1. Introduction
These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the Bitcoin January Campaign (the “Giveaway”). By entering into this Giveaway, you agree to the Terms contained herein, and the terms and conditions accessible at www.travala.com/terms-and-conditions (“Website Terms”). The Giveaway is offered by Travala Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered address at 160 Robinson Road, #14-04 Singapore Business Federation Center, Singapore 068914 (“us”, “we”, “our”, or “Travala.com”). In these Terms, references to “you” or “Participant” shall mean any person or entity that enters into or participates in this Giveaway.
2. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to residents of all jurisdictions, except where federal, state, or local laws prohibit residents from entering this Giveaway, and is void to the extent prohibited by law. Participants must be over eighteen (18) years of age to enter the Giveaway. Our employees, contractors, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, partners, and directors, as well as the immediate family members of the aforementioned persons, are ineligible to participate in the Giveaway.
3. Entry Period
The Giveaway begins on 1 January 2025 at 7:00 AM UTC and concludes on 31 January at 11:59 PM UTC (“Entry Period”). To enter the Giveaway, entries must be received within the specified Entry Period, as determined by the timestamp of the transaction in Travala.com’s booking system.
4. How to Enter
The Giveaway comprises two independent giveaways:
Booking Lucky Draw (Giveaway 1):
Participants can enter Giveaway 1 by booking any flight, hotel, or activity on Travala.com with a minimum value of US$400 with an Eligible Cryptocurrency Payment Method (as defined below) between 1 and 31 January 2025 for travel commencing between 1 January 2025 and 30 April 2025. Eligible Participants will be automatically entered to the Giveaway 1 draw. Each Participant is limited to one (1) entry for Giveaway 1. If multiple eligible bookings are made, only the first eligible booking will count towards entry.
An “Eligible Crypto Payment Method” means any of the following payment methods available at the payment page on Travala.com: Crypto, Wallet, Web3 Wallet, Binance Pay, and Crypto.com Pay. Bookings made using partial payment will qualify if the primary payment method is an Eligible Crypto Payment Method. For the purpose of clarity, any payment or partial payment made using a credit card, debit card, or any other fiat payment option will not qualify. Bookings that are cancelled by you or any third party, including carriers or accommodation providers, will not qualify for an entry.
Referrer Lucky Draw (Giveaway 2):
Participants can enter Giveaway 2 by referring a new user via the Invite Program (“Invitee“) between 1 and 31 January 2025. The Invitee must book an accommodation on Travala.com with a minimum value of US$400 using any payment method, with travel dates between 1 January 2025 and 30 April 2025. If these requirements are met, the Participant who referred the Invitee will be entered into Giveaway 2. The Invitee will not be entered into Giveaway 2.
One (1) entry will be awarded to the Participant for each new Invitee who signs up via the Participant’s invite link. There is no limit for the number of entries a Participant can receive for Giveaway 2. All entries are subject to verification, and fraudulent or duplicate referrals, as determined by us, will be disqualified. For the avoidance of doubt, standard invite rewards will apply for both the Participant and Invitee, as specified in the Invite Program.
5. Odds
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. In Giveaway 1, since each Participant is limited to one (1) entry, all entries have the same and equal odds of winning. In Giveaway 2, however, a Participant can increase their odds of winning by inviting more Invitees, with each Invitee counting as an additional entry.
6. Prize
The prizes for Giveaway 1 and Giveaway are US$10,000 in Bitcoin each, for a total prize pool of US$20,000 (collectively, the “Prizes“). Two (2) Participants whose entries qualify will be selected via a lucky draw to each win Giveaway 1 and Giveaway 2 (the “Winners“). The Prizes will be credited to the wallet addresses provided by the Winners after they are contacted and verified. The Prizes will be credited by 14 May 2025. The Prizes will be calculated at an exchange rate selected at our sole discretion and prevailing at the time of crediting (i.e. on a date selected by us between 1 and 14 May 2025). For the avoidance of doubt, it is possible for a Participant who successfully enters both Giveaway 1 and Giveaway 2 to win both Prizes.
