Lovely staff
Basic accommodation, walking distance from the TGV Station, but on the outskirts of town (so bit in the middle of nowhere). One hour walk from city; occasional buses or local train to city (€15 taxi to/from the city). Reception closed between noon and 2pm (appears normal in southern France).
Clean and comfortable room
Perfect place to stay near the TGV station if you have an early train
Clean.
It needs to be restored, carpet in the hallway was dirty and stained. Could have got better hotel down the road for about the same money, very expensive. I do not recommend this hotel
Very close to the TGV station
No Frills Stay Near the TGV station
Perfect location for our needs. We picked this hotel for the location near the TGV station because we had an early train the next morning which was only a short walk away. We planned to return our rental car the night before and walk in the morning. Everything worked out. To get to the city center, we took the train from the TGV station which was a perfect way to get to city center. We Ubered home at the end of the night, but I think taking the train back would have been easy as well. The hotel and the surrounding area are no frills. I didn't see anything of interest nearby.
Convenient
Very convenient for the station. Welcome air-conditioning. Excellent communication from the hotel about collecting the key as the Reception is only open limited hours.
Clean, efficient and very close to the TGV. I also liked the books available for loan.
It is very close to TGV station ,little bit far away from city center , not convenient .
Great customer service
Checked in after reception hours; excellent support from emergency help desk to access the parking. Property is clean and well maintained
Handy to transport & good value
Close to train station, excellent check in
Close to TGV station, plenty of parking space in hotel surrounding, room a bit tired, good for families that need to cook
Convenient for TGV
The apartments were convenient for a one night stay before catching the TGV. The apartment was reasonable with an old bathroom. The only places to eat food were a 15min walk away at the shopping centre.
Καθαρο δωματιο. Φιλικο πρισωπικο. Απαραδεκτο για ξενοδοχειο που η καθαριστρια χρεωνεται εξτρα και πρεπει εσυ να κατεβασεις τα σκουπιδια σου.
Ants. Ants. Ants.
This was the worst hotel experience of my life. We arrived in the room late at night from a long train ride and realized that there ants in the bathroom. Over night, the ants got Into our bags which were all on furniture. We had to throw bags away. When I approached the desk they said they knew and were working on it.
Very close to the train station station. We liked the nice mini kitchen bar and roomy bathroom. It was very quiet and comfortable. Will stay again!
Excellent location for travelers. Short walk from Avignon TGV station. Roomy and has great kitchenette set-up. Modern minimalist and clean.
Not happy with the condition of the rooms. Hallways were very old & carpet looked dirty.
Locked out of my room from 9:10 pm until 7:30 am.
I have stayed here several times in the past. I never have a good experience here. My last stay I had no where to perk my car and there was no one there to check me into my room. This time while staying at this property my room door accidentally closed and because there is no one at the guest desk I was locked out of my room all night! Nothing but what I was wearing when the door closed! Even after calling the phone number given for emergencies the person who answered said she could not come and unlock the door. This is a hotel, you should be able to get service, especially in an emergency. Not a good option if you prefere to stay at a hotel that offers full service or that can help you twenty four hours a day. Will never stay here again. The property is also not very well maintained and is definitely now a low budget motel.

Family room close to Avignon TGV station
Hotel located within walking distance from TGV station. Arrived after reception desk closed but was provided clear instructions on how to access room. All bedding ready and waiting for additional sofa beds.
Small room, barracks-like atmosphere. Near the train station so if you’re going out by train I suppose that’s a plus. Zero personality. Bathroom water heater exploded while we were out, some clothes were soiled and we had to change rooms. We got a “sorry” but not a hint of anything else to make it up to us. No free night. No free breakfast. Lame.
Reception very unhelpful
Our friends had visited this place before and had left their bicycle bags there whilst they went bicycle touring. They e-mailed to check that it would be OK to do the same on this visit and only got a reply the night before check-in to say that that it wouldn't. By this time it was too late to make alternative arrangements which came close to wrecking the holiday. The receptionist was unhelpful. We witnessed other guests who had similar negative experiences with the reception who seemed to be working under difficult circumstances.
My Review of Aparthotel Adagio Access Avignon
My wife and I made this hotel our base for 5 days while vacationing in Avignon and taking day trips to the Luberon and the Mediterranean coast. The hotel is an amazing value. Very affordable, clean, just a 5-minute drive or train ride to the old walled section of Avignon. The staff was super friendly and so helpful, all speaking excellent English to complement my poor French. It also has a convenient, gated, password-protected parking area on the premises. And it is just a 10-minute walk to the Avignon TGV train station. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel, especially to those of you who have a rental car which allows quick access in and out of Avignon.
