Staking

Sidechains and Smart Contracts
Stratis Sidechains allow companies and individuals to create bespoke, personalized blockchains. This includes the sidechain’s unique currency, which can be used to provide gas for smart contracts. STRAX can be exchanged for the sidechain currency using a deposit-withdrawal system.
Masternodes
The trustless dynamic membership protocol enables anyone to join the network as a functioning Masternode by meeting a minimum staked STAX collateral requirement. 50% of the STRAX Blockchain block reward is distributed to Stratis Masternodes, split evenly between those that are active.
