the synonym for unkept, unclean and awful. Apollo was clean, modern and made our arrival seamless with their set-up. Highly recommended and top of our list for our next trip to Florence.

Very clean

Apollo Guest House is perfectly located just feet from Santa Maria Novella Train Station and offers complete autonomy. You can walk to all the wonders Florence has to offer and easily hop on a train to explore neighboring cities. Alessandro is very responsive and accommodating. This will be our go to place when we visit Florence again.

When we arrived and tried to get in the front door, we couldn't because the power on the block had been turned off for some reason. We were in communication via WhatsApp and they quickly sent someone with a real key to get us in the door. After about 30 mins, the power came back on and we were able to drop our bags and make it just in time for our guided tour. This property is close to the train station and on the top floor of a building. The room was nice, the bed was firm, and the bathroom was large. The service was good and checkout the next morning was easy.

Pros: Apollo Guest House is on a top floor of a building at a 2-street corner, very close the the train station and many museums and basilicas. It’s gated by many locked doors, which makes us feel very safe. We like the self check-in checkout process during COVID time. We also like the eco-friendly action that they only change towels after 3 nights. Cons: there are a few noise issues. The room we stayed has 2 swing doors to the balcony facing the “courtyard”, but the “courtyard” actually has one side opening to a street. The swing door to the balcony is not very soundproof. The first night there are some people yelling on the street at 3am, which waked my husband, so make sure you wear earplugs.

Great guest house

Excellent guest house. The room is spacious and they have shared kitchen with other tenant. Location is right in front of train station. Water pressure was really great except on our last day of stay.

Pleasant stay, shower kind of small for me and the bathroom fan was pretty loud, but other than that it was perfect

Pros: - Great value - Close to train station - Not far from sights Opportunities for improvement: - Very firm mattress (seemed newer and even possibly memory foam, but was very firm) - Water pressure in shower started great but then went down to a very low pressure (could barely wash off soap!) after about 5 min - Very thin walls (it’s a great old building that has been completely remodeled! But that comes with thin walls) and you could hear others in the hotel too much. - Lots of “extras” that you have to pay for that are normally included in a rate but aren’t necessities (I.e. if you want your towels exchanged after fewer than 3 days you must pay 3 Euro). - There isn’t a concierge at all times. We called when we got there and they were very quick to meet us but I could see how this could be a challenge for others if you don’t have a calling or texting plan. Overall, it suited our needs. For the price, the location and cleanliness was perfect but there were some downsides that reminded us that “you get what you pay for” and it’s how they are able to provide a great nightly rate.

Everything exceeds expectations. The room is spacious and clean. The super king size bed is so comfortable.

A hidden gem in Florence

Amazing place to stay in Florence. The unit is so roomy, clean, and very welcoming that it feels like home. Really impressed that our room was ready and Alexa checked us in once we arrived in Florence even if it's not 2:30 pm. Alexa was really helpful in getting us checked in. This place is situated close to the Firenze station epecially if you're planning to take some day trips to other italian citites. It is also close to Mercato Centrale Firenze, the Duomo, and to all of Florence attractions. Will definitely booked again at Apollo.

Perfect apartment perfect location perfect hosts!

Brilliant location right beside Santa Novello train station and the centrale food market which is amazing and well worth a visit. The apartment was clean spacious had everything we needed.. iron board iron hairdryer etczz there was s choice of lovely Tuscan wines and an honesty box. And the offer of being able to leave luggage all day after check out was great too! Great communication prior to arrival from the owner! Highly recommend Angela

Central Florence

The location couldn’t have been better for us, situated between the train station and some really lovely areas around the main cathedral surrounded by great restaurants. The service by the staff was very good and the room perfect for our two children who slept within eyesight. The room was finished to a high quality. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great place to stay

The place was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

The property was close to the train station and conveniently located near a lot of the landmarks. The hop on and hop off bus is right behind the hotel. The hotel room was clean and spacious. Liked how I could leave my luggage after check out and explore the city afterwards. Not sure if I liked the area. It is on a very busy street. The entrance to the hotel is obscure and the elevator going up is very cramped for a family of 4. You never knew there was a property up on the 3rd floor of the building.