Check carefully to know what you're getting
Super nice staff. Breakfast weak. Facilities in need of rehab. Still, it's very convenient to train station.
Convenient to TGV station. Adequate for one night stay.
Very convenient location
It is only 5 minutes walk from Avignon TGV station. It has a parking lot for those who rent a car. We benefited from these two notable merits. We have traveled to Marseille by train. It took about 35 minutes. And we traveled to nearby cities by car. Whether you rent a car or not the hotel is conveniently located,
Kitchenette is a more accurate term with no hood so entire apartment smells if you cook. Stayed on 1st floor and no water pressure to speak of. Wish reception had been clearer during check in that the garbage we need to clear is to be disposed on the ground floor and not just "end of the corridor" as we ended going round the entire floor looking to clear the garbage
Aparthotel Adagio is a nice place to stay
Aparthotel Adagio is a comfortable hotel/apartment, which is most suitable for young people. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very polite.
A and p
It is waste of money staff at the reception not good and helpful at all so I do not sent people there
Best access for Avignon TGV station
We had spent a week in Provence, in very nice rural hotels with day trip driving access to Nimes, Arles, Mt Ventoux, etc. For our last night, we wanted a place as close as possible to the Avignon TGV station for return trip to Paris. On our last day we did some touring in and around Avignon, returned our car, and spent a pleasant night at this hotel. Staff were friendly and breakfast buffet was very good.
Stay for one night
The apartment was good, service was friendly, but breakfast was very poor.
Dissappointed
OK for an overnight stay, however, we had booked a room with two double beds - there was one double bed and a roll out couch, which appeared to be broken. Any form of fold out /roll out couch does not constitute a double bed. Further, we had to make up this second 'bed' on arrival, which was disappointing as we arrived on the late train so were not at the motel until close to midnight. What we needed was two beds, ready to sleep in, and this motel did not deliver that.
Everything fine except not tidy up enough
Nice and big hotel room . Lots of parking available either within the hotel or just outside. Environment was great and close to Gare TGV ( but still need some walking). What disappoint me was the room had only been slightly tidied up when we were away during the second day. We left early in the third day.
Short all to train station!
Great location for train station and catching metro to downtown, five minutes!
Warm reminder : not 24 hours check in
We had a good stay here with the very convenient carport behind the hotel with direct access to the hotel lobby. And I also like the mini kitchen facilities a lot. A warm reminder that this hotel does not have 24 hours reception. We arrived around 8pm on a Sunday and the reception was closed. We were a bit nervous as the main entrance was locked and no one was there. We then called to an emergency phone number and luckily the someone picked up the call and instructed us to do a treasure hunt opening a safe box for our room key. Oh one thing, I stayed 2 nights but no one was making up my room .....
Very convenient and clean accommodation for family
This accommodation was very good and clean. The hotel employees were very kind. Lidl is located at the distance of 10-minute walk and TVG station is near at 5-min walk.
Excellent kitchen, suitable for car-driving trips
The hotel is looking new and the staff is professional. The room is clean and the kitchen is excellent. It has everything you may need for an easy dinner. I was surprised that they even have wine glasses. The hotel is easy to reach, only a few minutes walking distance from the TGV station, but faraway from the city centre though. The only bad thing is that the reception is not 24-hrs and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Almost everything shuts down by 9 pm. I would suggest this hotel to those who plan a car-drive trip.
very convenient for Avignon TGV
Travelled by TGV and found hotel easily some five minutes walk from the TGV station. Great for an evening arrival. There is a twice hourly 5 minute train shuttle to the main train station and town centre at 3.20 euros return. Although there is a Centre Commerciale nearby it is easier accessed by car and there is little to do in this new' out of town area'. However a great choice if you are on a tight schedule without a car and need quick access to the TGV,
Value choice if you plan to drive in Avignon
Location and Access: It is located in the suburb of Avignon (about 5-10 minutes driving to downtown), yet it is very close to Avignon TGV station, with about 5 minutes walking distance from the station. If you arrive Avignon by TGV or car, it would be very convenient. There is a private car park free of charge to its guests, so it is a best fit to those who plan to drive around south France from Avignon. Reception closes everyday (9pm weekdays, 6pm weekends), and you will need passcode to enter hotel afterwards. Please make sure you will not check in late. Surroundings: Not much, except TGV station and some blocks of industries scattered around. However there is a large Carrefour nearby (about 3 minutes of driving) which closes 9pm during weekdays. Thus you should not worry about buying stuff during the stay. There are also some eateries around the Carrefour but I have not tried. There is only one shop (a bakery) to sell food in TGV station and it closes quite early, you may consider to drive back to downtown to have dinners. Room: The room is tidy and clean. You should expect it is more like an apartment than a hotel room. It has microwave oven and cooking stove, you may buy food from supermarket and cook yourself. Please beware that there is NO electric water boiler and NO kettle in the room and they cannot be borrowed from reception. You should find another way if you need hot water during the stay.