The Prizes will not be substituted for cash, another cryptocurrency, or any other form of consideration under any circumstances. Any such request may result in the forfeiture of the Prizes, at our sole discretion.
The Winners, upon acceptance of the Prizes, are solely responsible for all taxes, expenses, or costs related to the Prizes, including without limitation any and all local, state, and federal taxes. The Winners are advised to consult with a tax professional regarding their obligations. No tax advice or assistance will be provided by us.
7. New User First Booking Bonus
New users who register for an account on Travala.com (“Travala Account”) and book their first flight, hotel, or activity with a minimum value of US$400 with an Eligible Crypto Payment Method (see clause 4 above) between 1 and 31 January 2025 for travel commencing between 1 January 2025 and 30 April 2025 will receive US$50 in Bitcoin to their Travala Account (the “Bonus“). Bookings made using partial payment will be eligible if all payment methods used in the transaction are Eligible Crypto Payment Methods. The Bonus will be credited within fourteen (14) days of 14 May 2025. The Bonus will be calculated at an exchange rate selected at our sole discretion and prevailing at the time of crediting (i.e. on a date selected by us between 1 and 14 May 2025). Bookings that are cancelled by you or any third party, including carriers or accommodation providers, will not qualify for the Bonus.
8. Selection and Notification of Winners
The Winners will be selected by a lucky draw out of all eligible entries and will be notified by email by 14 May 2025. The email will be sent to the Winner’s Travala Account email address used to enter the relevant Giveaway during the Entry Period.
We are not responsible for, nor shall have any liability for, a Winner’s failure to receive notifications due to email security settings that may cause notifications to be marked as spam or junk email, a Winner’s provision of incorrect, outdated, or otherwise non-functioning contact information, or errors or inaccuracies in the wallet addresses provided by the Winner.
If a Winner is found to be ineligible, illegitimate, in violation of these Terms or the Website Terms, or if a Winner fails to respond to our email within seven (7) days of the email communication, the Prize may be forfeited, and an alternate Winner may be selected at our sole discretion.
Receipt of the Prizes offered in the Giveaway is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. IF A WINNER VIOLATES ANY OF THESE TERMS OR THE WEBSITE TERMS, THE WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND ALL RIGHTS AND CLAIMS OF THE WINNER TO THE PRIZE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY VOID.
9. Rights We Reserve
We reserve the right to cancel the Giveaway or amend these Terms at any time and without prior notice. We also reserve the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at our sole discretion, including but not limited to where individuals tamper with or attempt to tamper with the operation or entry process of the Giveaway, or otherwise violate these Terms or the Website Terms. By entering this Giveaway, you represent and warrant that you are eligible to participate in the Giveaway and agree to accept our decisions as final and binding as they relate to the rules of this Giveaway.
10. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
By entering this Giveaway, you agree to indemnify, release, and hold harmless Travala.com, its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, contractors, and officers from and against any and all claims, liability, losses, damages, deficiencies, actions, judgments, settlements, interest, awards, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses of any kind (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees and the costs of enforcing any indemnification under these Terms) arising out of or in connection with (i) your participation in the Giveaway; (ii) the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any awarded Prize or any portion thereof; (iii) any technical failure, including but not limited to issues with transmissions, phone, or internet service availability; (iv) unauthorised interference or tampering with the any part of the entry process or the Giveaway; or (v) any electronic or human error in the administration of the Giveaway or the processing of entries.
11. Governing Law
THESE TERMS AND THE GIVEAWAY ARE GOVERNED BY AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE. You agree, as a condition of participating in this Giveaway, that any dispute, controversy or claim between you and us and/or our subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, contractors, and officers,arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the Giveaway (“Dispute”) shall first be attempted to be resolved confidentially and in good faith by Contacting Us. If the Dispute cannot be resolved through such manner, the Dispute shall be individually resolved exclusively before the courts of Singapore without regard to any choice or conflict of laws rules, without resorting to any form of class action.
12. Privacy Policy
Any data or information that you submit with an entry shall be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
