It was a really good stay! It’s a great hotel for the price you pay. For the check-in I would only improve the communication in English but overall we understood each other.

Not a bad room. Location was close to the train station which was good, but the hotel is on the 5th floor. Elevator took us to the lobby but we still had to navigate a very narrow stairway with our luggage. We managed. It was just for one night.

The bedroom and toilet is huge and the whole place is so clean ! Although the lady who tended to me does not speak English , we both somehow understand each other. It is close to the train station as well as a short walk to all the sights ! Well located

Welcoming B&B close to train station

A pleasant and welcoming B&B that's as close to the train station as you can get. Our room was generously sized and was very clean. Breakfast was delivered after submitting an order the night before, which was an interesting twist after the recent continental breakfasts we had been having till then. The host is lovely and kind. The area around the station is a bit scuzzy so do make sure you're aware of the directions and surroundings. The stairs to our room were *very* narrow so definitely make sure you're not bringing heavy or bulky luggage. The shower cubicle is small, but this is Europe!

Great Location and Friendly Service

We had a great stay in this family-run hotel. The service is excellent and you get very helpful tips. Usually areas close to stations are neither the cleanest nor the safest, but it is different here. Ideally located at the central station, at the entrance to the historic centre and also close to the old harbour. Breakfast is brought to the room, coffee and various types of croissants were of good quality, as you would expect in Italy. I can only recommend this friendly place.

Sicilian hospitality at its best.

How lovely to be in a small, family-run business and not a chain. I really felt that I was in Sicily and getting glimpses of family life. It is so near to Palermo Centrale station that as a couple that don't fly but travel everywhere from England by train it was the perfect find. Although on the fifth floor there is an ancient lift that transports one to reception and a smiling Maria who, no matter what time of day or night, seems there to check one in. We'd asked for a quiet room and that's exactly what we got with a glimpse of the sea. It was huge with comfortable bed, desk, chairs and wardrobe. The bathroom was spacious too with large shower space and hot, hot water. The whole B&B is absolutely spotless and, if one pops back, at any time one sees the family working so hard to make ones stay perfect. Breakfast of cornetti and coffee was delivered to our room at a time we specified. If one turns left out of the front door and left again on the main street one can walk down to the Botanical Gardens and the sea. Turn right on the main road and right again a little further up than opposite the station and one is in a fantastic street market and then further on into the old town. We ate both nights at 'Trattoria Trapani' near the station and had very good meals. It only opens from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and the owner is charming. I would thoroughly recommend staying at Albergo Cavour for a slice of Sicilian hospitality.

This is a basic but very comfortable hotel, close to the station, just off via Roma. Palermo is easily walkable, and the historic centre is about 15 or 20 minutes along via Roma or via Maqueda.

It is OK and really cheap!

The hotel is in a good position: less than a minute away from Central station and a few minutes from the city centre. Large and clean room with sea view. Some problem with water and shower. Free but not fast wi-fi. Simple but tasty breakfast. Very cheap price!

The hotel is very close to the train station. I chose it as I arrive Palermo late at night and wanted to find somewhere that is easy to find. No complaint about the hotel except the price for the room is quite high compared to other hotels..

Great location - spotlessly clean!

This was a great stay! The Cavour is just one minute from the train station and so not only well-placed for public transport, but within walking distance of most of the sights of Palermo. The room was spotlessly clean (and serviced every day), which I greatly appreciated. The bathroom was fine, with a clean and powerful overhead shower. I paid extra for the breakfast, which was very good value. The family are really friendly and welcoming, without crowding you, and there was no problem with communication. I definitely recommend it!

Good little hotel. Location is great - close to station and not too far from main shopping areas. Lift is welcome as it's five floors up. My single room had great big balcony with nice view of train station and towards mountain. Shared bathroom was kept clean.

A week in Palermo

I had a lovely time in Palermo and Albergo Cavour served as the perfect place to stay. Conveniently located near the train station the hotel was clean, quiet and secure. My room was airconditioned, had ensuite facilities and was cleaned daily. Staff are very friendly and attentive (the hotel is family run) even with their limited knowledge of English. A sumptuous breakfast is provided at the time you want it and the free WiFi is convenient too. Staff will try to accommodate all requests. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone.

A hidden gem

The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. This is a privately owned hotel where they live on site. My only objection is having to go outside of our room to use the washroom and there was a separate bathroom for showers. The room was beautiful and historic.

Decent stay for a good price.

The room was great, clean and spacious, but without bathroom. Staff wasn't very kind at first (maybe because of late check-in), but later, the contact was much better. 2 min walking from the station (not sure if the neighbourhood was safe - didn't have time to check it).

Definitely is worth the money

Albergo Cavour is located on the 6th floor of an apartment building. Pros: - Great location just a block away from the train station and very close to the major Palermo attractions - Quiet - High ceiling - Balcony (tiny) - Typical Italian breakfast, fresh and always promptly brought to your room at the time you request the day before - Unbelievably friendly and warm staff always willing to help and accommodate your needs even before you are aware of them Cons: - Soundproof is almost non-existent - The room length, width and height are all of approximately the same size - The beds were not comfortable: - the pillows were flat and thin - there’s some sort of a plastic mattress cover underneath the sheets (to prevent body fluid leakages?), which makes the already uncomfortable mattress make annoying sounds with your every move However, the friendliness of the staff makes up for all the little deficiencies listed here, and we would happily stay there again if we ever come back to Palermo.