Good value for money
Very pleasant and comfortable stay, we are actually coming back next spring and plan to stay here again.
Hotel near Avignon TGV
The hotel is not in the center, so you have to take the bus or train back to the hotel.
CLOSE TO TGV STATION
We were most happy with our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a short walk from the Avignon TGV station. No shops or supermarket or eating places nearby, but a local bus is available and takes you to the Centre of the city
Convenient for TGV but nothing else.
Staff friendly but limited presence. Breakfast started too late for early departure. Tried to walk back to hotel from town centre and had to cross dual carriageway as no other apparent route.
Provence
Booked room at a "special" price so was good value for money. More like a studio than a hotel, have to carry your own rubbish out & linen changed & room serviced only once in 9 days. Front desk staff helpful & pleasant. Good to have a well equipped kitchenette & cook a few meals. Air conditioning worked well throughout a heat wave. Car parking & downstairs laundry also appreciated. The worst feature was no internet in rooms, only in the lobby.
Convenient, but isolated.
Close to Avignon TGV and car hire facilities, but you`ll need to take the shuttle into Avignon proper for shopping. Wifi is not available in the your room, a most unusual arrangement. If you don`t need a car, Avignon proper would seem a better option.
Just what we wanted
We were re-visiting Provence 34 years after our previous visit there together and we wanted somewhere practical, easy to get to, close to the Avignon TGV station and handy for hirecar visits across the region. Adagio Access ticked all the boxes as an Aparthotel where we could prepare our own food when we wanted to, close to the ring-road around Avignon. Facilities were exactly as described and just what we needed. Our only concern was that, had we not picked up warnings on Tripadvisor that the reception desk closed at 21.00hrs, we might not have been able to access our room till the next morning, having arrived at 11 due to a Eurostar delay. Fortunately, I'd emailed the hotel and they sent me the required codes the same day. Overall, exactly what we'd hoped for and we'd go back there without a moment's hesitation.
Great Value with easy walk to TGV and bus at door
Only stayed one night but received the most friendly welcome we experienced in seven weeks in Europe. Superb staff and good breakfast (only 6 euros). We stayed in October and it appears to have been unseasonably hot. However, the hotel's policy is to turn off all air-conditioning on 1 October meant we had problems only solved by opening the window and battling mosquitos. There is stop for the TGV shuttle only steps away which made for easy access to the sites and shopping of Avignon.
basic hotel, good quiet location for tgv station
Easy to get to, links to town good, need WiFi in rooms.
Stopover
Stopover on way south. Accomodation was a bit tired but adequate for our needs. Receptionist was excellent-very friendly, helpful and professional.
Great Location, Great Service
Very well located for the TGV station, about a 3 minute walk. We arrived late and unfortunately were locked out, however after calling to their friendly staff they were very very helpful. I would recommend to anyone looking for something convenient to the station, perhaps not for a romantic trip!
Convenient and Comfortable
Very close to TGV station, plenty of shuttle buses to centre of city. Apartment hotel so facilities for tea making!
convenient for the TGV station
The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. the hotel was clean and very convenient for the TGV station, walk there in a couple of minutes. Its also easy to get a bus into the town centre...a plus point but hey there are nicer hotels in the centre for the same money.( also there is really nothing around the adagio so after a flop you will probably hop on the bus to the centre). So if you are tired after a long journey and need an overnight stop this hotel is clean and convenient, but if you have the energy to get into town you will have more going on around.
Great value!
Only short walk from Avignon TGV and bus stop right at the door. Tours are available for booking at the hotel, really convenient! Downside is no wifi connection in the room, only on the ground floor.
May meet your needs...
Very far from old city of Avignon and tourist sites (>4km) BUT very close to the train station. No nearby restaurants so they send you on a ~1km walk to the supermarket Carrefour that closes at 9pm. The room has a kitchenette so that may suit you just fine. Front desk closes at 9pm so if you are late in arriving or your train is delayed then you had better have a phone to call because otherwise you are stuck - locked out and in the middle of nowhere. This is a bare bones room with a fridge, microwave and some dishes and cooking ware. Depending on what price you get it at you are either paying to much or getting fair value.