Great location and comfortable! Easy walk from train station made life much simpler. 15 minutes walk also took us to Michelangelo museum or to old bridge with much to see. Comfortable room and service was excellent. Even got great shopping recommendations.

Great location, good sized room, modern and clean. Major downside was an issue that occurred on arrival. Found the guest house, ringing buzzer and no response. Called telephone number, no answer... after several hours of travelling, being stuck in a loud, busy, narrow street in midday heat with luggage isn’t a great start. Managed to get WiFi in hotel reception next door to find an email saying staff had left unexpectedly along with instructions for how to get into the building. I think these details should be provided upon booking to save people stress and in case guests can’t access email when travelling.

It was great. FIVE stars hands down. Feet alway from train station it was great. It’s perfect. I stay in hotels in the US weekly and this one has been the best.

Property was very clean and spacious. The location was very close to the train station and walkable distracted to ask the tourist attractions. I remember seeing kitchen in the pictures of hotel however there was no kitchen add I was disappointed as I was traveling with a kid , but there were good eating places near by (the market and MC donalds) which kept the little one happy. Overall I would give a big thumbs up for this hotel. Had a wonderful stay

Great Place

Fantastic place to stay. The only downside was the bins were not cleaned out prior to arrival and we got our washing done and it was not sufficiently dryed which was dissappointing.

Very spacious, clean, convenient and the best of all the 7 hotels we have stayed during our 16 days holiday in Italy.

Apollo Guest House - Rooms were very modern and spacious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was very convenient to the city center. I Highly Recommend and will be staying here again during my next visit to Florence.

Great location. For those who drive, park at Leon X street about 15mins walk away to avoid parking fees. We parked our car overnight for 3nights there without any parking tickets issued. Many food options like Mac Donalds and Burger King nearby. Just right next to our entrance there is Japanese Food!

Very clean and fresh and staff very helpful but we were there when the weather was unseasonably cold and the heating did not work well - it was controlled by a thermostat in the corridor so that was warm but the rooms were freezing.

The tenants upstairs were quite loud. Also random bursts of hot and cold water depending on if others were using water at the same time. Otherwise a very good hotel. Felt very safe and the location is a 1min walk to train station and walkable to all site attractions

The guesthouse was very central to all the main attractions in Florence. It was a 2 minute walk from the train station which was super convenient! Our hosts were pleasant but reserved and not very conversive either in English or Spanish, or in my attempted Italian. Our conversations were straight and to the point. They met all of our needs promptly and our room was immaculately clean! The location itself was pretty noisy and the walls very thin, but did calm down enough at night to get some good rest. My only complaint was that our hosts charged for everything including extra towels and coffee which was only available out of a vending machine, And they would only take cash for such items even though they make you give your credit card number to cover such things. Lastly, only cause I always like to know about the bed... it was very firm.

Perfect place!

So easy to reach from Firenze SMN station, and then so easy to walk from here to most sites, especially if you want to shop, walk, gaze and eat! I spent a sweet weekend in this cozy, clean and comfortable room. I would love to stay again at a future time in Florence!

Great location, very friendly staff, clean and safe. Close to train station and shops and restaurants, would recommend fish restaurant Lobo which is about a 3 minute walk. Would stay here again.

Great stay in Flornece

We stayed at the Apollo for 3 nights. We arrived on the train, and it's only a 5 minute walk from the station which is really convenient. As Florence is a small city, it's easy to get to everywhere from the Apollo so it's the perfect base. We arrived and were checked in. We had room 3 which had a balcony overlooking the streets below. Our friends had room 1 which had a huge bathroom, his and her sinks and a walk in shower. Every room is different, but it's been beautifully renovated and seemed brand new. The staff were lovely, too. On check in we were also given vouchers to the pizzeria across the street for 15% off and to a cafe up the road for a 3.50euro breakfast. Both places were incredible and would thoroughly recommend. Only criticism was that the bed was a little hard, but that's down to personal choice!

What a great find. 2 minutes from the train station and little balcony to enjoy a beer while a shower rained on Florence. Clean, A/C, friendly staff and just wish I could have stayed longer.