What a bargain

Decided to stay at this hotel again because of the great service, convenient location and friendly staff.

Great value and service, perfect location

Perfect location, right outside the central station, staff are helpful and friendly. The only thing I don't quite get is why it is only a one star hotel. With the service, location and everything, I would personally raise it at 2 or even 3 stars. It will probably be my first choice to stay if I travel to Palermo again :)

Liegt eine Ecke vom Bahnhof weg, aber keine schöne Gegend. Das Albergo liegt in einem Mietshaus im 5. Stock mit schönem Treppenhaus und nostalgischem Aufzug. Es ist stilvoll eingerichtet. Frühstück wird aufs Zimmer gebracht.

Not recommended

First the good things: clean room and breakfast in room (due to COVID). Now what should be corrected/amended by the hotel to improve the customer experience. They don't send any pre-stay emails informing guests at all about their rules/conditions (how can we know if they don't inform us beforehand??). In all websites they say they offer parking (paying parking, not free), but that's not correct. We arrived at night (23:00) due to a problem we had with the car and Palermo is not an easy city to drive in or find parking spots. We called them to ask about our parking and the woman on the phone didn't help much, she said they didn't have parking and that she doesn't know where we can park. I asked about ZTL (zona tráfico limitata) as you can get fined if you drive the car into the hotel streets without a permission and other hotels in Palermo have always helped us with the ZTL permission. They didn't help with this either. Luckily we found a parking spot 5 minutes away from the hotel and we walked there. When we arrived no smiles, no nice faces. I asked and they said that their paying parking lot closes at 20:00 and it was 23:00 (they never informed us before) that their ZTL permission is expired and only lasts 6 months, which is weird because again all B&Bs we stayed in Palermo have always helped with that. I wouldn't recommend this place to stay. There are many places to stay at this price in Palermo and you will get welcomed with a smile and good assistance.

Hotel sorpresa. PULITISSIMO. La proprietaria GENTILISSIMA. Per una tale pulizia e precisione a Londra, Parigi o New York si pagano 700 euro a notte! La posizione e' fantasica ad un minuto dalla stazione centrale.

家庭的なホテルでとても快適でした。駅から近いので遠出して多少遅くて暗くなっても安心して帰ることが出来ました。次回パレルモに行く機会があったらまた泊まります。

中央駅からすぐ近く、移動に便利。朝食は品数は少ないが毎日選べて、クロワッサンがおいしかった。部屋はとても清潔。シャワーのみだが熱いお湯が絶えず出る。家族経営のようで、皆とても親切。主に対応してくれた女性は英語とスペイン語も対応可能。ベットは寝心地が良かった。とても古い建物の5階だが、雰囲気のあるエレベーターがあるので、困ることはない。ただ入り口が分かりにくく、通りにある看板をたどっても、建物の入り口の案内を見逃しやすい。夜間はとても静か。

Tout est extrêmement propre : de la chambre à la salle de bain commune. L’albergo Cavour est au 5 ème étage d’un grand bâtiment à proximité des transports (gare, station bus inter-cité).

J'ai passé un excellent séjour de 3 nuits dans une chambre avec balcon, donnant sur la ville, dans un quartier très calme et très proche des sites à ne pas manquer de voir à Palerme. Le petit plus, petit déjeuner servit dans la chambre. L'accueil est vraiment très très chaleureux, personnel très dévoué, qui rend le séjour vraiment très agréable. Je conseille vivement ce lieu d'hébergement très abordable, d'une propreté remarquable.

Especial Albergo em Palermo

Muito bom B&B, super bem localizado, tanto para quem chega de ônibus/trem ou avião, já que o ônibus que faz o percurso Palermo/ Aeroporto tem seu ponto na estação central. Ainda que no quinto andar de um prédio antigo, conta com elevador. O banheiro compartilhado, mas sempre limpo e ordenado. Atendimento muito atencioso, café da manhã bom. Super boa relação custo/ benefício.

部屋は広くとても清潔で快適でした。 駅から近いですが、建物の5,6階にあるため外の騒がしさは殆どなく静かでしたが、ご家族で経営されているホテルのようで賑やかな声が響くことも時折あり、イタリアらしいなあと感じました。 朝食は甘いクロワッサン、飲み物、ヨーグルトを各々数種類から選べ、前日に内容と時間を指定して朝に部屋に届けて貰えるシステムです。 甘いもの好きなため、とても美味しく頂きました。

Accueil parfait malgré arrivée à 1h du matin (train retardée). Gentillesse extrême. Belle chambre très propre.

中央駅から2-3分の距離にあり交通に便利。空港行きバスの始点でもある。旧市街の観光地にも徒歩で行ける距離。 低価格で好条件。共通シャワーとあったが、実際に充てがわれた部屋はクイーンサイズベッドの広い部屋で、シャワー、トイレ付きの部屋で改装してあり清潔感あった。エレベーターが時代もので、映画を見てる様だった。夜到着、翌朝出発だったので、寝るだけなら充分である。

とても親切なフロント対応

フロントの対応が親切でとても良い。朝食はクロワッサンとカフェオレの簡単なものだがこちらの希望の時間に部屋に持ってきてくれる。チェックアウトしてから２日間スーツケースを預かってもらったのでとても助かったし、駅、バスターミナルまで数分なのも良い。