I didn't undersand why the guests have to go to the reception to access the wifi? It is very inconenent. But the other facilities are good and new
Big room and bathroom with full kitchenette
Hotel is located near TGV station (400m and can reach by foot) but a distance from city centre. Regular shuttle to city centre is within 50m walk from the hotel. There is nothing to see or do in the surrounding area. Room is clean, relatively big and kitchenette is well equipped. Daily housekeeping is provided except for the kitchen area which we have to clean up before departure otherwise a charge will be imposed. Bathroom is big but has no shower curtain so it gets very wet after use. No hair dryer or safe deposit box in the room. Reception desk opens from 8am to 9pm. Outside hours, key code is required for entry to hotel main door. If you leave you key in your room after hours, a charge will be imposed to open the bedroom door.
Hard to reach by bike, but worth it in the end.
Very very pleased. We were cycle touring and needed a place to stay for the night before catching the train home to the UK. We had booked the hotel as it was close to the TGV station, but getting to the hotel by bike from the Central train station was very difficult as the primary route suggested would involve taking a road on which bikes were not allowed. However, we found an alternative route with help from locals. We received a very friendly welcome at the hotel and although we had booked the day before and hadn't told them we had bikes they were incredibly accommodating and instantly upgraded our room so we would have more space in our room to store our bikes. You would never get such treatment in a British hotel! The room was very spacious for the price, with what must have been a king sized bed. The best feature was a kitchenette which allowed us to go out and buy ingredients to cook with, rather than being forced to eat out. The room was clean and in very good condition. We were very very pleased.
A very nice stay
This Adagio was excellent. It is clean, comfortable, had all the required utensils and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that WIFI is only available in the lobby area.
Basic but comfortable
We arrived by train for a 9 day stay and the hotel is only 10 minutes away from the TGV station. If you can manage your luggage yourself don't take a taxi as there is a minimum charge of 8 Euros. The hotel is bright and clean but the only sitting area is in the foyer. The studio room we were in, on the top floor (excellent lift), had a well fitted kitchen area and shower room and the bed was very comfortable, but it lacked armchairs to relax in. The bus into town was reliable and frequent.until 10.30pm. Unfortunately there were no restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel so we usually ate out in the town. The receptionist was the only member of staff we saw regularly but was always helpful.
Very good valeu
The hotel is quite good, but be ready to clean you room.I was surprised when I knew that they didn't clean the room, except if you pay 25 euros. Another negative point is the guy in the recepction, he's so arrogant! Anyway, I recommend the hotel, it's a good base to explore beautiful villages in Provence, like: Baux, Gordes, Isle sur la Sorgue etc.
Dissappointed
We had two rooms at this hotel. I had reserved a larger two-room unit, but was given only a single room when I arrived. The air conditioner was noisy and the amenities were non-existent. I would not go back.
No receptionist after 6pm, the pnone number is not correct
Just beware that there is no staff working in the whole building after 6pm. So if you check in after 6pm you have to let them know. We spent a couple of days in Paris before going to Avignon and wanted to call this hotel to let them know our late arrival. Unfortunately the information they sent to me by email is not correct. The telephone number is not existing!!! I can't believe this! When we arrived at this hotel obviously no body there. This is a very very misable memory to us!
Hotel deserves higher rating
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and were satisfied with provided service, quality of the rooms. You need a car to stay there. It was 15 min of drive to Avignon downtown. Carrefour (equivalent of Wal-Mart superstore) is 3-5 min of drive to buy groceries, etc. Really well performing free Internet, enough for Skype, youtube, uploading pictures, etc. It requires Ethernet port on the laptop though (not wireless).
pleasant stay
friendly any experienced personel very good breakfast
We have already filled in the
We have already filled in the Rate a hotel form and posted this while in France-we were rather sad with the staff,in the breakfast room, at the desk, the room cleaners, all could have been more helpful-otherwise this hotel was good value for the price paid
Citéa Avignon
We confirmed our reservation by email (in French) several days prior to our arrival. We arrive at 7 pm and no one was at the desk and there was no number to call. We had to call back to the US and get help. Finally the website call center informed us (after 45 minute international call) that there was a safe with the keys in it and how to get into the safe. When we opened it up (this is after about 2 hour wait), all the other room keys were there. This is not a safe situation and was very inconvenient. No one warned us that this would happen. Hotel is very new and near the TGV station but a distance from old city. Room was spacious and had mini kitchen.
10 min walk from TGV station.
10 min walk from TGV station. Arrived late. Staff had provided access information by email so I could get in and get my key. Reasonable buffet breakfast.
MUST check-in in their office hour!
I've booked 2 twin rooms in 2 different webs, because each of them can provide 1 room only. But after I arrive, the hotel only provide 1 room for us, and they don't have 24-hour front desk. We need 4 ppl squeeze in 1 room at the first night!!!! The hotel 's explanation is they find I use the same name in 2 websites, they cancel 1 room automatically!! And the staff didn't say ANY sorry for that!!! MUST check-in in their office hour, otherwises, you may get no room!
water dripping from the ceiling and they did nothing....
we checked in at 7pm, there was water dripping from the ceiling, and their solution...."come back at 7AM..." COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
Nice Hotel
It's close to Avignon TGV station, just 5 min walk. You can catch a bus to City Center easily. It's good place to stay for the value of money.
good
very good
will go again
we live in studio, having alot of facilities for making dine which is so convenient, the location is also excellent, though apart from the center, but it's tidy and quiet. will go again
Nice hotel a bit far out though
Very pleasant hotel near TGV station. It's an aparthotel. Our room had two single beds, although we had requested a double room. we thought it was the usual continental practice so we didn't complain. Though I wish we had as it does become inconvenient. Anyway, I'm sure the staff would have helped as they were generally rather helpful. Location isn't great though you can get the express TGV bus to the town centre for Euros1.20. Access by car is a bit tricky. The car park isn't clearly sign-posted. Conveniently there is a rear entrance to the hotel from the car park (you need the code). Our room had a little kitchenette, with fridge, sink and cooker. Very useful and nice addition. Strangely, hotel only had one iron and they didn't know who'd borrowed it. Same thing happened at another French hotel. Don't they iron clothes in France?! Overall, not a bad hotel, a little pricey and not hugely convenient but very clean, nice facilities and helpful staff.
Good find
Great little apartment close to the TGV station (5-10 mins walk) and a couple of mins walk from the bus service that takes you to and from the city centre. Apartment style means you are not confined to the restaurant in the apart-hotel, even though the kitchen is very basic. Check in was smooth, with English-speaking staff and it was possible to leave our baggage at reception upon check out - meaning we could roam Avignon without our case in tow. Not 5 star luxury, but well placed and reasonably priced. As this is a chain of apart-hotels I would consider using them elsewhere in France.
MOST DEFINITELY IMPRESSED
We stayed in an apartment with bedroom / lounge area, separate equipped kitchen, W.C. & shower. So unlike a hotel you can come & go when you please. Free WI-FI. The staff are extremely helpful with a good knowledge of English. The rooms are airconditioned, so any outside noise during the day is not noticable with the double glazed windows. 5 min walk from the TGV station & right outside is the Navette TGV shuttle bus to take you to Avignon centre costing 1.20 euros per trip. The only downside is the whole building is No Smoking, so a quick ciggie outside is the only option. WILL MOST DEFINITELY USE THE CITEA GROUP ON ALL OUR TRIPS TO FRANCE IN THE FUTURE,as they have a Citea in virtually every major tourist spot ( some with swimming pools!! ) So thank you Citea Avignon, you made our holiday a pleasure.
very nice
This hotel is green, meaning lights go on when needed. It has a fully stocked kitchen (plate, bowls, glasses, utensils) and a nice bathroom. Two things disappointed - the air conditioning was not efficient at all and the fan had three speeds - low, very low, and off. The window opened so the room was tolerable at night, but never cooled off during the day. I couldn't complain at the desk because I left before anyone arrived in the morning and returned after the front desk closed each night. The hours for the front desk were very short - it closed at 6 on a Saturday, leaving some travelers who just arrived looking for someone to give them their key.
Too far from city centre, 10 minutes
Too far from city centre, 10 minutes by car, not by foot... Also, a very strange demand to clean kitchenette and to wash dishes after oneself, if not 25 euro added to the bill... Otherwise all right, but based on the distance from the major attractions, I would not stay there again....
close to TGV station, keep in
close to TGV station, keep in mind that it might be difficult to get access into the hotel when too late arriving (after 9pm)
Good choice for family travel
I had a spacious room with a kitchen. New and clean. About 10-15 minutes walk to one of the two train stations in Avignon. But the service is so-so.
